I am crazy cukoo over your art. It is messy, layered, convoluted (in the best way), free, gestural with such depth & intrigue. All qualities I strive for in mine. Your art reminds me of Nick Wilton's, there is a similar essence there that is so moving. Wish there were more videos of you painting. I would be glued to the screen to watch you in action. It is funny that your painting style is pretty wild, but your personality is so calm & centered.
I love watching your videos. I find them really relaxing and love watching you piant as well as looking at your art. It helps to spark my imagination and desire to sit and piant. I am not really happy with the majority of art that I have pianted as of yet, but try to sit and piant daily. I guess the art I envision creating and want to see hanging about my space is never as beautiful or visauly pleasing as I want it to be. Your videos encourage me to continue practicing and there is also a really nice ASMR quality about them as you piant, Please keep posting ! I look forward to watching your new video's and have watched all the one's you have previously shared.
Thank you for sharing your books ! I was wondering what to do tomorrow and you have inspired me to start painting in a book . I'll paint the cover tonight so it will be dry tomorrow. I do mainly abstract and collage ,and this will be a great way to practice without thinking I'm wasting good paper. 😊
The sketchbooks are great! Really enjoyed this tour. I have a real fondness for working in sketchbooks myself and can relate to so much of your process and choices. Cool stuff, fun, interesting. ❤
If you’re interested the Swedish director Lasse Hallstrom has made a movie about Hilma af Klint. It’s just called Hilma. I have just seen it. She must have been a very special and different person.
