1. Since they are holding our tax and stimulus money 🤔 shouldn't we be getting interest 🤔 I mean I can't even get a hold of a representative. What if I need to verify my information... If someone is holding your money you should be getting interest unless you're just doing it out of the good of your heart. The government is bigger than ever and has super computers so there is no way we should not have our money. they are clearly making money off of our money or manipulating our money to make money/etc.
because its a scam the IRS is.a corporate business and the government knows this. Stimulus checks are direct from the president DEMAND and income taxes are not!

@SD Luciano the way your getting your stimulus is based off your taxes. So if someone moved this year or has a new bank account. The irs will see their old information from 2019 or 2020 and people will still not receive there stimulus. They need to finish processing people’s taxes in order for individuals to receive their stimulus checks.

Okay, so here is my rant. They said to wait ten weeks for a refund. Does that mean that the next time I happen to owe the IRS, I can say, sorry, I have no information about your upcoming payment, you'll need to wait ten weeks for information???
Same here. E Filed early, still processing. SMH. I was expecting to have taxes by now to pay my bills. Been slowly sinking since this rona thing kicked off.
Been 21 days and I just called yesterday and got told it could be up to April 27 before I even see my refund. But I can promise if I owe money they would be harassing and threating me to pay. Not only that a family member did theirs this Sunday and is already getting it back Wednesday next week. Like wtf. I been waiting since Feb 12 and nothing.
I sent our 2019 tax return by mail on 7/2/2020 with a check for over $3500 for taxes we owed. They cashed it on 7/8/2020, only six days after I sent it. But yet we still have not gotten our 2nd stimulus check and they still have not processed our 2020 return which I sent by mail. It has been a month and it says it is still in transit, been over a month now since I sent it. So yes, when we owe money they take it quickly, but owe us money, takes forever.
@Lost One normally yes but I had overpaid in taxes to unemployment plus I never got my first stimulus check so I had to claim it. Other wise my income tax stays pretty balanced to bout 100 a or less back a year.

Filed electronically on Feb 4, with direct deposit. Still waiting. I switched banks in November and because the IRS hasn't processed my return, it still has the old information and will attempt to deposit my stimulus check into a closed account. This is an absolutely ridiculous!!
Everytime I hear these fools say that their system is outdated nobody ask why they don't update and use new technology to get this done correctly. This will keep happening if we as the tax payers don't make them update they 50 year old way of doing things. We are in different times so it's time to advance this country for the future.
Yet they have no problem when it comes to taking your money. I filed my 2019 tax return in July because they extended the deadline. I sent my return by mail with a check for over $3500 for taxes we owed. I sent it on July 2, 2020 and they cashed my check on July 8, 2020. And apparently they never processed it, just took the check out, because we still have not received our 2nd stimulus check. I sent our 2020 tax return on February 17, 2021 with the indication that I would get a refund because of not receiving the 2nd stimulus money and it still says it is in transit one month later. Funny how when we owe money it gets there faster, but when they owe us money it takes forever!!
If so many other jobs and companies are able update there computers to provide staff the ability to work from home why can’t to IRS? They need to call one of these big tech companies and get some help.

My husband and I e-filed in mid February without using direct deposit. We also had to put in for our second stimulus check. We got our refund check for our 2020 taxes and second stimulus amount in the mail on March 2nd.
My refund status was saying the same thing after I filed early. Now I get a letter in the mail telling me that I have to verify my identity almost a month later. The online tool would not except my information and the agent on the hotline wouldn't" except my information. Now I have to go in person to the local IRS office and show my I'd in order to get my return.
They will most likely tell you that you are a victim of identity fraud. That is what happened to me one year. I had to prove who I was with official documents for name changes ECT. I was married twice so I had to order documents showing my name changes and a whole lot more. I now have to mail my return in and it takes months to get it. I've had to hire tax advocates to help me get my refund almost every year since. Illegal people with no citizenship take over your identity causing you great hardships.
38 days and nothing I need my money now I have 3 living babies and a another baby due in June I can't even get my baby all his items he will need once he's here this is breaking me down.
I've been waiting for 3 months now for my return. I had to get an advocate to try and help me get it after 3 months of waiting. The advocate won't tell me anything other than it's taken longer. This is totally unacceptable.
The problem is the tax code change with 1040X. Now most tax forms have to be reviewed with old and new stimulus requirements. And with understaffed and overwhelmed employees, everything will take longer, so it will be 45 to 10 weeks on most tax refunds. If it goes past the April 15 date that you didn’t receive a refund, then a interest will be added later.

Same here! We could really use the money. My husband and I are self-employed in the construction industry and this past year was far worse than 2019. We will need to send in our quarterly income taxes by the end of April. I have already decided that if we don't get our 2nd and 3rd stimulus money before then, they will not be getting no money from us. We are barely able to pay our regular bills. They expect us to pay on time, but they don't have to.
Feel so bad for all the folks needing their refund money. Got the first stimulus check in mail. Got the third check on Direct Express Card as I am on SSDI. Never got the second stimulus for 600. Filed electronically on Feb. 9 and still waiting. The only reason folks on Ssdi or SSI or retirement got the 1400 was because Congress got involved. Bottom line is IRS don't give a crap about the people. They just want their money when you owe them. But when they owe you it's a different matter altogether.
Not only are they not giving us answers, it is almost impossible to get a hold of them. If you call they give you the same information automated, that you would get checking online. It’s been almost or over 21 days since I filed and my return is still processing. Has anyone been successful in getting a hold of a live agent?
Mine was accepted on 13th of February using hrblock and was still on processing. The bar is off now and tells me that it is still being processed and a refund date will be given if available. Even my state is still processing. 🤮
I did my taxes a month ago on line...Got my state tax refund in a week...Got the stimulus check almost right away but I still waiting for my federal taxes refund...I checked the IRS website twice...their response is 'waiting to be process' no date available for refund yet...for real!

It's amazing that they can count millions of votes in just a couple of days, but it takes all year to count tax returns. I filed in February the last couple of years and I still haven't got my money yet. And it's November. I didn't get my money until the end of November last year 😡😡😡
Going on 39 days for me. Never did get my second stimulus check also. I was supposed to get my 3rd stimulus yesterday never happened. Gave them a call and they said 1 to 5 days to get it.
I filed early and still waiting for my federal tax money where i overpaid the government. I have received my money from the state but not my federal money. I've checked on where's my refund with nothing more than a general processing statement. I've checked my IRS transcript with no updated there either. I also tried calling with a message saying they are overwhelmed and not accepting calls at this time. Any other advice is greatly appreciated and thanks for the video.
@@colin1626 You can go online and see your transcript after setting up an account. May be beneficial in your case considering 2 weeks has gone by without any information. Your statement is right in line with all delays. Hope you get your information soon and better yet your money.
They can wait and delay our refunds and its no big deal. Yet if they don't get our money from our checks every week then its hell coming your way. They going to get your money from you no matter what.

Suing my tax provider for false advertising and I was overcharged for products they couldn't make good on .. Like efile quick return and receiving my state and federal together .. Isn't there a 7 x overcharging fee by law? They owe me 7x $200.00 then
I waited last year for my return 4 months and I got $19. Interest and it's taxed. This year I've waited 3 months so far and still no return. I had to get an advocate to help me get it but now she won't tell me anything more than it's taking longer. This happens to me almost every year.
