Lmao they did make a third one but it was made by a third party developer CAPCOM gave to them. It was a prequel to the first one and we even saw young Gale. Lost planet 2 is on Xbox series s and X you can buy in the store. People are still playing it too!
I had the same exact thoughts aswell when i played, i remember going on a mission and seeing the chargers for the first time and it gave me flashbacks to the dongo’s from lost planet and the massive bile titans reminded me of the tencales. i also wanted to say that it’s important to know that it’s not capcoms fault that lost planet died and they truly loved their creation it’s just horrific dawg shit human beings wanting the same regurgitated crap that they get every year and company’s creating inaccurate reviews of the game just because it’s not “similar” to other games
@@allenrichiez930 would love a Helldivers inspired game for lost planet. Where multiple teams are doing missions facing off against tons of npcs getting to an objective. Along with the lost planet 2 pvp multiplayer would be sick. Something like that to drum up interest in the franchise and possibly get a sequel!
Bro this is my favorite game, played through all lost planet 2 on hard difficulty with my best friend, even with the terrible small split screen mode. Lost planet 3 the map was small in retrospect and it bugged me in spots when I first played it but the graphics are nice I suppose. I still wish legos for lost planet existed the closet thing to them is Mechaframe.
@@SinnerMann bro we need a firefight mode, and the nuke mech in campaign. I like lost planet 3 for the designs and graphics like the crab fight or those tigers. Lost planet 2 had the most unique original mech designs I have ever seen. All mech games are just the basic anime shape like armor core, or hawken or titanfall. I love the GTF-11 and Hardballer, also that jump mech from lost planet 1. Lp2 had the arcade feature and no micro transactions just a complete story. I didn’t like 2 things, the split screen setup and the fact that they don’t have eye lids or or move their mouths or blink
@@SinnerMann also bro, I have always wanted to see lost planet 2 in first person like the mechs and guns etc. cause that would have been epic. And lost planet 3 the 1st mech was dope, but I never got to try out the multiplayer sadly
@@Deathstroke-bs8gx I didn’t really care for 3, story wasn’t my cup of tea and I enjoyed the faction stories from 2. Definitely would be sick to have first person especially in horror based missions
Holy shit, thank you for unlocking a million forgotten core memories. When I got my 360 back when I was 14, I didn't actually have any money for games or XBL so I just played the Lost Planet 2 multiplayer demo on my XBL 3 month trial that came with the console. Those were some good times.
I love this game. 20/10. The ending feels like the best way to end a game just multiple factions fighting in their own way to clear the road for the main team to breakthrough and kill the beats. The ending with Everyone looking at the ocean of energy that basically heals them all and the monsters seemingly not attacking anyone anymore. The best ending in any game.
Ok so I recently beat the game again and yep still good. One thing I will say is that unless you unlock good guns you can't do hard as you are not good enough to deal with the bs like getting knocked down and then shot again. With friends it is fun but the ones i play with are like gods compared to me. This i feel is the best at the first episode and the last due to how fun it gets. The end feels like endgame of sorts as every faction is there helping you out clearing a path to the boss and about that boss. I just noticed there are only two checkpoints in that last area but both lead from the two entrances you can take to arrive to the area. If they did continue the game from here it should have been one with maybe new akirds in mind? i say this as the last one we see is not like any we see in the games as if the new thermal energy created new variants. One last thing is that I forgot about those vs akird or sentries as the game calls them as I feel being able to control those creatures would be cool for a third game.
Yeah and wished if there was a good 3rd game they don't use snow a lot as if feel the warmer weather works better mainly cause I can see. I have the 3rd game somewhere so I may see just how bad it actually is.
I played through Lost planet 1 and 2 back to back a while back (Not 3 'cause there were changes to the formula that I honestly hated, I actively refuse to even touch that game, and fortunately my pc can't run it either.) and I loved them both, definitively on my top ten favorite games of all time. Though, I had already played LP2, I was simply returning to experience it a third time, while it was my first time playing LP1. These games scratch nearly every itch when it comes to what I love: massive and heavy weapons, incredible weapon variety, mechs as vehicles-type mechanic, movement mechanics (grappling hook), giant creatures, a general sense of danger, massive and interesting maps (specially LP2). There is nothing that would make me happier than someone bringing the Lost Planet franchise back from the grave or creating a similar franchise with the same vibes and mechanics.
I’d love a return to this franchise Drak, would be sick to have mission based multiplayer in the remake as well as the pvp too. Would be honestly great!
Two months late, but you mentioned Helldivers so I had to ask this. Is it me, or do the stock assault rifle and recoiless launcher sound very similar to the rifle and rocket launcher in LP? I can't be the only one who recognized those sounds XD Anyhow, this was a trip down memory lane for me brother, great vid.
Amazing games. I know they screw up the third one, but they were so cool, fun to play and had great lore. I don't understand how this never got picked up and taken further.
Yeah the third one should of been bigger and crazier battles with awesome game designs like the second one. Definitely would be cool to see the story head towards the factions slowly going towards peace but gets interrupted by the the main new force of Nevec
@@SinnerMann indeed! It’s also surprising how the systems in these games are not used more in other games as well. Using mechs on the go, using their huge weapons on foot, or just switching them on the mechs, the fluid grapple/arpoon thing, the snow and cold actually being mechanics that affect gameplay. Wish game development would have continued in this still experimental way. Everything feels so similar in AAA games today.
The more I played Helldivers 2, the more I missed Lost Planet 2. I felt like Lost Planet 2 was a better adaptation of Starship Trooper without too much american satire jokes. Gameplay is king for me and I felt like 3rd person pve shooter peaked with Lost Planet 2 + Vanquish (Platinum Studio).
