Hate to have missed this one. I sleep until 8am these days. I still believe that only one team’s design team seems to have been successful at cracking the code of the modern downforce systems. I believe most people who are interested in thinking this out would want to be aware of every aero design specialist’s ideas. Mercedes is only one team of 19 that don’t seem to understand the formula. Ive said this a few times. I truly believe the FIA tried to do too many things at the same time. Cost cap, new packaging etc. i wish they would have left the formula alone (back in 2021), introduced the cost cap, introduced the changes & allow all the teams 2 extra years and every team 2 x the wind tunnel time to develop the current car. Instead, everything was rushed & teams like Williams can’t even make parts quick enough. My opinion.

At that time there were no idications Max could leave Red Bull before the end of his contract. In hindsight we all know what the best thing to do was. Maybe when Charles doesnt perform better and more consistent the next 1,5 year they might replace him with Max and we will get a Max vs Lewis in a red car in 2026, potentially being the last season of Lewis riding into the sunset, beaten yet again by Max... 😉
Toto better focus on improvements for 2025... No quick moves anymore..LH is out anyway..they better look at 2025 to get a good driver and shows they do everything towards 2025 and dont waste it to 2024. When it comes in 2024 its nice suprise.

Jordan is a bad comparison. As a basketball lover it's kind of offensive. Jordan and Max's ability to want to destroy opponents is not unique to athletes. What made Jordan special was that he wanted his opponents at their best so that he could always claim to be the best when he dominated the best. Max has stared he doesn't want that. That doesn't take from Max, but there are hundreds of thousands of athletes, why did you pick the greatest competitor of all time? You aren't lazy, but seems lazy. 7 world championships seem to make you not know how to handle being in the deep waters. In 2022 Alonso said “this guy only knows how to drive in the front” referring to Lewis struggling in traffic. Similar theory.

The mistake was missing out on a generational talent, so not repeating that mistake would mean that he would stay focused on Antonelli since he has been mentioned to be the next Max. But he isnt, he is chasing Max which shows that there is no actual sensible policy behind it. Cause how will that work? It will mean George is going to be out sooner or later and then you have two generational talents fighting each other, how is that going to work? Horner is a much better teamboss and as I predicted we now see how Vasseur is fixing Ferrari and making sensible moves to bring them back to the front.
