It's hard to keep the diversity topic of of it considering this boast from Rabois on the TWIST podcast on Feb 19th about Khosla. Keith Rabois: "We don't have one Christian white male partner . . . like, from the US. We don't have one American, Christian, white male partner" - and almost immediately again - "We literally don't have one central casting, American Christian" - then (in sarcasm/neutralizing anticipation of criticism) - "We are obviously discriminating"
I have finished watching this video completely. (我看完這部影片了) I am a Taiwanese who cares about the global affairs. (我是一個關心全球事務的台灣人) And, sadly, most of my fellow Taiwanese don't really care about the world. (但是，很不幸地，我大部分的台灣同胞不那麼在意世界。) Hopefully Taiwan can become increasingly globally-aware and globally-competitive. (希望台灣可以越來越有全球意識與全球競爭力。) God bless Taiwan. (天佑台灣。)

Rabois bragged on the 'This Week in Startups' podcast a few days ago that Khosla has not even one 'American, white, Christian male' partner. You would think a person who is both gay and Jewish would have a distaste for intolerance and exclusion and know better than to celebrate an absence of a racial, national, gender and religious demographic the way he did (part 1 time stamp 34:25 of the TWIST interview). As Theil is American, Christian, male and white I wonder if Rabois laments this at Founders Fund?
Thanks for the update on TWIST. I stopped listening 12 months ago when Jason went full Russia hysteria tilt. It's nice to know the show is still off the rails with rabois feeling quite comfortable making an obviously bigoted statement
@@WorldInANutshell It is quite shocking just how much misandry and anti white racism is open discussed on the show but at the same time I really like Jason's candid manner on non socio-political topics and and also feel like learn a lot as well as the show being very entertaining and have super interesting guests. So I can bear the hypocritical PC virtue signalling as it's great when just discussing business and tech.
@@NR-rv8rz Jason is one of the sharpest minds in business analysis. Much to learn from him. I got to the point where I felt like I was being exposed to a toxin and had to turn it off. Jason lempkin also has great analysis with toxic injections of politics.
@@WorldInANutshell These people are 'ladder pullers'. They gouge huge wealth for themselves then push social policies that they get to feel virtuous about without every having to pay the price for. Essentially they seek to ease their conscious at being super rich (not that they should have to) while having others pay the price for the do gooder ideals.
@@lukebaldis I just watched this video over again as it's two years since I posted this comment but I guess the statement he made was in the TWISU podcast and I'm not going to watch that all again. You may be right, like Theil and Musk, Rabois is clearly on some kind of spectrum which would explain the prodigy aspect to him. So he doesn't really emote when he speaks much; certainly not in vocal tone. In fact his way of speaking is very similar to Zuckerberg and even more similar to John Carmack. So it's quite possible I missed his sarcasm when making that comment.
I don't agree with what he said about taking money from Saudi Arabia. All money is green and keep your politics out of it. It's not as if you're sanctified.
"all money is green". And that's the root of corruption in all governments and corporations. Interested how or even IF you're interested in reducing corruption around the world with this mentality.
@@CeeLow53 The trouble is that the human being is a competitive species - if you won't take that money, somebody else will - and that shall be the conscious capitalist's downfall. I know that it's a gross oversimplification but I'm afraid that is the conclusion I always come to.
