Manuka honey is super effective. You can get it in Costco but it's not as powerful as some but even that from Costco is very effective. I have always had a cold disappear in a day with that.
Manuka isn’t that much harder to produce than other honeys because the flowers aren’t particularly rare where they are native, the actual main contributors to its high cost is land constraints due to how protected New Zealand’s lands are and high demand of it from people who convince themselves that a substance that is half sugar is healthy.
Show me another country that produces the same Manuka species as New Zealand? And don't say Australia because their tree is a different species but they still use the "Manuka" branding.
@@_.Marz._ believe it or not new zealend tea trees are fairly popular garden trees in other countries because they have nice white flowers, a moderately long bloom, and the capability to adapt to many environments because they are a type of Myrtle. the problem is that the use of the term manuka honey has strict classifications because of its use as a health substance, for that reason it’s not legally allowed to be called manuka honey unless it comes from new zealend, same type of tree or not.
@@isnorttannerite539 Check again. Last year, Australia was given the rights by the Intellectual Property Office of NZ (yes I know...how tragic that it was NZ's own office that ruled in favour of Australia), allowing Australia to use the term "Manuka" for marketing purposes...much to the obvious dismay of NZ'ers. Also, recent studies show that the species of Manuka in NZ, has major biological variations, compared to that of the Australian Myrtle equivalent. Around 500 tree samples from both NZ and Oz were analysed. These genetic differences can play a huge role in the overall taste, quality and more importantly, it's beneficial properties. Finally, the term "Manuka" is a Māori word and for marketing (and moral) purposes, really should've stayed exclusively in NZ. Unfortunately, that wasn't to be the case.
In the netherlands we can buy 250ml of 240mgo monofloral honey for €10 with discount from a big company named: lucovitaal, is that possible for the price?
I used Samu Manuka's 850 mgo/20 UMF and took a tsp in the morning and evening when I was sick and it healed my sore throat within a day! So worth the splurge.
Don’t buy this crap. It has a bunch of glyphosate.😂😂😂 pretty much eating pesticide honey. You’re better off buying the cheapest honey filtered with nothing but sugar😂😂😂
the tree is native to Australia too , and apparently have even more varieties as in NZ , amount of different varieties combined with warmer climate produce better quality MGO honey from AU
I'm an Aussie and Australia has Manuka but it's not as plentiful as is in Nz. The climate and geography in Nz plays a crucial role in the plants health and vitality being located in mounranous terrain. Nz Manuka plant reates a better tasting more robust flavour with the best MGO and health benefits which is scientifically proven and acknowledged. We already stone the Pav lets not steal this one from them as well 😂
It's a scientifically different species. The New Zealand Manuka is DIFFERENT to the Australian....and besides, the term "Manuka" is a native term in NZ. Australia borrowed the "Manuka" branding. It's NOT genuine Manuka honey.
The Manuka tree in NZ and the Australian tree are scientifically different species which can ultimately alter the taste and overall benefits. The term "Manuka" is also native to NZ....Australia are now using the term for marketing purposes. New Zealand Manuka hands down.
