Wow... We have something very similar in the Caribbean, these are a thicker version of our Johnny Cakes sans the spices, gonna give it a go! You can try ours too!

“I’m not sure how many weeks…” Yeah, they don’t look like they’d last long enough to find out. Lol Do you think this would work with a good gluten-free flour blend, or is the gluten production fairly important, here? They remind me a bit of bakes, which you can make gluten free without sacrificing a whole lot. If these could be made gluten free, then they’d REALLY be the ultimate pop-in snack. I’m half-tempted to try it right now… Great channel. I love your humour. Lol
