Knott's Berry Farm's Boysenberry Festival is one of the best times of year to visit Knott's Berry Farm, one of the oldest proper Theme Parks in America, that influenced so many other attractions and even inspired Disneyland history. Of course, it all started with the Boysenberry itself; on a Farm established 100 years ago in Southern California.
But that's all well known; inside Knott's Berry farm along with new attractions and festival merchandise are still a wealth of hidden history secrets and artifacts, not to mention so much more deleted history waiting to be uncovered!

Thank you for solving the train mystery, so happy it's being restored and returned! I remember when you could put coins on the railroad tracks where you cross in front of the stopped train. And there were no gates either! Mid 70's. I remember being disappointed when I returned as a young adult in the late 80's(?) Anyways, why am I the only one commenting??

When I was a little girl my Dad worked not far from Knott’s Berry Farm and my parents had one car. Often we’d go to feed the ducks at the pond at Knott’s before picking him up. Behind Independence Hall sat an snack shack that I think was an old building or covered wagon. I don’t remember it being opened when we’d be there. Around the pond was a kids train that went around the pond and to the left of the pond was a carousel. Because my parents didn’t have a lot of money going on the train or the carousel was a treat. I have pictures of my sister and I there in probably ‘67-‘69. Let me know if you’d like to see them.
