My lips are like that, I never liked how lipstick looked on me... Now I know why 😂 I always felt like it was too much on me, that's why I do the Japanese gradient style, looks much more natural and also makes my lips look so luscious 😊
So funny how this is how RU-vid makeup videos used to be… then people tried to switch it up by talking about something completely irrelevant. But maybe now the pendulum is swinging back :)
our lip shape has to be so complicated for no reason (can y’all stop taking this so damn seriously?? ik my lips are “the way nature intended! ✨” or whatever. i am so sorry that i said it’s complicated to do lip liner on my lip shape without looking like a clown. y’all get offended by mfing EVERYTHING.)
because you guys make it complicated 🥴 just stay the way you are, who cares how many lip lines you have like literally WHO has the time to do that? applying a godda*n lipstick has been made this complicated by people actually…the ones who have nothing to do except for staring at their own face and discerning how to make makeup more complicated and time consuming, next thing you know there are “lip line finders” at sephora
EVERYTHING has a reason. even the shape of our nose is because of the places our ancestors lived and the food they ate. it helps u. we must've had ancestors that need that lip shape :) it's so cool tbh
@@himaririku5289 I mean- everything has a reason. the reason we're short, tall, we have small/big nose, our skin is light/dark, our lips are big/small, etc. and it's super cool bc our body has developed over the years to help us
@natalija9655 it's not a mistake, for most there is nothing wrong but for the few that share my condition, it can be extremely irritating. To speak this way is becoming more common with certain content creator's because of the effect it has on the majority's brains (ASMR) but others have a completely different experience with the same sounds. It sucks when I'm interested in the video but have to mute it because it is actually unbearable for me to listen too. And I like to share this thought in hopes maybe the creator will see these comments and others like mine, and realise they'll have a greater audience reach if they spoke normally. But I also understand that they use this technique intentionally in order to gain the interest of the peoples whose brains drool over these sounds 😂
@@tamago_yaki they are pink like every white girl’s lips👄 People of color on the other hand can have different color of lips . Sometimes a dark brown upper lip and a pink bottom. How you like that?
@@Orlanzepol123 not every white girl's lip has this kind of shade tho.. And about the color you mentioned, I can't say much. I find some of them pretty and some of them are not as pretty. Just pure opinion.
Thank you for this!!! I’ve never seen anyone talk about it. I’m over 40 and have always felt like I was doing something wrong. But you just explained how to fix my lip lining issue! Thanks so much!!! ❤
IM SO HAPPY YOU DID NOT DRAW A STRAIGHT LINE OVER YOUR CUPIDS BOW!! To me THAT is the key to making lipstick look good!!!! Embrace your cupids bow, it’s sexy and feminine!!!
@@itsnemosoul8398 I line mine to how they naturally are than I kind of pat lightly with my finger to slightly soften it because yes you don’t want a harsh line either
That makes so much sense. Because when I just put lipstick on and rub it in, I always feel like it goes over the edge of my lips on the outer corners and looks bad.
I'm 38 years old and I NEVER wear lipstick for this very reason. You literally changed my beauty routine. Thank you so much for this savvy tip and trick! 🙏❤️
I was about to say, I'm 38 years old and feel like a silly goose! I thought I was some kinda freak or something, like, cover the lines I look like a doober, don't and I had frog lips, like what?! Life changing!
Can I just say you have some of the most beautiful lips 👄 I’ve ever seen! It seriously looks like the emoji! But seriously personally the whole lip lining thing has always been a issue for me! I know how to do all things with makeup but when it comes to my lips I don’t even really use a liner. Now I see the proper way to do it and omg I’m gonna try this thanks so much!
I think this may be the issue with my lips. Lipstick, no matter the color, always looks overdone on me if I go to the line! I will try this the next time I wear it ❤
If this doesn't work you could try the concealer on the outer edges of your lips blended with your lipstick trick. MissDarcei has a good tutorial on her channel.
I always wondered why lipstick looked weird on me! I’ve always ended up opting for a softer look, just putting the color in the middle and blending it out. I’ll have to try this trick next time :)
Wow...this is the first time ive seen a video explaining the lines and where exactly to put the concealer verses the liner...thank you for being soo detailed...soooo helpful!! Im 62 and appreciate this very very much ❤ Now to go play with my lip liners and concealer 😊
Thank you so much! I've been struggling with lip lined forever and this is such a easy video to understand and follow. Thanks girl! You upgraded my makeup skills!!❤❤❤
@ fellow girlies, concealer around the lips only looks good on camera & your mouth is moving too much during the day so it’ll crease. In real life it’s very noticeable even if the shade is close to your skin tone :(
This can be avoided if you place it carefully on the lips, not using too much and going into places like smile lines 🫶🏼 a hydrating concealer would be good rather than a more drying one
@@Lovevirgovenus sounds like a you problem tbh. I never had those problem either. Try diff concealer and dont use too much. It never crease on me🕴🏻you don't need to ask ppl if they crease or not because you can see it yourself
Thank you for putting this info out there! I had to figure this trick out on my own, and tbh it really helped with my insecurity over my small lips. They used to look thinner with lipstick on, but this method gives me a really pretty porcelain doll pout that I get compliments on all the time! Plus, if you have a defined cupid's bow like I do, rounding the points of it gives you a bit more of an old Hollywood look, and sharpening them accentuates the porcelain doll effect.
I am supposed to focus on how you do your lips but your eyes, your natural lashes has captivated all my attention throughout the video.. you're so beautiful
If I had her lips I wouldn’t even wear lipstick, she has the perfect shape and plumpness! I need the help of any lip product so my lips don’t look like this 😐 lol
My old self is having flashbacks to the late 90's with this. (Other than I used nude lipstick instead of concealer.) I was sad when this went out of style, tbh. Nice to see it circle back around. 😊
I literally have that and have just always lined the outer lip line. Girl I am 54 years old and have a massive collection of cosmetics and you taught me something new about myself today!! ❤️😁 Thank you
You have beautiful rosy lips and they're full, mine aren't but I do have the "outer lip line" which I never thought to call it. But I DID figure out the concealer trick a while back. And lip liner is a must! Overdrawing doesn't work too well. Great advice!
That's what I was thinking! So many of my friends ended up with horribly chapped lips too! Plus, my concealer has salicylic acid, and you SHOULD NOT put that anywhere it might be ingested.
@maloryj7165 No kidding! I would've paid nearly anything for access to tutorial videos like this! They get to try things out with a virtual guide to help them! I cringe thinking of the bad emo eyeliner or solid colorblocks of neon eyeshadow with bold blush and poorly colored cheap lipsticks (or the non-lip friendly makeup, lol) we wore! It took me into my 20s to figure out I was allergic to some of the ingredients in the cheap stuff and that's why I was always red & blotchy - and only because a friend told me she had the same thing.
i tried so hard making lip liner look good on me but never understood why it would look so weird when i followed simple tutorials, but i didn’t even know i had this kind of lips actually! this is going to be very helpful thank you!!!
Welcome to the 90’s and early 2000’s. Lol We always used to use a lip liner before lipstick. In fact, some lip sticks had duo sides to line…then apply lipstick.
@@sady1139 But they're not doing that tho? Lining lips never went out of style. Some people don't know how to do their makeup so there are videos showing different ways to do different things. Simple really lol
i was also so confused and kept on wearing lipstick wrong 😭😭 thank you so much for this, i wouldn’t have realized that there is both an out and inner lip line without this!!
She's speaking the truth! I didn’t know what I had was a double lipline but it's perfect, cause you can line that and it still looks natural and beautiful from all angles. 🩷
I’m not a huge lip make up girlie, but I have a major inner and outer lip line difference and I never even knew that was a thing until this video and this was super helpful, thank you!
