Yep, and same story for most people who become self employed (and thus automatically CEOs in their own right). Most people go self employed to do what they enjoy doing -but being in a managing role (which self employment forces you into) often means you'll have to learn 10x more skillsets and actively deal with so much more stuff than just that one thing you really enjoy doing. CEOs in large companies get a ton of amazing benefits, and to the outside it may seem like they're just shoving on responsibility to people below them. But at the end of the day, being a CEO is fucking tough and 99% of people wouldn't be cut out for it even if they had decades of experience.

I live in Florida. Been hit by many bad hurricanes. The rebuild progress after a bad storm brings out the inner masculine nature in me. I see a clear objective and I take action heavily. From clearing trees to bringing resources to ones in need. Moral of the story, If a man can see his duty and objective in front of him, its in his nature to do good and provide. The problem is, with devastating storm damage, the man knows exactly what to do. However, when he's navigating the uncertain economy and crumbling society.... What does he do? Where is the obvious "Mission"? They say "Make money" My soul tells me money isn't the answer when were in a state of social decay. It's much deeper than money. It's a spiritual battle in my opinion.

Historically, guys have always been getting bad deals. Mainly being the ones who have to die in wars, but also a lot of backbreaking work. And the kicker is that SOOO many of the men that have gotten the shitty hands in life never get any recognition for their efforts. Soldiers die without any recognition because they're expected to die, guys doing dirty, dangerous jobs don't get any praises sung for them because they're expected to handle it, etc. Hell, even veteran soldiers who survive the wars rarely get the sort of help they absolutely need after such an ordeal. It's why pretty much every smart parent ever always taught their boys to never show their tears, because you're seen as less of a man if you display emotions despite the fact that men have a very deep well of emotions. And now we're at the point where the whole "diminishing men's efforts" thing has reached an all time high because now we have all these idiots on social media talking about how much men failed for whatever reason, when men built the very computers and internet they are using to post said things, the houses they live in and pay the taxes that fund all the things in modern society. And the dating market is borked because as one guy put it, "men today have to work 5 times as hard as their grandfathers for women who are 10 times worse then their grandmothers". And on the other end of that spectrum, you got women who bought into the whole "don't need no man" mentality, who are now reaching 35 or older and strongly regretting their life choices, and who also can't get a man because men around them have come to view them as trash that's not worth the effort. So men are being diminished and constantly being blamed for things that aren't their fault while women self sabotage and end up alone and miserable, everyone loses. Also btw, the real reason AI girlfriends are so much bigger than AI boyfriends is that they satisfy a need that men have to a higher degree than women, namely the desire to have someone to love. Of course everyone wants to be loved, but men's desire to GIVE love to a romantic partner is at least just as strong, if not stronger in many cases. It's why you see dudes have full on relationships with AI girlfriends they can't even physically touch, while the same thing is seen to a much lesser degree among women.

When slavery was abolished, black people were given freedoms, but they were left behind everyone else, they weren't all given great education, jobs and houses all of a sudden. And everyone who wasn't descended from slaves, their family had all that time to establish themselves. That is the real reason black people want american white people to be "accountable" to some extent. There's also a reason colonialism is brought up a lot, we came and reaped benefits and resources from those countries, and left them to pick up the pieces. You have to put yourself in their shoes.

I was r*ped as a young boy by another older boy. Second-ish time saying that or typing it. My mom and sisters who raised me would wonder why I was acting out and getting mad all the time... "Its a boy thing" "just a phase" "he's going through puberty" and being the only boy in the home, I was alone a lot, trying to control my anger with no help for years. The fact that "controlling my anger" was a thing instead of "seeking help" in itself is a classic "being a man" trope but I had to gaslight myself. My sisters would even "train me to be a gentleman" guess how far manners got me with the women of today? First time I said that to a girl I was dating, I was 25 she was 27. "Grow a spine." and "now you know how it feels to be a girl." I was just born into this world, me being white and a straight man has nothing to do with peoples actions who lived and died before you and me. failure to understand that basic logic, and instead go with gut feelings and... oh idk... say something like "you are colonizing rap." as if you lived 300 plus years... its subhuman behavior. I've been told before I have "judging gazes"... yeah I'm waiting to see if you're the next person to piss me off or hurt me. I have to be like that now, since I have NO ONE to talk to about this stuff accept someone I PAY to have them listen to my problems in the first place. I don't even mention to anyone, not even my family I go to therapy because of my f*cked up childhood. Sorry if I made some of you sad, defiantly not looking for sympathy, I hate seeing that shite. One big difference between men and women is that showing compassion towards men is rejected as contemptible, because we can't tell the difference between pity and compassion anymore. Women thrive on pity, but men aren't forgiven if they evoke pity in others. For men, pity is refined form of contempt; you can crush a man's soul with it if he's not given chance to earn your respect. That is the difference. We are deprived of masculine role models who evoke feelings of compassion; if we had them, we'd know respect and compassion are inseparable.
@rtyzxc

@@rtyzxc Compassion means empathy from position of equality, or partnership. Pity means empathy from position of (implied) superiority, or charity. The former assumes responsibility from the one who receives compassion. The latter assumes subservience and dependency in exchange for pity. No. There has always been a "battle of the sexes". Women didn't have an equal standing position until very recently ( to be more precise, women were not considered people until as late as the 1920s, yeah...) and this made any abusive tendencies of men towards women to be normalized, thus giving the men of the past "an advantage". But now such behaviour is seen for what it truly is and this recognition created movements against sexism, the feminist movement being the most known, but in the midst of this conflict misandristic people also emerged claiming a false feminist position. Today's men's problems are coming from the standards set by old stereotypes as well as the unreasonable expectations coming from these said false feminists of today. But regardless, both men and women have always faced the same problems: unrealistic standards. People need to realise this and stop taking sides, this is what the feminist movement is all about. Which can only be explained by fatherless upbringing, what kind of woman ends up with fatherless children? Masculine qualities are why male dominated work places tend to be more functional and healthy than female dominated ones. The ability to co-operate, take responsibility and pride in what they do and the will to provide for loved ones. @BeanCasserole-wg7wu
@BeanCasserole-wg7wu 27 дней назад
I agree that throughout life we should always be trying to change ourselves for the better and aim to be a better person each day, and learn to adapt to our surroundings. 11:17 I also agree with Asmon that a person shouldn't put the responsibility of changing the world on their shoulders, however I disagree with the notion that trying to change the world for the better is unhealthy. There is nothing wrong with trying to make a positive impact on the world, and in fact one could argue that's what we should always be striving for, whether it be on a large scale or small scale, like just being nice to the people you encounter in daily life. It's not unhealthy as long as you don't beat yourself up and be disappointed if you are unable to change the world, as long as a person tried, then they can feel good knowing they gave it a shot. I'm not saying everyone should be trying to change the world, I just don't think we should discourage people who want to try and make a difference in the world. Martin Luther King wanted to change the world, what if someone had told him that was unhealthy and told him just to "change himself." What if someone had discouraged him(I'm sure plenty of people did.) Sometimes people who want to make the world better end up succeeding, so why discourage it.
@caddph
@caddph 27 дней назад
@BeanCasserole-wg7wu I guess more to the point, people tend to judge others and critique their lifestyle, instead of focusing on what they can control and change (i.e., themselves). This isn't a standalone idea either; there's biblical references to "take the plank out of your own eye before taking the spec out of your brother's eye". I prefer Tolstoy's quote because it's clear and seemingly always relevant. In the same vein of "what do we owe to each other", I highly recommend reading "How to be Perfect" (title is sarcastic of course). It's surprisingly insightful on the topic of what we owe to each other (written by the creator to The Good Place).

Asmon always has 9 good takes and 1 really REALLY bad take. lol. It balances out in the end tho. But telling people "YOU aren't gonna change the world, give it up. Stop it." Is so sad, not because its true, but because that's how Asmon really feels about society. HE thinks leaders and world changers are just born like that, or are special. "If you were like Ghandi you wouldn't be watching motivational videos on RU-vid." Maybe they would? People become great over the course of their lives making mistakes along the way. "Just focus on you, and you'll be happy." That's not true for alot of people man. Some people want to change the world and can't be happy if they aren't working towards that goal. Telling your audience to never try and change the world because that's a toxic mindset, because it's futile. And to "Only worry about your own well being." Is sad. I like Asmon's hard truth takes, but sometimes his pessimism and black pilled world view makes him push terrible messages to other people as if they a hard truths. But are not. If the world feels unfair to you, and craps all over you, so you decide to spend your life trying to change the world to a different state, because that makes you feel happy or fufilled, do it. The world is better with people like you in it.

"YOU aren't gonna change the world, give it up. "Just focus on you, and you'll be happy." That's not true for alot of people man. false. if you focus on yourself and are successful with your own life, you will attract other people who are also that way, and thus you will develop a social circle thats worth something. as compared to be someone who doesnt focus on himself, thus doesnt develop properly and attract opnly other people who are miserable. only worrying about your well being isnt sad, its mandatory. if you dont care about yourself, why would anyone else? all that mindset isnt toxic, sa, pessimistic or even blackpilled, that you view it that way says alot about your unrealistic idealism. it will not work.

I have a plausible theory about the whole "women don't want to be CEOs/leaders etc."...has no one considered the fact that women being in leadership positions or for example rich in western society has absolutely 0 reflection on their dating prospects because men simply don't care about that sort of thing? A lot of hyper successful men have big aims because they understand financial success and career prestige are huge in the dating market especially as you grow older and stuff like looks and being cool in school go out of style... In fact, I'll do you one better, for women being a CEO actually has NEGATIVE impact on their dating life because who wants to be with someone who is busy 24/7 and often not home for days

Genuine question, what is wrong with persons being free and choosing to opt out of life for you? If persons think life is not worth living, specifically their life because it is mainly suffering and won't be changing any time soon through no fault of their own, why is it your or anyone else's business if they choose to opt out? It is one thing if it is from mental health issues that cloud your mind to reality but it is another when the person is making a logical conclusion after weighting pros and cons.

@@adalheidisofadamahcaptaino18 Life is a finite resource, and all finite resources are valued to some degree because of their scarcity alone. That value is then multiplied by the usefulness of that resource. By its very nature, life is extremely valuable. To the individual (we'll get to the societal value later) it is valuable because you've already come into the world, and to exist only to suffer is tragic. Why make absolute certain that your life is tragic when there is always a considerable chance that you can turn your life into something better? You are already here, what is there to lose when you always have that final option anyway? And you might say "what about those who have already tried everything they possibly could?" and to that I say, okay.. I don't entirely disagree. But let's be real here, most people don't get to that point. Most people would have lost their life doing something reckless long before running out of reckless choices. And if you do manage to make something of your life, the reward is unimaginable. And this isn't even to touch on the value life has to society. Human beings are social creatures and we need each other to survive and thrive. We depend on each other in many ways, and everyone we lose in our communities and families has a tremendous impact. Plus who knows what you will come up with or contribute towards in regards to technology, and with every invention or innovation there is no telling what advancements will build off of it. And so on and so forth; Every bit of wasted potential could set us back as a species by decades, centuries, or even millennia. And again, sure, there might be the very few people who don't have that potential and eventually come to know it for a fact, but I don't see much of anyone managing to get to that point without checking out unintentionally in the process. Now if that was all there was to it, then there would be an argument for a select few cases where opting out is a truly logical choice. But that _isn't_ all there is to it. This choice has a psychological impact on those who know the person, an impact that can be so strong as to completely change a person's life through the trauma. People intuitively _know_ what I've said above about the value of life. Most people anyway. Because of this when someone loses their life at an early age we feel the impact of the loss that much harder, especially if the loss could be avoided. And by the very nature of the act, it is an avoidable end. This is why death is treated differently between when it is expected (old age) compared to when it isn't expected because of illness or an accident. And it doesn't matter who you are, there is someone out there that would mourn the loss of your life. I don't believe there are any exceptions, even if it ends up being some stranger who hears about it on the news.

The sad thing is that men and woman have had to cooperate on some level since the beginning of time or else we would not have made it. We both have had natural roles through out history, it is the design of reality. However modern society has fooled everyone into hating each other and denying our true purpose which is to work together and find common ground so we can keep moving forward. People latch on to obvious negative historical events and privileges rather than thinking of the common folk who kept moving forward, no matter what. "Ideals are peaceful but history is violent."

Which is basically dealing with aggresivity, by using aggressivity, my dude. The sentence of asmon is wrong, not because "Tate is good", tate is obviously a caricature, and a garbage human being on every level, but he does represent part of what a lot of younger dudes aspire to be It's the picture of a guy thriving, obtaining what he wants, controling his surrounding (and especilly women, who are basically just some objects). ANd i get the appeal, it makes sense, it's just an extreme version that goes completely against the general "Men are trash" feminazis opinions that you can easily hear around social medias, and that echoes non-stop in some guy's mind. Sure, everyone'd like to be Aragorn. But nowadays, you could see our Aragorn would be used like a tool, and still considered a garbage anti-women depitcture, because "male, king, fantasy not empowering women" . Most people are just stupid, men and women. If people heard LESS of that stupid crap, they'd be healthier mentally, but the most stupid are the loudest, because they have nothing else than social media

That is something many groups are ignoring. However, getting enthralled by certain "influencers" is certainly not the way to go, especially that lame, bald British guy. The thing is, if people want young men to stop following those kind of influencers, then they should approach the subject of "masculinity" from a different angle or stop forcing the blame on said young men from the get go. Part of that blame falls on us older generation of men that didn't step in and call BS on what we were seeing. We failed to become the people that we needed when we were younger and instead of lending a hand in showing you how to pull yourselves up, we let jackass fuckbois pretend to know what they were talking about. I'm not going to lie, some of that falls under a "I put in my time raising mine, I'm tired and done.' mindset, because we survived and didn't blow our brains out, but we should never stop looking after each other. Though it'd be called alt-right and 'sexist', there really does need to be a collective mentorship of older guys just showing the younger generation how to get shit done, not in that dumb fucking way they're pushing now. What's sad as older guys, we really do have a wealth of experience, knowledge, and an innate desire to pass it down. I think there's just that generational disconnect and the situation is just waiting for someone to break the ice.
