I find it so funny that people think Guardiola is fit to lace Mourinho's boots. The man is totally untested in any type of challenging situation. Mourinho has proven himself to be twice the manager of Pep. The idea that Mourinho is 'past it' or that football has 'moved on' is SO lazy. Like with any sport - the team that does the thing that they do better than the other team does the thing that they do, wins. The obsession with pressing is just nonsense. The obsession with any type of football is nonsense. If you play defensively - badly - and sit back - badly, you're up the swanny. Like wise, if you press badly, if you play on the front foot - badly - you're screwed. Mourinho is number one. Ancelotti is close, but he's only done it with massively advantaged clubs, too.
To be fair Guardiola's won 12 league titles in 16 years, with two 2nds, a 3rd and a gap year in New York in that time. Winning the Champions League with Porto and Inter will always be amazing, plus the football at Chelsea inbetween, but consistency and ability to continuously remotivate matters.
