People act like because someone loses to Devon it means they suck. Denis is still one of the best in the world. Devon played with Dave Chaffee, and ran right through Ermes Wrist like it was nothing. Ermes gave Levan a really hard time in the later rounds. Based on this matches like Denis vs Ermes or Dave or Genadi, all athletes in the top 5-10 in the open weight division right now, are people Denis could beat right now in his current shape.

27:38 Denis said. Well, I don’t intend to stop, I will continue to train. Still, we need to try to reach the peak. About Larratt. I have already mentioned that he is a strong opponent. Perhaps I wasn't prepared for this sort of Larratt because when I was going to come back a year ago, it was slightly different. You instantly visualized his physique because of his consistent series of victories against tough pullers, which had a psychological impact on me. You are aware that he took the lead here. And I'm like, catching up... Of course, that was tough.

I agree completely, the best possible scenario would be for Devon and Dennis both to continue in this sport they love , Dennis patiently but consistently getting stronger and stronger in pursuit of the form that made him so dominant yrs ago , and Devon maintaining and honing the conditioning regimen that has made him the preeminant super heavy weight armwrestler that he is at nearly 50 yrs old !! He is so so important to the sport of Armwrestling you can't say to much or to often what a healthy Devon Larrat does to advance and promote the sport of Armwrestling. Devon is huge. People can’t say he is a thin guy anymore. He’s been huge for a while and he makes most people at the table look small. Congrats to Devon for the win, and congrats to Denis for being such a classy guy. He didn’t get sucked into the mire of of trash and owned the loss.

Devon’s so obviously likes Denis but he can’t resist the trash talk to raise the hype for the match. It works, although sadly some fans fall into the trap of believing it’s true and start hating this or that athlete. Both a lot of fun to watch regardless of result.

One way to think about it is Devon was obsessed with destroying Dennis that he dared to say it in public to obligate himself to show complete commitment. He couldn't forget the 2018 left arm disaster. Devon showed an unmatched amount of effort that, for the first time in his history, he didn't show his training. He studied every match of Dennis, trained so hard. On the other hand, Dennis was relying on his close circle for his training, and focused on certain positions that are Dadikyan specific. He ignored all the warnings that said he would face troubles with Devon's style, and the fact that he is just back after a serious injury and underestimated Devon. So it's a complete dedication from a fully engaged Devon VS a miscalculation from a post-injury Dennis. However, Dennis, after such a devastating disaster, will wake up to reality and make better adjustments in the right direction. In one year, he will be competing for the spot number 1 again. So ironically, this defeat is the best thing Dennis can actually wish!

No one who is serious about arm wrestling thinks the 2018 match meant anything. Devon was injured and the left is his weak arm. Denis was top shape and the left was his strong arm.
