The Clone Army was vital to Sidious's plan for galactic domination. So what made Jango Fett the perfect template for the Republic's Clone Troopers? The clones needed to be the best soldiers in the galaxy to not only support the Jedi in combat but to also serve their ultimate purpose, killing them. In the Legends version, Jango is part of the Mandalorians as a foundling and even has his own Mandalorian Clan. Mandalorians are already among the greatest non-Force-using warriors in the galaxy, and Clan Fett was renowned for its soldiers and leaders. This alone made Jango Fett ideal for the clone army but Count Dooku had one more reason for believing Jango to be the perfect template. In the Mandalorian Civil War, Jango’s warriors were nearly wiped out by a Jedi task force led by Count Dooku himself, who was, at the time, a Jedi. It was there that Dooku witnessed and took note of Jango killing numerous Jedi and to his amazement killing five with his bare hands.
Years later when Count Dooku needed to find someone to be the Clone template, he remembered the raw skill and deadliness of Jango. So he met the Bounty Hunter on the Moon of Bogden and offered him the opportunity to be cloned to which he agreed with a payment of 20 million credits.

gotta understand mace was arguably the best duelist in the jedi and jangos jetpack malfunctioned cause of the trampling he got earlier, if it hadn’t malfunctioned, jango woulda made the fight last longer

I get it, there was a battle going on so making time for honorable deaths is out of the question but he also waited till Jango was completely pre occupied fighting that beast before he ran up on him. Makes me feel like the guy who gets killed in multiplayer games when someone is cherry picking me out of a firefight Im already in lol

@@ryancitrin5219 mace was also experienced in the dark side so fighting dirty was not beneath him. that's why he was able to deflect sidius's lightning so easily, and why he was so sketched out by anakin, he felt some familiar vibes coming from the kid the others never did. things wouldve ended a lot differently if mace trusted his own instincts instead of the other masters on the council. that's why if ahsoka learned anything, it's trust your own instincts, which is why she repeats it so much in the live action spinoff shows.

I mean, Jango also became de-facto Mandalore, due to other mandalorians wanting him to be, alongside Decimating most of Death Watch. He was not at all a foundling. He was only considered a "Foundling" when he was a kid, which hitting adult age in Mandalorian doctrine is reaching the age of 13-14 and going on a deadly hunting trip with a guardian or parent.

Its all legends at this point. But i’m surprised you didn’t mention “Star Wars Bounty Hunter” video game. Where Count Dooku puts a bounty on Komari Vosa, leader of the Bando Gora and potential rival to the Sith. Sidious wanted her gone and wanted an update on the donor for the clones. In order to kill two birds with one stone. Dooku set up a contest with bounty hunters. Whoever could defeat a force user would be perfect to clone and take on the Jedi.

Jango wasn't just a Foundling... he was Born into Clan Fett on Concord Dawn, Mandalore's Moon. He was a Manadlorian-Born Foundling, whose parents were Murdered by the Death Watch for Protecting the True Mandalorians' Leadership.

If I remember correctly Dooku sent out a bounty on his former apprentice to Jango and his old partner. Whoever killed her and presented her lightsabers as proof of death would get the offer of a life time. Jango not only killed the old apprentice but he got to kill his old partner and stole the Slave I.

You are missing a large part of this story. The moons of bogdan are where count Dooku’s rogue apprentice Komari Vosa was hiding. She was in charge of a death stick dealing with empire named the bando gora. Jango killed her either ease even though she was trained by count Dooku himself and equipped with 2 crimson lightsabers.

The reward was originally 5 million credits. Jango wanted to collect the reward right away but then dooku made his offer. So jango bumped up he deal to 20 million as well as the first clone unaltered. Dooku asked “might I inquire as to why?” Jango showing he had nothing to hide by asking for the clone told dooku he could ask at any point. But he didn’t. Source: I’ve 100% Star Wars bounty hunter.

Jango just really got unlucky when he died. Bro was trying to fly away but his jetpack was broken, he was missing a gun and he was dazed from being hit by a stampede. There was nothing he could do.

His jetpack was malfunctioned he tried to use it to put some distance between himself and Mace but couldn’t which ultimately led to his death. Then again, Jango was killed by one of the most powerful force users to ever live .

You're mixing legends with canon. The first part did happen however, there were no such things as foundlings, Jango quite literally was born a Mandalorian, on concord dawn (it's moon), and was adopted by Jaster Mareel after his parents and sister were burned alive by death watch. Jango fought in a bounty hunting tournament against his rival, Montross, for a credit reward of 5 million, to kill Komari Vosa, Dooku's deranged dark Jedi apprentice, before Ventress. Though, I do appreciate canon making it 20 million, instead of 5. By the time of attack of the clones, due to the separatist crisis and 2000 star systems being lost to Dooku, a republic credit would have been a diminished fiat currency, especially since most of the major trade guilds joined dooku. But the point still stands, insider should call himself an "insider," if he's going to spread misinformation about my glorious legends.

And yet his death by Windu was quite cheesy imo. They talk about how great he is yet he’s walking towards a Jedi who’s blocking all his shots and doesn’t even look like he attempts to dodge getting his head chopped off. I feel like his final moments should’ve been far more badass than what it was but that’s just my opinion.

My fan fic/head canon is that Jango had an identical twin brother who died long ago. Not only was Jango a Jedi Killer, but he was a Natural Clone. This helped speed up the cloning process and considerably lowered the number of Strand Casts. Jango Fett wanted an untouched clone because, not only would he have a son, but his twin brother would be alive again.

Uh the majority of what you say was correct except “clan Fett” jango was with the mandalorian protectors at the battle you speak of . He was also witness to his father and mother’s death by the death watch . But he was with Jaster Mereel as his adoptive son . He was a foundling . During the battle in which he kills Jedi he was the new leader of the mandalorian protectors and all but him and one other survived the slaughter . He was taken by Dooku and his master turned over to the regent of that world and sold into slavery . Until he had won his freedom and taken back his armor there was no “clan Fett”. Please track down the comic you showcase and re read .

Changing Jango Fett from being a Mandalorian is one of the dumbest changes ever. The whole point of why it was so effective was that, as anyone who knows any of the EU lore knows, the Mandalorians are the best foot soldiers in the galaxy. So much so that they have waged wars against the Jedi and Sith and nearly won on several occasions. Having a Sith lord at the head of a Mandalorian army is such an amazing plan by Palpatine. But noooooo... we can't have anything cool in Star Wars 😅.
