The thing about Sarah is that she is aways smiling and laughing so relaxed and so happy, and Solo is so supportive which is a huge thing with so many children they compliment each other so well.... keep up the good work love watching your family.
Seriously.....your adults. You do whatever you want and don’t feel like you owe anyone any explanation on anything you do! Your gracious enough to share your life! I appreciate that very much.
People don’t realize the salt in marinating foods is preserving and tenderizing the food. Aged beef is beef in a cooler for 10 days or more. People just don’t know and they are afraid.
@@melindasmith3713 I take a brisket and put it in a crock of salt and leave it on my pantry shelf for a week. It corn beef. No refrigerator. It’s an old proven method
Same here and it does not ruin ovens. And I'm 68. I personally think the silicone sheets would give toxic fumes that might seep into your food. Just my opinion.
My assumption is that it’s very difficult to live a “fish bowl” life where total strangers feel they have the right to criticize regardless of how well intentioned. My Gran always said “if it’s not true, necessary and kind”, DON’T say it! While I don’t have the intestinal fortitude to do what you do, I really enjoy your channel and appreciate you allowing us into your life.
Assumption: that you two were blessed with way more patience than some of us. Just the thought of 10 kids stresses me out. That's probably one reason I watch you guys. To see how you manage to stay sane and enjoy having such a big family. It's such a different lifestyle than mine.
I have done the aluminum foil for years Sarah, just change it often. I change mine every two weeks weather it needs it or not. You will never be able to make everyone happy and some will criticize, but making yourselves happy and sharing your light is what matters👍🏼♥️
I never had any assumptions about you or your channel, I was drawn in by Sarah's friendliness and I was intrigued by how you could manage such a large family. You inspire me to achieve more in my life. Just to let you know how far your channel have reached I'm from Sudan and I live in UAE, you touch people's lives all over the world. Thank you for everything you are doing.
My assumption of you guys is that how you are on camera is REALLY how you are off camera. That’s a compliment, by the way! Also, Solo I agree with you to wait and buy your RV maybe next year. I’m a woman who likes to get a good deal too. No paying full price for something like that! 😆 We are a family of 11 and have also looked into buying an RV so your research has been helpful.
Loved just listening to you two chat today! ❤️ An RV would be awesome! With a family your size, it would make travel so much easier. I’ve enjoyed following along on your RV search, and I hope you can find the perfect one soon!
Hi my favorites!!! The one thing I know about RVs is if you buy a used one.. make sure the owner winterized it!!! My poor sister bought one and they were 500 miles from home when ALL of the plumbing exploded. Thank the Lord they found a supply shop close by and my brother in law knew how to fix it!!!
Love this setting. Where are you sitting!? Love this “adhoc” convo. You are such a beautiful couple & have a gorgeous family. Blessing from Australia 🇦🇺
You can always put a cookie sheet to leave on the bottom of your oven. Use an aluminum one. My Grandma Josephine did this most of her life. It never wrecked the oven. She also cooked for threshing crews and even had her own restaurant for years. So this is my suggestion. It makes cleaning the oven much easier.
My assumption of you and your lovely family is that you are grounded in your faith, love each other and you are so organized! You are my "friends"! I tell my Bible study ladies that I have "friends" on you tube from Nebraska!! Lol! Love watching you and look forward to seeing you everyday!
My assumption of you both is that you are a family that loves the Lord with with all of your hearts. I think you love your family and friends. I think you are both trying to be the best parents / humans that you can possibly be. Neither one of you profess to be perfect, nor do you try and portray that. It’s what I love about watching your channel. I have been encouraged by you both. As a mom of 13 children it’s always fun to watch how other people do it. Keep doing what you are doing as you have blessed me and I’m sure many others as well❤️
We went rving last week, hotspringing in southern Idaho, and we saw a large family from Utah with a very unusual setup. They had a large truck with a truckbed camper on top of it with kids riding in it during the road trip and attached to the truck they had a long travel trailer. I think that is pretty genius. That would work really well for your family, imo. The best deals can be had by finding people who are selling theirs back to the dealerships, because if you offer them a little more than the low price the dealer does, you both win.
My family had a true move of God Saturday. My 10 year old daughter had a stroke and had to be helicoptered to a city about an hour away. Her whole left side was gone. I saw the MRI she had a clot an inch long and over a half an inch wide in her upper right brain. The doctors can not explain it but God healed her completely. They went from ICU, to saying she would need injections for 3 months , too releasing us yesterday afternoon on only baby aspirins. The doctors had the Mri they know the stroke was real but they can not explain why she has full recovery. Nothing missing , nothing broken, I told every doctor and anyone who would listen that the Most High healed my daughter. Jesus died for all, what He did for my daughter He will do for you, believe, speak the Word only, and come against any thought from the enemy in Yeashua Hamashiach/Jesus name. Amen Praise God!
one suggestion re RV is to have the older kids(2-3 boys) drive and sleep in an additional minivan. Gives a bit of flexibility to run for groceries etc and lessens the need for everyone to fit comfortably in RV. I sleep very comfortably in mine and have camped with a friend as well.
I assume - announcing next baby - that Mom is the boss and always right - that Mom can really loose/freak out off camera - Dad is strict - but all in all a nice family. The second youngest son is my favourite.
My assumption is that Sarah tends to be positive and happy most all of the time with a lot of energy and spontaneity. Solo is more down to earth, does not have as much emotional energy, and tends to think on things a lot longer before making a decision.
We are on our 3rd trailer. We did sell higher than we bought with our first 2. You have to buy right. We bought high quality, immaculate used, and kept them that way. We also bought late fall and sold in spring. We owned each for 4 years. The third we will have for a long time, so I am sure we wont make, but we have hit the plateau, and really as long as we keep it dry and clean its value is stable. -Danya
I assume your family is similar on camera as it is off, you are a down to earth family and you have a calm demeanor even when disciplining your children.
you can actually write off your RV as a second household on your taxes. Also- if you are spending loads of money on hotels, etc... when traveling THEN an RV is a good investment. If you have your own land to place it on that helps a lot because you don't have to pay to store it. Buying used is also a good idea as long as there are no costly repairs. You can also rent out your RV when you are not using it. There are websites that help you with that. In my state- the "first come, first serve" sites are not normally hook- up sites. The state park hook up sites are usually booked up months in advance.
Hey beautiful family. This time of year you can find the oven liners at Aldi in the aisle of shame. I buy a couple every year and just pitch them when they get too gross. Have a great week!
Thank you for letting us into your life. I am very thankful for that. My assumptions about Solo are that he is really funny, a titch (a lot) sarcastic and a very loving husband/father. My assumptions about you (Sarah) are that you are extremely sacrificial, patient beyond patient and a breath of fresh air in this world to all that actually get to know you :)
What an awesome family y'all have. I assume that y'alls children will grow up to be responsible and caring young adults. They will take what you and Solo have instilled in them and pass it along to their children.
Rv yes we owned class A 20 years. The best for spontaneous traveling, keep packed. Dog can go too. Beach house, lake house, mountain chalet, etc ON WHEELS. Love ur channel.
Haha an RV is definitely not an investment 😂 I agree with solo. With that being said we LOVE ours and love traveling. We haven’t had any trouble getting spots but we don’t generally go over holiday weekends! Hope you guys find the perfect one!
I've noticed that with everything virtual. A lot more people are feeling it necessary to share their opinion. Which makes me happy that I take what I want and leave the rest. Being a parent has allowed me to have selectivity selective hearing. Now reading, I get to do the same.
I am blessed by your channel, it gives me joy in seeing another large family operate. I didn’t have this kind of encouragement when I was busy with our 8 kids. Be blessed! Thank you for sharing your faith & family with us!!! 🤟🤗💕
Something my mom used to say when I was a teenager and “knew more than her” : “wow! How did I ever survive all this time?!” 😆 Same with your subscribers haha you guys have good heads on your shoulders haha I have no doubts you’ll figure it out, and figure it out well. Families of your size don’t run by accident haha ❤️
Have done that for years and the aluminum foil reflects all the heat back up and it causes things to maybe cook a little faster. Never has my oven got messed up and I have been cooking for 43+ years.
Solo is like I am about a "good deal"! Example: A tire blew out on my car and I wrecked. Total loss! That was in the first week of April! Because of having to stay in because of the Pandemic, I waited and waited before buying another car because I was looking for a specific type car and a one owner. Took me till September 8th when i found my Toyota Camry one owner. I just hitched a ride to the grocery store every 2 weeks and made do. God was with me too! Bought that one owner from a guy who was a car mechanic with his own business. Im beyond thrilled!😊
Love how you let us into your thought processes. I also meal prep and have since the 1980’s. Helps with food budget, more time with family, healthier eating. Thank you for sharing.
I watch all types of RU-vid videos, you guys hands down are the most entertaining, natural and loving family with beautiful kids on here. Nothing is staged, you get what you see.
Sarah you have really grown . I remember in the past you wouldn't have considered doing anything like that. Now you are all for it... Good for you Sarah !
I think that it is really nice how you explain things. You don't have to, but yet you all provide clarity. I love how you learn and engage with your viewers, too. My assumption would be that y'all really like to be funny and sarcastic, but tone it down for the camera! Is that true?!😂😂😂
I assume you both have a great deal of patience, not only because you have a large family of little ones, but you have people commenting on your videos with advice and criticism. Love your positivity and you have a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing your life with the world 🥰
Assumptions: 1) You both come from very TALL families. Most of your kids will be over 6’ tall or at least 5’10”. As a vertical challenged person, I’m very jealous. I wish when I buy jeans in the short inseam I still didn’t have to roll them up. 2) Your kids are close and love each other. They mostly get along with no sibling rivalry because they know you love them all equally.
They make aluminum oven bottom pans, they sit right under the heating element...I use them faithfully, they are a Godsend. You can get them where you get your to-go or disposable pans at walmart.
Re RV discussion: I liked the 5th wheel idea you explored, because the engine that pulls everything (vehicle) was separated from the trailer. With an RV you’re buying both rolled into one. With them separated, you would be free to change out the tow vehicle (or trailer) at your discretion, and maybe more easily than selling a pricier RV? I don’t worry about what ultimate decision you make, because Solo noted important facts like it’s a depreciating asset and that he loves a good deal!
RVs are awesome. I love them mainly bc I cannot stay in hotels. I cannot get past sleeping where hundreds of others have done who knows what. BUT things break daily on RVs. If you are prepared both financially and mentally for that, it will end up being some of the best family memories you will have.
I had a double oven that was similar to your oven and I put foil at the bottom for years. No issues. Then I got a new double oven with no heating element to lift or clean underneath. It says on the oven bottom to not line it with foil because the element is hidden beneath the bottom of the oven. So because of it’s design, I didn’t think it was a problem for you to foil line the bottom of your oven because it is below the heating element. 😊 I understand how hard and undesirable it is to clean those ovens. While I miss my last oven, the one I have now is LOADS easier and actually a pleasure to clean! I think the only assumption I have about you both is that you have always and are still able to make each other crack up laughing to tears. 😂 I imagine you sitting at dinner, looking at one another, having some shared unspoken memory, then belly laughing while the kids look at each other like “What are they laughing about NOW?” 😂 Was that oddly specific? 😜
I just came across your channel...saw the food storage video...then this one. I have just started bringing a few extra things home...a long way to go and I probably started too late. But I just wanted to tell you that you have a beautiful family and you guys are so cute together. Our kids are grown and our best memories we have and they have as well are camping. We did not have a camper we have a tent. At this point in our lives there is no way I could crawl in a tent anymore but miss the camping experience... life passes us by way too fast.
I know some have great reviews for rvs, however, mine is not a positive one. We’ve owned two, one used, one brand new. Both were in the 34 ft. range. Both were nightmares. We lost a compressor in the middle of Kansas and waited 5 hours for a tow truck. That’s just one of our mishaps, and there was always something needing repair. Those repairs aren’t cheap. One sort of funny incident, our bedroom slide wouldn’t go in. We had to drive I-95 almost 40 miles to a repair place with the slide out! We had great family times, just didn’t want to crank up, never knowing what was going to happen!
I assume you know what is best for your family and I am going to assume since you are willing to share your families lives with us, we such all just enjoy the videos and not put our own opinions about what is best for your family to our selves 😉... we appreciate you sharing your family with us. You love and invest everything in to them and know or should I say assume you have their best interest at heart. I love how real you are and it is refreshing to see a family who keeps it real...looking forward to all of your videos...have a very Blessed week.
My husband and I bought and renovated an RV a couple years ago when we had a 3 and 1 year old. We lived in Denver at the time and had a hard time finding places(land and RV sites there) that we’re affordable and available mainly because it’s so populated and expensive there. We traveled while seeing family and took more trips “just because” than we normally would have. We decided to rent out our condo and live in it for a couple months. Then the heating unit wasn’t working and was expensive to fix, we found out I was pregnant and then that my husband got the position he put in for in Australia that we’d be in for 3 years. So we decided to rent until we moved so I could have a home birth and it’s taken about a year to sell. We lost money on it truthfully but we would do it again because if the memories we have with it. I will never regret it because we had so many fun trips and experiences with it that have inspired us to be more adventurous in the future and live in unique spaces. You will not regret it!
I love you guys, as parents, role models, teachers to your children do a great job. Let's face it we're all human and it's not possible not to make mistakes. I love how you let us into your family's life and share your experiences with us.
My husband/in-laws love the idea of having toys - they currently have an RV that’s sitting in storage 😆 but would love a boat. I’m a “rent one enough to see that you’d USE your own purchased one” haha they’re definitely money-sinks unless you really use them. Then I’m with ya! The experience and fun is worth it!
RV, tent, camping....the content of most of my childhood memories! An investment in memories and emotions...always worth it, however and whenever you do it!
Assumption. You both are so happy, energised, composed and motivated for daily life with all your children. I’ve got 2 children still that are still young and sometimes Im just annouyed, need space and time for doing nothing. Teach me your ways 😃
Its lovely to se you guys together and talking. Solo is a lovely man sarah you are lucky to have each other xxx your kids are really polite and helpful xx God bless
i admit, i ruined my brand spankin' new oven by putting foil on the bottom. It did not have exposed elements (they were built into the bottom of the oven). The oven i had before, was like yours, where the heating elements are exposed and i could slide the foil under the element. In the older oven the foil worked great, i used heavy duty and replaced it every couple months. In the one that i "ruined" the foil was direcly on the bottom of the oven and it gets much hotter and basically melted the foil to the oven. I scraped most of it off, but it was scared to scratch the oven.... it still worked fine, it just wasn't as pretty. Bummer for my brand new oven.
Just why would at 73 year young woman, living in a retirement community with minimum 'possessions', who only ever had one child and was never ever as well organised as you and Solo, would want to watch your channel. It is because it is such a pleasure to watch your usually happy face, your obvious enjoyment of meeting the challenges a big family brings, and the contended children you have. It is all a pleasure to see. This is all so far away from my life experiences. Congratulations on all that you and Solo do. Kindest regards from Melbourne Australia -where we are still in level 4 lock down. Yesterday we were given right to move 25 km away from home compared to 5 km just the day before. We still can only have one 'bubble buddy' that is one person is allowed to visit you (the same person). No shops open except some food shops, masks on outside front door,. We are all at breaking point but small changes are helping. It is working and our State is down to 3-4 infections and a couple of deaths each day.
Renting an rv might be a good way to go about it at first to see if you really love that lifestyle. I think we will see a lot of used ones on the market next year.
My assumption is you guys are real loving parents, that are doing what your parent’s taught be nice don’t judge don’t take life for granted teach your children values that they will need in their journey. Love your family
Yay Monday video! Now I'm really looking forward to Mondays I really like your sit down and chat videos! Keep them coming please💞😊 I love the waivy hair it suits you a lot
My assumption is you guys are a great family. Great team work and support both emotionally and spiritual and you both have same personality or close to it. Solo helps or when you asks (chores). Which makes me jealous bc my husband takes for ever. In Spanish there a saying "when February when 30" which mean basically never.
We live full time in our 30 Class A motorhome, it does a 2 full wall slides which means it feels like a small apartment. It is only 2 of with 3 dogs. It is our home so for that it is an investment for us. Check out the Kelloggs, at one time they lived in a big class A, I think they have 12 kids.
Go to Amazon to find an oven mat I saw some really great ones. I never got a chance to buy one before my ancient stove, it was over 50 years old, caught fire but it was on the range part and had nothing to do with anything but the wiring. My new one has an air fryer in it and no bottom element. You are also able to use the bottom to add water when cooking certain things that need moisture and steam to clean the oven. It still has a lot of bells and whistles I need to learn so I haven't shopped for a mat for it. I think we should listen to others but do our research as well that way we will all be doing what we think is best for our family. I don't think you guys prep too early. I take out all of the meat that I can on Sunday to thaw in the coldest part of my refrigerator. I want an RV or travel trailer. I don't care that it isn't in investment because I see it as an investment in my happiness. If we are careful with our money in every place in life I believe we can "waste" some. You guys are awesome, don't let negativity get to you. Keep those beautiful smiles on your beautiful faces.
I love your channel...my son and daughter-in-law have adopted 17....9 are still at home....plus they have 2 in college. They also have a RV.....so you really need to find the right one to work for you...so take your time. You two complete each other....I love it when he is cooking....he just pours until it is enough.....lol
So, here is my input on a RV! We had 4 kids when we purchased ours. We used it probably 1-2X a year and then it just sat there. Then all the kids aged out of wanting to spend time with us. So, ours is way to big for just the hubby and I so we are using it as guest quarters. One thing I will say, please check out a Toy hauler, they have the beds that raise up to the ceiling and give you room for the kids to play with a door for your sanity 😉
Assumption. Solo snuck out for lunch at work during vegan week. I know I would have. Also I enjoyed your RV video. My family Had an RV when I was growing up. Made special memories.
I see a lot of folks on RU-vid channels justifying why they do things a certain way. We all do things differently that work for our families, and it's OKAY for you to do things the way that work for you and it's really not okay for anyone to criticize that. I'm reminded of the Aesop's fable about the Father, Son and the Donkey. Each town they came, someone would criticize them for how they were treating their donkey. They kept changing their arrangement based off of the criticism, and in the end, they lost out and were burdened because they kept trying to do what others said. The moral was "try to please all and you will please none." Just do what works best for you!! It's all good :)
Here in 🇨🇦 at our dollar stores we can buy large flat aluminum trays for the bottom of the oven. They work great for catching all the messy spills and are cheap & easy to replace when needed. I love you guys and assume you are always smiling and laughing in your household! Stay well!
One last thing lol my Husband and I camp we have a camper we love love love camping we take all 3 of our dogs we just camped 2 weeks ago I can tell you my assumption it's that y'all love Family love Children love God that's what I see when I watch!
I totally assume that the spirt of the Lord is upon you both and your family. I am so encouraged by your cheerful, optimistic approach to life. I am always happier after watching your post. Thank you both.
My husband and I would love to buy a fifth wheel, my husband is a contractor in the telecommunication business and gets sent out of town for work frequently. We've discussed having a travel trailor would make it possible for me and our pets to go with him some times. Like anything else you should get whatever fits your needs with your large family. I've only been watching your videos for a few months but I've binge watched a lot of them, it's impressive how much your children easily jump in to help on meal prep or taking care of the little ones that's the way it should be, or at least that's how it was when I was growing up and before. Now a days kids just aren't raised to do much! It's nice to see young people that were raised with respect and consideration. Whatever you 2 are doing you're doing a darn good job, especially with that many little ones! I truly must say I wouldn't be able to do it this day and age! You 2 are awesome and have a beautiful family!
Have you ever considered tent camping? We invested in a huge tent, table and chairs, kitchen kit, good sleeping bags and cots and spent loads of time travelling after lockdown let up here in the UK. I was very hesitant but after watching some RU-vid videos with families camping, I gave in and now I’m a big fan. Everything stays packed in tubs in the garage and when we want to go, we just pack the car and head out.🥰❤️
Assumptions You and Solo love each other alot and love your kids too. Your kids are loving and very respectful. You both seem to be kind. Stay real ♡♡♡
My husband and I owed a motor home for a long time. We loved the convenience of just going when we wanted and stopping when we wanted to, also I think with all your kids you will save $$ just by having your own space w/o having to pay for extra rooms. And the fact you can cook your meals etc, it’s actually like just being at home only on the road....... but when you get to the time to get rid of it, if you ever do, you will definitely take a bath on it - just like you said ! So enjoy the heck out of it while you can, if you find the deal you’re looking for I really believe you won’t be sorry ! We made some of the best memories of our life with that motor home and now that he’s gone I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything ! Good luck.
The rv should work well for you. Have had 4 rv s over 40 years. Two were trailers, class c and now Class b all used. Used them well, and resold three. We eat and sleep better, and see more places, including family.
I’ve just came across you guys 2 weeks ago maybe, I think your video auto played after one I was watching but I’m hooked I just love your channel & now my sister watches too, I’m in Scotland so I don’t watch so much for the great tips just because we don’t have the same grocery stores & in comparison we have a teeny tiny family but following along this short time has been an absolute blessing, plenty of giggle out loud moments! Thank God for YT auto play! Anyway I just wanted to express my gratitude for your videos, brought on plenty of smiles. Much love, well wishes, God bless you both & your beautiful family. 🙏🏻❤️🤍💙
I’d definitely recommend one of those silicone liners for your oven. I have one and they are much more environmentally and cost efficient as you just wash them when there’s a build up of oil. Rather than replacing the foil all the time 👍🏼
