I think you were a little harsh on artera. When you are 2-1 up against city away playing with 10 men you just have to go hyper defensive. The first half could've been better though.
My issue isn't the shape necessarily. Of course you sit deep and compact, that's a given. But taking Saka off left em with very little they could use to break out from defence and get up the pitch to take some of the pressure off. They invited so much pressure right from the start of the 2nd, they were always going to tire out, but give City something to worry about too
@@Zedders I mean, defensively we were literally unbreakable, the gaps started appearing when timber, calafiori, martinelli etc came off for kiwior, mls, etc. we definetly would've held them off and won that game but it's unfortunate
No I agree and as I said in the video i completely understand why Arteta did what he did, I just have a different way of looking at what could have been best for at least the first 20/25 mins of the 2nd half
