The funny thing is you are describing those things as additions when I would argue Dalot does all of those things well (the fact he won player of the year speaks volume). He wasn't brought in because no one else does it, rather to keep the same standard and playing style whether it's him or Dalot playing as AWB doesn't offer the same style. But good signing I think, hope he does well.

People who say mazraoui isnt good defensively havent seen him play. Mazraoui locked up saka, ddembele and even Garnacho last season. By lock up I mean the guy is aggressive...intercepting, physical etc such that they do nothing... mazraoui is really really good...I think if he remains fit it will be dalot to suffer. Dalot got shook by doku and then oscar Bob...dalots 1v1 defending is very shakey

A couple of additional qualities : 1) he has one of the best football IQs out there, that’s why he’s so tactically versatile 2) he fits right in all dressing rooms - gets along with everyone. He’s however unlikely to be happy on the bench, do don’t know what the plan is..

When we look back at the end of the season, on of my bold predictions is that Mazraoui will be acclaimed as our most impactful signing. His versatility across all phases, especially in the 1st and 2nd will be invaluable to us. He's coming at a time where Dalot has cemented his quality as a RB, as with Amad now coming to life as a RW; both will benefit massively from that. I also think if he features as a LB, Rashford could also reap rewards with his presence. There's going to be a noticeable balance Mazraoui brings to this United side I'm excited about. Hopefully he stays fit.

Both de Ligt and Maz are players I would have loved to see stay at Bayern. Quality signings at a good price.

Likely he will be leftback with Dalot around and the only proper left back we have not injured is Harry Amass. Of course, Martinez can play there too.

Anyone who suggest that Dalot should start over Mazraoui better just give up watching football. Mazraoui is miles ahead of Dalot in every aspect. If he is a French player instead of Moroccon, his price tag would have been easily north of 30M.
