exactly how i feel but i recently turned 20 and i can assure you no one really listens to this music outside of like 12-17 y/o kids no hate to the new artist i like a few of them but unfortunatly they dont have a lot of fame cause they dont make trasshy trendy brain rot music

I really feel bad for him. I fw some of his songs like what they say, nothing like uuu, and that one song. But it's gotta hurt knowing pierre bourne and lucki, who are both major figures in the underground, were both not messing with him. Just me personally I get rlly frustrated when ppl make fun of me or just have no respect for me bc they didn't give me a chance at all. Which is why I feel bad for nett bc he prolly gets frustrated too knowing hes putting all this work in to evolve his image and quality of music and everyone just hates bc of his previous stuff he dropped where he wasn't as experienced and didn't have better beats. Plus he seemed so proud of himself and wholesome talking to pierre just saying for him to say hi, and pierre covered his face and put his hoodie on. Which clearly pierre likes nett bc hes a producer on netts upcoming album, so there's no reason he should be switching up as soon as the fact he's around nett in the first place is in public eyes.
i LOVE deftones and ive loved the sample “entombed” for a while. when i heard nett rap on it in the leak i didnt like it at first but when nothing like uuu grew on me i got excited for it. being a fan of deftones doesnt mean u gotta hate nett and if u do for that sake ur slow
The main issue with Nettspend is in his music, he doesn't sound like he's taking it seriously. His flow is all over the place and his vocal delivery is super lazy. That already puts casual listeners' respect for him in the dirt, then on top of that he's not all that personable like Destroy Lonely, Ken Carson or even Osamason in interviews and stuff. He seems like he's super out of it all the time and forcing a persona, and it's hard for people other than young kids to get behind you when you're not giving people anything. There's quite a few artists that I'm not a super fan of their music but their personality alone makes you like them. He has spurts of showing promise, like in his Rolling Loud live performance and with a few of his music videos. The "nothing like uuu" music video specifically was really well done. But he's going to have to create better music with more locked in flows and vocal deliveries and be a bit more personable on camera in order to get taken more seriously. Even Matt Ox and (arguably) Lil Shine have more respect and look where they started from. It all starts with the music, "nothing like uuu" changed some fans minds (mine included) so he just needs to make more bangers and he'll be alright. He's got plenty of time to grow as an artist.
I agree with the entire second half, but the first half bro?? I feel like he’s 15 just let him grow into it, those other people u names are at least a few years older. He got time to mature and grow into his fame, evolve the sound
For me what is the most annoying in his music is his lyrics. He can come up with pretty original and fun flows even tho sometimes you can see he just doesn't give af and just uses wtvr flow comes to his mind, but for me, if the lyrics don't hit at all or aren't fun it just makes it wayyy worse. If he talked abt some more interesting stuff in his music other than just drugs n fkin h0es and talked more abt his life, his passions etc it would be muuuchhh better cuz wtf are those lazy ahh lyrics
Music wise the main problem is his lyrics. Flow wise he can be pretty creative and fun to listen to even tho you can hear that sometimes he ain't tryin at all and just comes with wtvr flow comes to his mind without working on it or trying to make it sound good The big issue for me is the lyrics. that video was so cool. i like the deftones guitars in the music and nett flow is ok (unique, i can give it that) but the vid where he just starts flying outta nowhere on beat drop is so funny and elevating, im not even kidding. his videos are so good he's a star
he's a scrawny white kid that made music a lot of people didn't fw at first . the meme of trashing on nettspend was more trendy than actually listening to nettspend . as nettspend started dropping better songs : 2024 freestyle , otw , nothing like u , people started seeing that nettspend is actually a good artist . his image has changed so much from just a couple years ago, so there's always going to be that meme of his person in some way.
this the first time i tried hearing out on nettspend fr like tryna enjoy it, and I'm ngl, I really cant get into it, I listened to not like uuu like u mentioned, and I did like the beat, but the second he started talking i couldn't really take it serious. he ain't even on beat, he ain't even on key in some of his songs that i checked either. i understand if that's the intention, but i think its low effort disguising itself as a quirk.

I think the idea of not being able to listen to certain artists after a certain age is no longer valid. All these artists are just talking about the same thing and the newgen is just regurgitating the same shit over different beats. I think to be 25+ (I’m 26) and like this newgen music isn’t far fetched. I do think it takes the right taste in music genre wise to get it tho. And the hate is nothing new. The last generation getting into positions of power taste making wise in the music scene redoing what the older generations did to them and when the younger people get in those positions, flowers will be given. Just crazy we can’t recognize this cycle.

I feel like there’s a threshold of fame that once you break, you can’t sample songs and go under the radar anymore. It’s why more obscure songs with samples don’t get striked but songs on major labels like this song are getting striked… I had thought it was cleared no? Seems weird to take so long to drop a song with a sample alluding to the fact that it’s cleared only for it to get taken down LMAO. But hopefully it’s resolved… If anything getting strikes for samples shows you’re getting famous-ish because really it only happens if people know of your shit + it’s making $$… I wouldn’t say it’s hatred (from the band at least; their fans maybe so but who cares it’s a bunch of Reddit posts lmao) because it’s labels and copyright… They’ll always take an opportunity to strike someone and collect money when they can… Also might mention Nettspend’s divisive nature in terms of love/hate is what got him this far and what will take him farther.
