Kate's little nods to Diana are so lovely, subtle, but lovely...If Diana was still around today, they would've ADORED each other...she must be very proud of her son for marrying such a wonderful young lady

Kate has grace beyond words! She knows her role as royalty and without fail always shows she’s accepted it for her husband and her children! Congratulations to her and Willam for beautiful baby boy !
My mom gave birth to my brother at around 3 am and was home at 7am. It's not a big deal. Kate was blessed with a complication free birth. Good for her.
It’s just amazing how that little boy is only a few days into his life and he is already famous , loaded and will never have to work and he’s got a beautiful family around him and has all the attention in the world
It’s very rare for Kate and William to show any public displays of affection so holding hands while they walked to their vehicle really stood out. No doubt she could use his physical strength to help her so quickly after giving birth and it is such a bonding experience for the parents as well right after delivering a baby. A baby is a gift that needed equal parts William and Kate and the love they felt for one another, especially just after the birth is very strong. I hope they stay a happy family for the rest of their days. Bless those children. :)

Seeing William bringing the children around nearly brought me to tears. I can not help but think of Diana, what a wonderful mother she was and how she would have loved her grandchildren. 👑😇😇

She's so badass. Still with some of the pain, she managed to smile and wave elegantly and walked with heels. They planned their family well too with 2 years in between the children.
7 hours later is not abnormal for a healthy and physically fit woman! I had my daughter at a birthing center completely unmedicated and went home with her 3 hours after she was born. That was a year ago, we are both still just fine, and I wouldn’t choose to do it any other way. It’s insurance and pharmaceutical companies that have everyone believing you need an epidural, IV lines and a 3 day hospital stay.
cubomania3 You're privy to their inner thoughts? They have the right to make decisions about what they wear. Do you have to be a jerk on such a lovely day?You came on the site just to badmouth people? Don't rain on everyone else's parade.

By normal she means it is normal for a mother to be sent home the same day after giving birth. It happens far more in other countries just not here in the US. Now maybe you are saying it is not normal for a woman to be made up like the Duchess is and you are probably right. Most women won't bother, but the Duchess has to make a public appearance and I can guarantee if you had to you would make sure you looked your best doing so.
Not so much when you have a full household staff and 24 hour help that your handlers keep secret because they want the lay public to believe you are doing everything on your own and "just like regular folk".
Who cares, who cares!! Yeah, she has it all but I believe they try to do a good bit on their own and regardless, it's about the baby boy...who can ignore a precious baby no matter who the parents are??!!

Unless it was a complicated labor or a caesarean section, walking a few hours after birth should be fine. This is normal in other countries and as long as the mother feels well, this (movement)could even help with the contraction of the uterus which helps reduce further blood loss. The body adapts well under normal circumstances. Most of all, she gets the best care possible so that significantly helps.

I believe she was still in a little pain and discomfort. They made her up and dressed her well. She had to pretend to be well for us and for royal tradition
Major Flash-Backs, no, not really, after 2 babies it's really easy. I had my third at home, only because I couldn't bare being away from the other two.
I'd love to know what they wear at home..... I've not had any kids yet, but if I as her I'd be desperate to get home kick my shoes off and get a nice comfy outfit on like a big baggy tshirt and lounge trousers!
Major Flash-Backs - Hell yes she was in pain. You don't give birth to a baby, especially an 8+ lb. baby and you're up, dressed and walking out of the hospital a few hours later in heels feeling your best.
In the UK it is normal to leave hospital hours after delivery as long as there’s no complications , especially if it’s a third child. Only difference is most women do go home to other children, running a home etc.
I'm in the UK and I went home less than 24 hours after a c-section and walked absolutely fine up and down the stairs no problems. in fact I'd been up in my feet a little over three hours post birth and tending to my baby with no issues at all .. the most important thing is mind set.. getting your head in the right place before the birth.. it helps the medical experts and meds to work their magic.. however that being said.. No matter what shape you are in post birth.. there is always recovery and within a short space of time it won't matter who walked out gracefully and who ambled out with a grimace on their face.. wear your experience with pride, you earned your stripes tiger!
People forget she’s ROYALTY. It’s not like she’s going home and having to do laundry make dinner clean house and do hands on care of her other kids as soon as she walks in the door lol. She’s going to have I dare say in house medical with her at least a nurse. She’s probably getting better care at home than we do here in the states in the HOSPITAL. Lol
Tina Hall Bette care than any woman in the US after giving birth, at least those who cannot affford a private neonatal nurse or nurse practioner to do a home visit.

Love love love the Duke and the duchess of Cambridge !! X | still can’t stop watching Charlotte waved to the photographer ... that so cuteee and adorable !!
I went home with my first baby 10 hrs after having her,and with second one was staying overnight because having complications...so totally normal being sent home...(im in Ireland)
What they didn't factor into this is that Kate is a physically fit, athletic-type woman. Such women tend to have smoother birth experiences before and after.
Ha! I thought it would be a breeze because I was so fit and athletic. I thought it wouldn't hurt and would be over in an hour. Sixteen hours of back pain with overlapping contractions from the get go, with the epidural having no affect. I felt like my body was going into shock.
Omg Kate had heels on. And the issue is what exactly. If she had flats on you'd find something to say about that. As for her dress she looked lovely. And why make an issue about her going home after 7 hours so do thousands of woman and..... she obviously was checked out before leaving as with the thousands of other new Mum's. I expect she got straight in her pj's and slippers once home as do the other thousands of new Mum's.
Leila Moorhouse--It's the same in the USA. Unless the mother is a primapara or there are medical complications, or the mother has difficulty bonding/nursing/whatever with her new baby, women can be--and are--discharged within 24 hours.
+One MercilessMing exactly....us women are strong now.........I love the royal family but like uve explained it is the same all over. xxx I'd love to come to the USA......it's a dream ov mine x
Princess Katherine is so Amazing to keep Princess Diana’s memory in all our hearts and minds ❤️. It makes me admire and love her just that much more 😉. YOU GO GIRL 😉🌹
Here in the US , our doctors, say No Heels after 7 months pregnant, where Wow Kate wore them all thru and after this baby! Like Wow, amazing........I would be fearful of tripping, plus falling down those steps. She looked great! A wonderful, Couple tho, they are The Best.........
I want Robin's yellow dress and accessories to match. MAN! Why doesn't Robin have a clothing line on HSN. I love all the different colors Robin from blue to fuschia. Just gorge!
Mrs. Adriann Robin ALWAYS looks amazing-no matter what! As a former athlete, she has maintained herself impeccably. Even when she was ill with cancer, she never looked bad. I don’t know how she does it!
She may have been wearing a red shift, makeup, earrings and heels just 7 hours after birth. Yet, just like every other woman, under that shift, she was wearing mesh undies and a gigantic thunder pad.
I don't understand why they're making such a huge deal about it. Kate has an entire household staff to do the heavy lifting and I guarantee there's a doctor or nurse on hand in case she has any complications. They probably pumped her full of painkillers before she left the hospital anyways, so she was fine.
In the UK second time mums go home soon after delivery, unless there's a problem. In the mid 90s I had my second baby at 00:20 and only went home at 10:00 because that was when the Dr did his rounds. If my son had been born at 08:00 I expect I still would have gone home at 10:00. We don't get pushed around in wheelchairs (like you see on American TV shows - don't know if that really happens in the US). EDIT: I also had a midwife calling around often (can't remember if it was every day - was 22 years ago), until they said that everything was OK with me and my baby. We then have an allocated Health Visitor who calls every so often to make sure the baby is developing OK - my Midwife and Health Visitor (HV) were fantastic. The HV would make sure her appointments were before her lunch hour because she had quite a tough area and I was respite for her (she told me that). I'm trained to work with young children so she didn't have to worry about me knowing if my children were developing properly etc, but she called, I think it was mainly for a chat and a cup of tea! My second birth experience was different to my first. With my 1st son, I stayed in hospital for about 3 days. With my 2nd I was on, what was called, a domino scheme - basically my community midwife delivered my baby so I got to knew her before the birth and afterwards. No wonder we want to protect our NHS - it has been a good service, although it's going downhill now (unfortunately)!
EVERY woman in the world, giving birth should be treated just as well, royalty or not.🏩 She should have been allowed a freakin day off from heels, dress and make up to give birth!, 👶👑👠💄
i would say she is average. she eats, sleeps and s--its like the average person. royalty is only a title, it does not make her better than anyone else.
Christine Holmstock That's what I was trying to say, thank you! 👍. Their TITLE doesn't make them any better than the rest of us NON ROYALTY people. We should ALL be treated equally. ✝
I stayed in the hospital for 5 days after giving birth to my son, even though we had no complications whatsoever. Not sure why, but I was glad to be there because I was young and afraid to go home with my son.

I think she left hospital early maybe she ok she feels normal strong her body mashallah alhamdulilla no any problem she's good 👍👏👏congratulations 🎊 royal family to welcome new baby 👶 for Kate and William 👏👏🌹🌹
I don't understand the sudden wonder at her wearing heels. She wore high heeled wedge shoes after Georges' birth and flats after Charlotte's. Where was the incredulous wonder those two other times??? She also left hours after giving birth to Charlotte. Why is every news media outlet acting so damn surprised? Clearly they were NOT paying attention and/or are just jumping on a stupid band wagon.
Dana says- Lots of women feel too exhausted and sore to use the core muscles that wearing heels requires, and also don't care about looking good versus complete comfort, but like the ladies said, it's part of her job/duties to always look her best. I would have left in sweats and a huge t-shirt myself, but to each their own. I'm just happy for them. They have a healthy baby. Who really cares about the rest, really?
They were stupid questions considering the woman had come out for photos and worn heels the previous times she gave birth. These media outlets act as if this is NEW. Total bullshit. THAT IS MY PROBLEM. Do YOU have a problem with it? hmmm?
Well unlike most women, I'm sure she has access to full medical care even while at home and a team of people ready, willing, and able to do whatever she needs them to do so she can recover comfortably at home. Most people don't, and can't, get that.
Jewels A. Who des not care about a nother mother whos a four year old little boy named Alfie Evans who Kate country's government is literally starving to death in the hospital by court order & the royal family ignores this little boy. Just proves the royal family don't give a damn about anybody but themselves.

To think, here in uk...the same time as when prince William was born himself..you were kept in hospital 10 days with the first. For a second it was 5 days. My third ,was two days. Now they kick you out a few hours after birth. How times have changed..not sure it’s for the better. Kate certainly must have a great team behind her.

Notice, though ,that Kate still has her baby bulge like every other woman who has ever given birth. That was a shock for me after my first. No one prepared me. I guess it's one of those deep dark secrets like the pain that no one talks about least we all think twice about having a baby. LOL
Christian Barnes: The name is Swiss. Story is that 5 brothers came over from Switzerland at the turn of the century so there are quite a few Emches scattered around. It's my married name. Ask your co-worker if she knows a Hal, Tom, David, Roger or Eric Emch.
luvleeana - I think wealth has little to do with being loved and cared for.. clearly there was not one person helping her to the car ... no one to help support her into the BACKSEAT after giving birth AFTER SEVEN HOURS ..

The heels! Lol! I saw that and was like; "Damn! I was in hospital socks when I was wheeled out of the hospital! Lol!! I love Kate. I'm super happy for the family. God bless the little one ❤
The queen had all her babies at home....birth ain't an illness. America has the most medical model surrounding birth, with maternal and neonatal mortality 20 times higher than countries like England! Birth is not meant to be treated as an illness and, yes, hospitals are filthy, noisy places - hardly conducive to a healthy recovery from a normal, physiological event.
Are you fucking serious? Stop spreading fake dangerous bullshit. There's almost no midwives existing now and I really doubt they have any emergency medical/surgical experience. My mother had to have a C-section since my twin sister and I were not positioned correctly for delivery. And my boyfriend also had complications with his birth and could have harmed and possibly killed himself and his mother. And this all occured unexpectedly at birth. You can't take stupid risks for the sake of tradition or "doing it the old way". That is just so selfish and careless and you are risking the life and future of a child. Even if the child survives, they can still have long term effects and complications. I have a cousin who did not receive proper care at birth and now suffers from it. He did not get enough oxygen when he was born. And now have to go to therapy every single day. So stop being out horrible advice to men and women.
The Art of the Home Pregnancy has been classified as not an illness but there are so many risks involved. My mom used to say one foot in one foot out .You have to be cautious in what you do and hygiene etc. Some of the risks are haemorrhaging, post partum infection especially if you have an episiotomy, breast engorgement and even extreme exhaustion. The uterus takes six weeks to get back to its original anatomical structure.
But for Kate I am sure she will have a doctor on close call and nurses 24/7.She doesn't have to worry about chores etc as she will have people serving her and at her beck and call all the time.Pediatric or neonatal nurse for the baby. The high heels is another thing.Lol.
Kate only had to walk a few yards, she was most probably pushed in a wheelchair to the doors, Kate is just like every other mum leaving the hospital soon after birth....
Lisa Lyttle, I had a daddy assisted home birth this last baby (#11) and 2 hours later my husband went to work. Granted I did have some older kids to help out but it was back to normal life, even did a normal school day, just started a couple hours late! Was my shortest and best labor and after birth I've ever had.
Really I had good health insurance but had my son at 5am and ask my Dr if I could go home, my 3rd son also. I was out at 10am and grocery shopping at 11am with 3 boys one just 6 hours old. My first and 2nd son's were only 24 hour stays here in the United States.
ZeneidaGordon - you’re so very right and rightfully so!! This is strange. No one to even help her into the back seat%!! Her body cannot possibly be healed that quickly .. I’m sorry but then to wear heels after giving birth to over a 8 pound baby.. and walking unaided.. hmmmm.
Kids wave to total strangers as soon as they learn how to do it - there's absolutely NO marvel that the little waved to people waving at her - or even to wave at all! ALL kids do it!
Kate was probably sick of the nurses going in and out of her room constantly. When your finally able to get some sleep, the nurses wake you and ask, "Would you like a sleeping pill?"
