@@andilegxelesha-maqashu7348But here you are; looking up in his face hanging onto every word and every motion he makes. I will never ON PURPOSE go look up in Jay's face and take time to listen to him. He just doesn't pull me like that. Lol, LL got that thang that even haters want to see.
I'm going to have to agree with you on that one, he was the first one to cross over to movies, had his own tv show, one of the first to sell out a book about his career, and is still the only black man to survive 2 horror movies. He was also one of the first to be hated on for having sexy scantily dressed women, cars & money in his vids 10 years before it became the norm.
He's just perturbed at how folks ain't getting the broad and boundless science of wordplay.. he's twitchin coz he's tried to explain it a gazillion times over but folks just wanna hear what they wanna hear. He don't strike me as the type to down play something as competitive as this.. something he literally craves day in day out.
Yes, these rappers now are trash. And the female rappers are worse than the men. They are ratchet. The "culture" is a lie. The black artists are the only ones disrespecting themselves with the strippers anti, twerking, butt showing outfits.....ugh...DISGUSTING 😮
@@BIX-18827DCM Stan, you wish you were ever relevant and had something intelligent to add to a conversation. Sorry to hear that you survived the accident. LL is not going to like your comment so how about you don't give it one more try. Good luck with that buddy.
LL is one of only 10 or so rappers that reached the top of the mountain. EVERYBODY wanted his throne. Definitely a GOAT . Who didn’t want to battle LL. I love his competitve spirit- nobody in the history of Hip hop had to face as many battles and competitors win or loss. THE MOST BATTLE TESTED MC IN HIP HOP HISTORY.
Big facts right here. Dude would be outside the New Music Seminars battling “nobodies” in a cipher while he’s the #1 hip hop artist in the world. L never known to turn down a battle even if he had absolutely nothing to gain from it.
"He been Rappin on the corner for 10 years,..." LOL... LOL... YO I LAUGHED SO HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YO THIS WHOLE INTERVIEW HAD ME HOLLERING! WHEN DID L BECOME A COMEDIAN? LOL...... Side thought,... Doesn't seem like "14 SHOTS TO THE DOME" came out like 2 years ago??? IT'S BEEN 31 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHIT I'M OLD BUT "WE'RE" STILL HERE AND "ALIVE"!!!!!
I don't think he can help it😂 LL has always had that animated aggressive demeanor. Look back at him speaking on stuff in the 90's. I always thought it was a new york thing
i love how know matter how much of a big multimillionaire celebrity actor he's become, his heart is still putting his HIPHOP roots first before all the other professional things he does, . in his eyes, he's a genuine professional RAPPER 1st, then all his other professional things comes after. he truly represents HIPHOP CULTURE to the fullest no matter what
Yip, and the situation with PMD on Rampage to the point that not only did LL re-do his lyrics thinking PMD was disssing him on the song, but he also no-showed the video, if I remember correctly. LL is an ego maniac on some ole outer space other level. Even that whole Jamie Foxx fight on that movie set back in the day was wild. Ha.
LL cant even lie straight about not sending Shots at HOV!!! 😂😂 "I made some contrasting statements based on his song and this and that"...Ngga u was shooting a Shot!!! 😂😂🤦🏾♂️
of course he got problem with Hove. He's been seeking attention from that man for years but Jay ain't paying him no mind. thats why he's still salty till this day. You heard him. lol
Spit some old writtens or something, you saying jay z ain't worth it? 🤔 can't be standing out there looking crazy, when at the time u supposed to be one the best
I raised 75k and Christina Ann Tucker. is to be thanked. I got my self my dream car 🚗 just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through her. Christina Ann Tucker.. Tucker is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good wife, and a beautiful daughter. Note: this is not a promotion but me trying to make a point that no matter what happens, always have faith and keep living!
I know that woman(Christina Ann Tucker.) If you were born and raised in new York you'd know too, No doubt she is the one that helped you get where you are!!!!
What LL said about J taking something the wrong way and being Sensitive about it... was the same thing LL did with Can-I-Bus. He had no intentions on dissing LL.
LL is talking as if it's Jay-Z bragging about the shit. There's outside noise causing unnecessary tension. I'm pretty sure Jay-Z is not worried about LL and vice versa. LL is an accomplished rapper and actor. Jay is a billionaire and married to Beyonce. Both are in the GOAT convo.
They're talking about the 90s. Jay Z was nowhere near as rich or famous back then as he is now. Yeah no one today is talking about this "beef" but back then they were
They talking about the past. I feel like LL Cool J telling his bias side of the story.I believe the beef started when Def Jam Sign jay back in 97 and the company push him before LL and he got jealous like he said sensitive but he was the one
@@daniel_debo these dudes get in interviews & say anything bc they have to be politically correct. Theres no way you can watch this clip & come to the conclusion that LL doesn’t have a problem with Jay. His body language & tone says it all!
@Travelbum3000 That's your take. LL has said he has no problem with Jay-Z in different interviews. People see one clip and think there is beef, lol. I'm leaving it at that.
Too many in this comment section too young to appreciate LL and hip hop in general. Stop retconning times and events you weren’t around for and don’t understand!
Do you remember the interview he did on the Breakfast Club with the Roots and how it turned out? This should not be a surprise at this point. Although CTG be on some bs a lot of times; I can see LL agreeing to this one.
Why surprised? Charlamagne's entire career has been interviewing hip hop artists. It makes more sense for LL to interview with him than Gretchen Whitmer interviewing with Charla
You missed thr point. He literally said he had done albums at that point. He acknowledged he ran out of rhymes he didn't claim nothing happened just that if that is the energy he wants even now he can go back into his bag.
I was disappointed to hear such a legendary M.C say that he "Ran out of rhymes" huh? That sounds absolutely pathetic and ridiculous. If you're a talented gifted lyricist, you never run out of rhymes, because you're constantly creating new lyrics and have the ability to do it at any notice. A more respectable answer, would've been LL just admitting that he took an L and jay got him and leave it as that.
@@korijamaalbeckett8167then spit an album verse or walk away. He was so arrogant probably talking in the 3rd person 😂. He thought he could wash whoever, spit trash and they laughed him out of the park
LOL. Them dudes were rappin' on the street corner and LL was staring in Movies and TV shows. Yeah, he was not prepared because he had other shi*t going on! LL is the blueprint
His answer was his answer, BUT it wasn't exactly a clear YES or NO on whether or not there is beef. From his body language, there definitely is something there.
Long story short - Jay-Z caught LL slacking and killed him. LL so animated about it, you can tell he wish he had that back. Him saying he didn’t have rhymes says a lot because Jay-Z mastered keeping so much material in his head.
U don listen either he said Jay Z boy sauce was rhyming and Jay tried to follow suit but L ran out of shit to say but like cool J said he wasn't gonna beef with some peanut rappers who haven't done shit I think Jay z could've been the first Cannibus 😂😂 if he really wanted the smoke
@@Travelbum3000 I meant if it was in a more professional setting song vs song. Diss track vs diss track LL has a better resume. Or if you a fan of the URL or how current battle rap is done on a stage an artist needs more than what you stated 💯
LL you dissed him, just admit it. If you wrote lyrics in opposition of something Jay said then in rap that is considered a diss. Jay was on the come up, the streets was saying Jay was next up and you tried to squash him before he could rise but it didn't work and it's ok. Jay tried the same thing on other artists too.
LL cool j basically saying that they caught him slipping as he was making money and had more on his plate than having multiple memorized rhymes to battle as he wasn't on battling on the corner anymore
Yea growing up I always thought Rock & LL were very alike. Both of them very Charismatic. They both have Mic control and can control the crowd. They have similar attitudes/personalities.
@@michaelclayton7603 Same here, I always thought that. I remember seeing them interacting at some awards show, thought it was one of the coolest things at the time, as a fan of both.
He sure did and he admitted that he did it but should have handled it another way! He's saying, handle it in a better way. He should say that as an adult in our community! However, LL didn't realize at FIRST that Canibus wanted the beef, though. He wanted to use the beef as a money grab. He wanted a big producer guy to finance the situation for ill-gotten gains. Your dude wanted the issue to blow up, so it did.
LL a real one 💯 he been in the game he knows all the secrets of industry dudes 💯 LL don't mess with P.Diddy or Jay-Z. LL OG mentality respect know dudes didn't get there positions by their craft 💯. Love to see LL do a vs battle against Jay-Z or Eneienm, 50 cent. 50 cent always to me took others people image to make his mark like Curtis took the real Gangsta name 50 cent from 70's and 80's to early 90's. And Curtis Aka 50 cent took LL swag in music and flims industry they don't give real Legends there flowers like LL kool J.
humility is important and respect for opponents is what makes this art amazing. we all have all lost at something, instead of excuses and saying this and that, just own it
I think this his way of saying if he wants to address it we can address it. But in his mind I bet he knows Jay tied to that diddy shit and basically saying it’s best we don’t even worry about each other and keep movin
I like what he's shown here, which is his own mind and his unique thinking, but walking with it in a way where he's not giving in to what others want. I'm reminded of what of either Big Daddy Kane or Rakim said when they were explaining how back in the day there was pressure for them to begin making records about each other, for that to develop into a situation. It can't be that you're living your life for what everyone else wants; a decision to do something should be because it's what you want, as in making records because you personally feel that it's the right thing. With thanks for the content.
