Devon Larratt consistently maintains a height advantage over his opponents in arm wrestling matches.
His stature gives him a physical edge, allowing him to leverage his body position and apply more force during competitions.
This advantage has contributed to his success in the sport, as he is able to use his height to control the positioning and leverage of his opponents, ultimately leading to victories in many of his matches.

I think people really undersell how strong you have to be for a kings move to work. A different move that works when you have a stronger wrist and hand and a weaker arm is a posting wedge. Especially for newer guys, doing more what ongarbaev does with a defensive posting toproll where he comits his shoulder will be more effective and easier to execute, although it's still a higher level move and has counters. John brzenk employs something similar in a lot of his matches. It's another move that favors having a longer arm, but doesn't necessarily require it, like a kings move, but the barrier to entry is lower. It's just less talked about because Devon larrat is way more famous than kidyrgali ongarbaev

If you're confused at the position I'm talking about watch ongarbaev vs todd Hutchings. He loses that match, but it's clear how much stronger todd is in every vector except wrist flexion than ongarbaev and yet its a total war.

So what is the exactly solution for the people like me with longer foreamrs? Because the ref everytime down my riser and put my elbow back for match webbing, so i ended literaly in a lowhand toproll position beign vulnerable to a posting toproll. I understand that my option is to have a better cup-finger containment? I'm not a super mega setup master manipulation like Devon so i can't setup my riser even with my longer foream...without the ref calling foul.

Greater leverage as far as what? Height? Vitaly end's up in a low hand position even when tries to post vs even shorter people.. Wtf is his tall forearm gonna do to Devon when his posting toproll sucks? Devon will have both his pronator and riser which means 6-0 Devon. If Devon is anything like his SHW form Vitaly will get exactly 0 pins. Just some surges that are very close but very far at the same time

@flake1139

then u gotta be lower but since ur lever is shorter u can have ur elbow up front and forearm almost vertical (depending on how big the difference is) giving you more backpresure

Devon is and allways has been a cheater. Its because he was almost allways against stronger guy, and technique wasnt enough to level that, so he had to cheat. Like literally allways, from when I can remember him pulling he allways tried to cheat.

@@HafizShivji786 if you need to win the match in the setup you're basically admitting that your opponent is stronger, and you need to *_compensate_* if you don't wanna lose. It happened with Ermes, Lupkes, Chaffe and many others back in the history. There are some that complain about it, like Ermes and Richard, and some that don't, like Chaffe, Prudnik, etc. Is it armwrestling tho? Unluckely, yes. Does it look fair? Not to me, but to you? For sure. You're a Larrat fangirl, i already knew that by months... Everything that Devon does is fair and square for you, no matter what, as long as Devon is happy and wins (unfairly).
@eddie0Fll
@eddie0Fll Месяц назад
@@HafizShivji786 oh, i also wanna specify one thing. Did Ermes beat Jerry in the setup? Yes. Ermes denied Jerry to use the flop wrist press by grabbing him low. Was because Ermes was weaker than Jerry? Not exactly. It was because everyone, and i say, everyone would be in trouble inside that flop wrist press. It's the technique that has to be denied. Devon doesn't denies the use of a technique in the setup. Devon denies the hand control of his opponent. Call it fair.

@eddie0Fll Месяц назад
@@BRM1993 it's like admitting that your opponent is stronger and you have to compensate, if you don't wanna lose. That's all. Basically what happened in Ermes vs Devon... Ermes asking for a fair setup, and Devon denying that.🤷‍♂️
