They didn't replace Margot. This is a totally different universe of Batman. In reality, we don't even know if Batman exists in this particular universe.
They really should've made her as Ivy. Have her do an origin movie THEN make a Harley/Ivy movie with Margot. That would've been epic. Gag's a bit short on the height tho 😅

i wouldn't say "replace", because in most of these movies they would get a new actor for batman, joker, everyone.. whenever i watch these films i don't expect to see the old actors again
Margot Robbie hated her role as Harley Quinn. She hated the outfit, she didn't like several of the director's decisions. And despite getting very popular, she didn't like where her career was going.
Margot Robbie was never Harley Quinn. She did a nice job but didn’t have all the bitterness, backstabbing, and psychosis . Lady Gaga on the other hand fits the role perfectly 😂
What I like about Margot is that she speaks in a calm and collected way, she’s humble and still entertaining in interviews. Some big actresses in Hollywood nowadays resort to fake compliments, over exaggerated gestures, try hard jokes, ego feeding ( I do this and I do that) and they often are extremely vain. She may not be the best actress out there but she’s very hard working and I’m sure soon it will bear fruits in terms of awards, accolades and greater chances.
DC is a multiverse, every reimagined Harley and joker will not be the same. It's a whole different dimension, so they can take as much creative freedom to create their version of the characters in unimagined images. That's doesn't make them any less Harley and Joker, just not the universe or version you used to.
Also the costume of suicide squad doesn't fit to Joker 2 which is more vintage and take place in the 70s. And I prefer personally Gaga's costume which looks more like an harlequin.
They haven’t replaced her Margot will be playing her own incarnation of Harley as usual thankfully. It’s a different tradition to Joker. So Harley can have simultaneous separate incarnations and hopefully no alleged curse therefore 😻

Creative freedom is the reason why I don't have favorites in the comic book universe. Seeing different versions of a character ruins what makes those characters unique. That's just my opinion.

I love Gaga, her Harley is different from Harley in SS that very lively and crazy. But both of them still beautiful. I think Gaga suits this Harley because this HQ seems more real to human who has a strong vision in her head in what she believes.

Lady Gaga turned out to be a pretty good actress, I'm excited to see where she takes the character of Harley Quinn, which is one of my favorite characters ever so she's got her work cut out for her lol
I'm kinda torn about having Gaga as Harley Quinn... Im so used to Harley being a certain way, which, for me is what makes Harley who she is. I'm totally willing to give her a chance though. ❤
It's because of the second reason, cause in the comics they have a crossover of the other universe, so that's most likely they are going to do that in the future

Margot Robbie will always be my favorite Harley Quinn, but I believe that Lady Gaga will add a more realistic quality to the character of Harley Quinn. I wish she could have kept the concept of Harley being a therapist to the Joker, but this is a new twist to Harley Quinn and I think Lady Gaga will make an excellent addition to the actresses who have played Harley in the past.🃏🤡One of my favorite DC characters.
