That was a good idea about jaden guarding the 5 to prepare for the switches. We did that against the thunder this season so when chet would pop, rudy would get over to him and jaden would switch onto shai. Obviously different dynamic cuz the mavs bigs can’t shoot but, interesting nonetheless

defense shooting and rim pressure are jokics weaknesses. jokic is a top tier rebounder. no1s fighting the shooting or rim pressure. but the defense seems to be a point of contention... yee he might not be a 2/10 on defense but hes a 5 or 6/10 at best... thats not good right?? imo rim protection is the most valuable skill on defense. the rim is the spot on the court from which the best offense forms so rim protection is equally vital on the other side. for that reason i'd give him 4/10. ive always thought giannis was better than jokic. ik i was probably in the minority but jokic supporters were arguing that he is a good defender and shooter. if this run weakens their faith in those areas mayb giannis might reclaim the top spot for some. but my opinion of him hasnt been lessened by this playoff run. n i dont think any1 but giannis has a chance of eclipsing him

i think wolves will struggle to get good looks at the rim. and ky and luka will have to be great individually v min. pj n dj wont save them this series. whoever "solves" their issue better will win. and i think gobert and mcdaniels is just too much inconsistent shooting on the floor to free the rim for min so im picking dallas in 7. but its a toss up in my mind

Price of the brick going up. Playoff Luka is back. Luka put up 27/11/8 at 60% true shooting and 45% 3P shooting in the last 5 games including all 4 wins in the OKC series. He also shot 39.1% in the OKC series even if you include stinker in game 1.

@@sindilacion agreed and despite his supposedly poor form, he put in 3 dominant shooting and overall performances to get 3 wins: When the series was tied, Luka shot the 29/10/7 @ 67% TS and 62% from 3 in Game 2 along with 3 steals and 1 block. 31/10/11 @ 66% TS and 45% from 3 in Game 5. 29/10/10 @ 80.2% TS and 67% from 3 in Game 6.

Luka is underrated. Luka has been a beast in the playoffs since he was 20, but Ant is a better player? Wtf am I reading? In 2016 both Kyrie and Love weren’t ALL STAR, Lebron is the only player ever with Jokic to win a title without an ALL STAR or ALL DEFENSIVE player, but we all know the truth, and the truth is that Kyrie and Murray are ALL STAR level players in the Playoffs, sometimes they even play like Top 10 players, last season Murray was the first player ever to average over 30ppg on 50/40/90 in the WCF, and only player ever with Lebron, MJ and Magic to average over 20ppg and 10apg in the Finals … And in 2020, Murray was the first and still the only player ever to have 2 50pts game in 1 playoffs serie (Vs Utah). And Murray is one of the greatest playoff riser, just like Jokic .. Just 1 week ago Analysts/RU-vidrs/Podcasters were showing their stats saying they are the best duo in the world and the best playoffs riser, so give me a break, Jamal is an ALL STAR just like Kyrie in 2016, but this year he didn’t play nearly as well, probably because of the injury and fatigue ..

I’m a big Joker fan but we have to keep it 100.. When ANY other superstar losses with a semi-competent roster the superstar gets ALL the blame. They get all the accolades when they win too so let’s keep it fair! I like Joker but he could’ve done more. Honestly I think it has more about his leadership and intangibles. They were challenged and not one person in a Denver uni looked composed..not even the coach. The Pistons with Tayshaun and Ben Wallace and Sheed…were a better defensive team, as well as several others. Stop the exaggeration. It’s channels like this that are ruining sports. Jokic is not the ‘best player alive’. He cannot handle strong defense just like the rest of the league. Why can’t we just watch the games without all this hyperbole?? One thing I would say is the joker had enough time to improve his fitness level to play an entire 48 minutes and maybe nuggets wouldn’t lose their 20 point lead. Look at Josh hart. I also argue that when compared to other greats, guys like steph, lebron, Kobe all have another gear in the 4th quarter

Jokic played 65 minutes in a game before. His conditioning is fine if he has other players who can ease the load, he has to do EVERYTHING for them. Imagine if he went 6-24 and his team still won...lets see Josh Hart play 65min a game and do EVERYTHING for the Knicks, bet he can't. BTW didn't Hart get injured due to being run into the ground?

Jokic had 14 points on 64TS% in the 4th quarter. He had more points in the 2nd half than every other Nugget combined so the last sentence is a bit weird to me. Edit: I also don’t understand why he even played 47 minutes to me that’s a Coach Malone mistake. Why couldn’t he have gotten some rest when they were up 15-20 points?

The standard thst Jokic is held to isn’t fair but that’s the standard every mega star is held to. After game 7 in 2022 Gianni’s had 44 and 20 and people called him a choker even with Middleton out. This is the standard for this lvl of player and it’s justified. He was very innefiecient in game and he was horrible from 3 the entire playoffs not just game 7. He’s a 3x mvp this is the standard he’s going to be held to the rest of his career

We all actually know the reason, but it's too pathetic to say out loud. If the most important thing is regular season record, then playoffs shouldn't even exist. Joker led all players in the Timberwolves nuggets series in points, rebounds, and assists. More points than Ant, more rebounds than Rudy, and more assists than any of the guards. Yes, Ants defense is better than Jokers. But it was team defense that beat the nuggets, not one individual player's defense. If you took away both Joker and Ant from this series, the timberwolves would win in five games. That is a clear sign that Ant isn't better, at least not yet.

He is a terrible defensive player. The number one skill for a center is to protect the rim. The Wolves shoved it down his throat. Jokic got FOUR REBOUNDS hte entire second half. The Wolves drove to that basket constatntly., Naz dominated Jokic TWICE.. He played a bad second half. As a PG it is his responsibllity y to get the people involved. He can only back down which limits his options. That is why he only had 7 assisits. Jokic is as much to blame as anyone for the game 7 loss.
