As for statistics over countries hosting refugees per capita, this usually does not tell the whole picture. Only Western countries tend to have an automated process of naturalization while countries like Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan host multiple generations of "refugees" for political/stability reasons.
Very true, also the fact that countries like Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan seldom actually pay up front for them supporting and housing refugees in the thousands to hundreds of thousands since the EU, UN and several other organizations provide support for it do it's not in their interest to house diasporas on their territory while for many reasons European countries do like controlled immigration. The intangibles when it comes to support are always left by the wayside
@@marcofavayou say that yet there are thousands of Syrians in tents on turkeys borders treated as Kurds and get the bare minimum. Whilst Turkey and Israel bomb Syria.
Which is at the core of this issue. All the past refugee crises have been resolved one way or another through one of the three solutions: 1. Naturalization 2. Refugees returning back post-war 3. Redistribution with UN mediation to other countries willing to take them in. The only unique case is the Palestinian case. You will find no other people having been refugees for more than a generation, much less 3 or 4. I guess maintaining this anomaly was one of the ways with which the Arab world coped with its defeats in Israel, keeping the Palestinian refugees and their descendants locked perpetually in camps, without any possibility of integrating in their new host countries. They kept hoping that one day, Israel will be defeated and they will return back after the Jews are driven into the sea... which didn't happen.
This is what is missing in most mainstream media. They focus on the immediate conflict itself, and do not cover the wider geopolitical chess game of the region.
It would be convenient for the World and Media to ignore the atrocities of the Israeli government, and focus on the atrocities of Hamas. Meanwhile the millions of innocent Palestinian civilians are being systematically destroyed

That's why politics will eventually lead to massacres and dehumanising of human. While people are arguing on the morality of such conflict which is irrelevant to the political point of view. It may be the main reason why all of this is happening, yet almost no one knows. As always, there's business behind every war and the US is always involved
You clearly have a gift for teaching! Turnning difficult to understand topics (in this case exeptionally difficult) into an easily digestible format is so hard to do
And in many ways simple wrong 😂 as it puts no historical background, only recent developments that tells nothing of intentional of actions , but that is predictable, since he doesn’t want to reveal it .
Why wasn't the colonization of Palestine discussed? When Israel created Gaza in 1967 and has since run the Gaza strip as an open-air prison...this is not new and questionable information. It is fact and is a major part of this genocide...I don't think this video tells the whole story and that's very unfortunate to see.
The Gaza Strip was administered by Egypt from 1948 to 1967 because Israel didn't include its national project. But Gaza didn't become an open air prison until Hamas violently took over in 2007. That's when Israel and Egypt closed their border crossings with Gaza (turning it into the open air prison that it is today.)
I understand that but there is some informatjon missing...In 1947 the UN announced the Palestine Partition Plan that would divide then Palestine into two states, one for Jewish people and one for the Arab people who have already inhabited the region for centuries. The Arab nations, including Egypt, were very much against this but they had no vote. At that time Britain had control over Palestine and once the resolution was passed, they abandoned Palestine for the partition to take place. This is when the zionist world organization initiated their invasion of Palestine aka the Israeli- Arab War. During that co fiction Israel advanced far out of the bounds that we're set by the resolution and the Arab states were able to maintain two sections of territory. One being the West Bank and the other being the Gaza strip. Many of the Palestinians who fled the Israeli forces ended up in the Gaza strip where they existed as a part of Egypt until 1967..when Israel attacked and then took over control of the borders and resources of Gaza. They control who and what could leave and when... then they proposed the Oslo accords that spit in the face of the native Palestinians and led to further strife. In 2005 the last elections of Gaza were held and that is where Hamas took control. Hamasaki was a group built for the liberation of their people. Once Hamas took control of Gaza, Egypt and Israel locked down the borders making it the open air prison it is today...
@@BarryAllen__1A23Even david ben-gurion admitted that zionists started the conflict. It's very simple European jews wanted to colonize palestina. According to zionist historian Benny Morris, zionists chose to accept the 1937 partition plan, so they could eventually takeover all of Palestine

How is it unbiased if he doesn't mention that Israel is a literal apartheid state cutting off access to clean water, electricity, and many other basic needs? Just because everything he said seems unbiased it doesn't mean there weren't things he avoided mentioning.
Before this war, Gaza had access to electricity for 4 hours a day (completely regulated by Israel.) Also the average age in Gaza is 18 years old, 60% of the population (300000) are displaced because of Isreal's attacks. This isn't a counter-offensive from Israel, they will kill as many people as they can before the UN steps in and tells them to not murder thousands of civilians for 200th time.

Nobody in their right mind would involve land transports through UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel into that. There is absolutely no benefit. Only cost and complications. All these countries already have trade relations.

Given how sensitive the Suez Canal is to events like the Evergreen ship and how much tonnage of goods it delays, I think this trade corridor will only further expand and increase the traffic of goods flowing from India to Europe. which means less money wasted on delays

There are wrongs on both, but you can’t say it’s fine if your side targets civilians deliberately, but it’s wrong if the other side might harm civilians unintentionally during air strikes. Not just, “well, we can’t get that murderer, so…let# grab a neighbors kid and maybe a teen girl and execute them…close enough.” No matter what the prior act, deliberately targeting toddlers and kidnapping them as “POWs” is wrong, on every level (morally, by rules of war it’s a war crime, and even Muslim scholars note that passages in the Koran forbids deliberately harming non-combatants).

Plus, I don't like how things got to this point & it's going to get even more difficult if things don't change or stop & renegotiate for a better peace.
we had the pleasure of tasting American/Nato Freedom in Libya and Iraq. we lerned the hard way ! "But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners. [Surah Al-Anfal | Ayah 30]@@Morty143
@@mansari7310he is Azeri. He knows Iranians are not Arabs. He included it ln the map which he falsely labeled as the Arab world because Iran is a major player in the Arab world despite not being in it per se. It's a small mistake for an otherwise pretty phenomenal video.
So, as a neutral party that has empathy for both sides, and would appreciate not being attacked, I would recommend those interested to continue watching videos and learn from multiple sources. Although a great video, all have some sort of bias, and the best thing we can all do if we are truly interested in learning and understanding is to remember that we will have a flawed understanding if we only take one source of truth. Prayers and love to all of you including Israel, Palestine, and the rest of the world.
What a great great job as always. My only suggestion would be to add subtitles to your amazing videos. Wish I could send this vid to my spanish speaking relatives and friends
As much as I like the analysis you provided and the effort you put in this video I still think its missing crucial details. Why not mention the root cause of the Palestinian conflict which is the Palestinian Nakba in 1948 and the fact that 750,000 palestinians got kicked out of their lands and 450 villages were razed and destroyed? Why have the Palestinians been under military occupation for the past decades?
Who started the war that lead to the Nakba? Also why did they declare war? Spoiler Alert. It was the Palestinians in reaction to the proposed 2 State solution by the UN. And this sadly is just how it went back then. The India Pakistan solution saw huge population displacements. So did the end of WW2
Maybe you can mention that Muslims built a mosque *on top of* the holiest site in Judaism, after they colonized Jerusalem. Arabs are invaders and colonizers, and they project this image that they’re indigenous - which is pretty clever of them to use time machines to construct the Jewish Temple Mount under their mosque
Seeing the “whole” green area for West Bank Palestine shows your bias. The Israelíes are occupying more and more of this area. It easy to agree that Hamas attack was heinous but we must also agree that Israel is an apartheid rule that is looking to minimize if not ethnically cleanse Palestinians in Israel.
"Every time there is a conflict, Israel mows the lawn. That is the expression they use, mowing the lawn. By which they mean the mass murder of Palestinians... I could go on and on and on. Except I'll say that the disproportion of power and responsibility and oppression is so markedly on one side that you take the worst thing you can say about Hamas, multiply it by a thousand times, and it still will not meet the Israeli repression and killing and dispossessed of Palestinians. If after 2000 years we can look for liberation and freedom, why can't the Palestinians?" -Dr. Gabor Maté, a holocaust survivor
The "apartheid" that doesn't exist? The one that has no laws against arabs? That arabs are 1/5 of Israel population and their numbers are actually growing? The same country with arab doctors, lawyers, parliament members and so on?
Don't EVER blend the border between content and advertisement in your field of education. Your advertisement needs to be CLEARLY separated from the content. You are not a "top 10 cats" channel.
Finally. I have been wondering when an analysis of this attack in the media would explain the SA/Israel/US accord that was so close to finalization. I would only add that such an accord would disrupt the work of Russia and China -including arms deliveries to SA - were engaged in to take US influence in the region away. Russia and China must be looking on closely. Also, the action of Hamas was to the ultimate detriment not only to Iran, but also to Palestinians in the W Bank and elsewhere. Thanks as usual to Caspian Report for about the most valuable and useful analysis on YT (or anywhere).
Long story short, because Israel has been doing the same thing for decades, so, without ever getting sanctionned. Justice didn't do its job, laws were applied to everyone but them, so a group got radicalized and wanted to make justice on its own.
I was impressed with your command of the English language from the moment I first stumbled upon your channel. Although the substance of your commentary is obviously the primary draw, I was struck while watching this video in particular by the syntactic elegance of your expression and crispness of your pronunciation. I don't know if this is attributable to a new writer or editor or to your own constant and continuous improvement, but it is no small feat. Both stylistically and substantively, you've become a real standout among RU-vid's geopolitical commentators. Kudos!
@@ualaw77 That is what I think because when he is Shirvan speaking he always says "I'm your host Shirvan" Also the voice is quite similar, but not exactly the same. It has slight differences.
@@ualaw77 Actually I just checked his previous video "Why Ukraine joining Nato would crush russian power" and he doesn't say that anymore. But if you compare and pay attention you can clearly notice the voice and pronunciation differences.
@@rodri1030 You've got a good ear! I noticed the difference, but I didn't realize it was a totally different person. Who the heck is THIS guy? 😆 Do you suppose it could be an AI imitation of Shirvan?
I appreciate getting decent unbiased, rational explanations of these important events. Much better than just watching current news shows that mainly report and describe them. Thank you!
I believe we should call for a referendum. The most rightful thing is a referendum made by true original land owners (Palestineans, including native Palestinean jews) and they decide the state they want. Simple. Very simple. It's not a thousands of years matter. Otherwise, the immigrants who stole the land should go back to where they came from.
While your analysis might be reasonable from a geopolitical point of view involving outside players, you really do not answer the headline of the video; why was Israel attacked by militant Palstinians (Hamas)? The attack has certainly affected geopolitical dilemmas, but the reason Hamas attacked Israel is due to the Palestinian struggle and opression. I wish that you spent more time on what has led to the attack.
While waiting for this video, today I saw your video from 12 years ago on Israel/Palestine. Really puts perspective on this everlasting issue. Thanks for amazing unbiased insight
The Gaza Strip is fast changing from being the biggest open-air prison in the world to becoming the biggest death camp in the world, courtesy of Israel's total and indiscriminate bombing. (And before there's any what-about-isms response let me state, I categorically condemn the Gaza massacre on Israeli civilians by HAMAS terrorist, not militants.)
@@wahyuindrasto nothing says indiscriminate bombing like using high precision missiles instead of artillery and mortars. You've been blinded by propaganda my friend
Iran is not an arab country. Not sure why you painted them green when you mention "arab world" Please educate yourself on the choice of words. none the less, great video.
