If Hot 97 weren't a brand and for the people we'd be listening to different stuff instead of the same songs over and over. Rza from Wu Tang shouted "Fck Hot 97!" at their last summer jam eons ago because in 1997 the biggest double CDs were Big,Pac and The Wu Forever albums. They hit like 5Xs platinum and got no airplay in NYC compared to Big,Pac,Puff,Dre and Snoop etc. I'm NYC born we got long memory.
