Finally! A minimalist design style you actually can LIVE IN!!!! Yummy Wabi-Sabi textures blend with the cozy aspect of the clean lines of Scandi! Tell me what you think below!!!! 👇👇😍
I love Japandi, but in the darker brown colours (not a fan of the light woods). And wabi sabi is wonderful, reminding us that imperfect can be beautiful. Thanks for the great video, Lisa!🙂
So many great and some simple to achieve elements for this kind of feel and look. Love the warm and cozy feel in these spaces. You always provide such great content for all of us ... Thank you!
Going to rewatch this episode ovr n ovr, so many great tips, thanks much !! That blue couch at 9:34 is so wonderful, where do u find something like that??
I am a John Pawson-level minimalist but Japandi is a wonderful vibe. Pawson's architecture and interiors are a mashup of monastery + Japanese--this tends to get overlooked. That said, Pawson, and fans, like me, can be OCD about everything being perfect, down to the last detail. This is the opposite of Wabi Sabi. Pawson does not do wabi-sabi, which might one reason why his critics find him off-putting. Compare to another of my faves, Axel Vervoordt. Vervoordt is a minimalist but doesn't have OCD ha and he totally embraces wabi-sabi. I love Pawson's work but even I would rather live in a Vervoordtian home. OK, I've been a bit far afield from Lisa's discussion in this video so taking it back to Japandi---LOVE this style. Great vid, Lisa! 😊
Sidebar question: Has the West Indies/British Colonial style completely vanished off of the face of the earth? I never see it mentioned or referred to in even a nod.
I love minimalism, easy clean house, I have time for myself, more than before and my house looks bigger. I never keep clutter.❤ In this video, some rooms look not comfortable, and furniture is not so relaxing, me minimalist person not pulling.
Hi Lisa I love the look so simple clean and organic. I did my master bathroom in an industrial organic style and it is relaxing. It’s industrial bc I went with long subway tile with black grout and minimized that pattern with a linen wallpaper and simple hardware. It was also important to have wood but I could not do a wood floor and went with a brown wood look porcelain tile. It reminds me of what you discussed in this video. Nice work! 🥰👏🏻
Love your videos 🥹….. also Japandi 🙏🏻. Thank you for such great quality in the image examples you present . I have to mention those assorted eye glasses you wear, so many .. all gorgeous on you . 🥰🔥🇬🇧xxx
Lisa, you are an interior design brainiac. Did you ever teach architecture or design at a university? Also, Is Gustavian related to Scandinavian? Perhaps a video on the topic would not go amiss? Thanks again for sharing all your experience!
Feels like home 😊🙋🏼♀️🇩🇰.....thank you for a very informatio- packed video 👍🏼..I just read about japandi- Mediterranean style ....so lots of variations out there ,( just as there are fusions ofJapanese- Nordic and Japanese - Mediterranean cuisines ...)
Love the information! Beautiful style. Lisa, your videos are infused with such a gracious teaching aspect. I'm so glad I found you guys and joined the club!
