It's exactly what I predict along with making the playoffs. The only teams with a realistic shot at beating Michigan are Ohio, Oregon and Texas. I guarantee Michigan beats one of them at the very least.
I think you gave a very fair and reasonable take on my Maize and Blue! I also predicted that we win 10 games but I don’t see us winning the conference or anything really crazy but anywhere from 9-10 is very much expected and for a down year, that’s still very good! Our defense will definitely be very good still as it was the past few seasons, but our offense does still have some questions that need answers. I still think Michigan will be very good and very fun to watch, he’ll I’m going to the Washington game in person, and I think we have a shot of making the 12 team playoff! Excellent video, Scott! If Michigan has at least a decent qb they’re not losing more than 2 games. That defense is so loaded and the offense is loaded pretty much everywhere except maybe quarterback.
I think Michigan can go undefeated again. Here's why....that game against Texas is gonna be a statement game. Michigan is looking to beat them to send a message. Then, I think while Ohio State literally recruited Thanos to their roster, the momentum shifted, so it's gonna be mental and Michigan just refuses to lose to them going forward. If their program goes the way I think it does, they will be gearing up for Columbus. IF they do lose, it'll be Texas or Oregon.
OSU will lose because of Ryan Day. Always gets a lot more 5 star athletes. You will be embarrassed when Michigan crushes OSU. It is your fault for making bad picks. I mean, what are you doing as far as analyzing games if you just pick the favorites? You think HC Moore won't be motivated and motivating to win? It will be other worldly as far at that goes.

10-2 is reasonable, but I would love to see us march through the field one more time as everyone in the country says it will never be. Many might be very surprised. If we beat Texas and Oklahoma, I actually think we have a good shot at the team down south, too. We would have the mental edge for sure, with nothing to lose, and everything to win.
As a Michigan fan I’ll say that your prediction is pretty fair given the circumstances. However, I just don’t see a way that Texas beats Michigan. We don’t lose at home with fans in the stands, and Texas’s defense is really bad. We’re gonna be able to run the ball down their throats with pretty much no issue. Now the Ohio State pick, while I don’t like having to say it, I agree with it. The only way OSU loses that game is if we get another Ryan Say masterclass of completely mismanaging the game

Jyaire hill is expected to start opposite will johnson not aamir hall and zeke berry is expected to start at nickel. also I think orji is the starter as there are recent reports stating he has separated himself from the rest of the pack and has made big strides as a passer which is saying a lot since he has to go against the best defense in the country every day. If the pass game is similar to how it was in 2021 with cade mcnamara along with the added dimension of orji in the run game, michigan goes 11-1 if not, they go 9-3 so I see a 9-3 floor and 12-0 ceiling and my prediction is 11-1 id the qb play is good and 10-2 if it's average

A healthy Michigan probably makes the playoffs. I wouldn't favor them over Texas or OSU, but it's not like "there's no way in heck" they win at least one. OSU will be better, but it's gambler's fallacy to assume winning this year is significantly different than the odds last year just because it would be the fourth in a row. 10 wins feels most likely. They have a reasonable shot at winning one of those two tough matchups, but they also have a tougher schedule than most, so that balances out in my mind.
Remember & enjoy the 2023 Michigan football team & national championship. You may not see it again. Enjoy the 2024 Michigan football team. What ever happens, I expect we will see some very entertaining games this season. We might get some surprises. Some good. Some bad.
Just watched the guys over at The Cover 3 podcast and they’re pretty high on Michigan. Their D is supposedly going to be a beast and I guess Alex Orji is the QB that is beginning to separate himself from the rest. I was definitely one of those doubters about Michigan last year because you are right, they literally played no one. I thought Washington could beat anyone last year and even though the NT game was close on the scoreboard till mid 4th quarter, Michigan pretty much dominated Washington. I could make all the excuses that Penix was off and Dillon Johnson was really hurt, but the truth is…that defense was stifling and there O line was too much.
Every good to great Michigan team (even with elite D’s and run game) had at least an Hon Mention All B1G QB “managing” or more the offense. Campbell needs to really earn his pay!

I also find it funny how people with such little knowledge on how an offense works thinks that having a few signs is some incredible advantage. Scouting is still legal in the NFL and was only banned in college due to some teams not having the same funds to do it as other's. I dont think michigan is getting much respect nationally. the defense still might be the best in college football and that should keep michigan in any game this year. the offensive line will need to be rebuilt but Sherrone Moore has proven himself to be one of the best Oline coaches in the game so it comes down to qp play to decide if Michigan will compete for a big10 title or go 10 and 2
All Orji has to do is not turn the ball over. We don't rely on our QB as much as other teams. The fact that he's basically a 2nd running back out there will be a nice bonus though.
lmao as a penn state fan I look at that schedule and actually get more nervous seeing the damn Indiana's, Northwestern's, Minnesota's, Illinois's, then I do seeing the Texas's, USC's, Oregon's Ohio States's haha. Cause even though those first four teams are dogshits usually, those teams have track records of coming outta nowhere and beating your high ranked team in any given year. As a Michigan fan, this is a realistic prediction. I’d love to see Michigan beat Texas and Ohio state, and while I think it’s certainly possible, I doubt it will happen.

People really need to look at Texas and ask why they are being viewed as an elite team. Defense was way over hyped last year and they lost the two reasons they were even good on that side. They are replacing every starting WR with guys brand new to the team. They lost their starting RB, then the presumed starter this year to an injury unfortunately. Lost starting TE And I'm sorry Ewers and Sark have neither proved they can win against an elite team when it matters. Michigan has the clear edge in this game in my opinion an elite defense to counter the Texas offense which will still be figuring itself out And on the other side while Michigan is also figuring stuff out everyone knows they will still have a strong physical and at least solid Oline great RBs and elite TEs with to go against a Texas defense that will likely be weakest right in the middle. Plus it's Michigan at home where they have not lost a true home game (2020 with no fans excluded) to anyone not named MSU or OSU since 2014. I might be the minority but I think this matchup suits Michigan actually. However I do have Michigan at 10-2 as well but can see them hitting 11-1 or even 12-0 as I think both Oregon and OSU are closer matchups by the end of the year then people think

Michigan hasn't lost at the big house in front of fans in 5 years and texas' weakness on defense plays right into michigan's strength on offense while on the other side of the ball michigan has the secondary to match up with their receivers and the best dline in the country to stop the run. While at this moment since we don't know much about the qb id still pick texas, id be more surprised if texas blows michigan out than if michigan blows texas out just considering the positional matchups
There are definitely scenarios where this is similar to 2017 & 2020. However, I think they have 3-4 high end guys at their position offensively (Don, Loveland, Bredeson, Priebe) this year vs none either of those two years. And 2020 had a terribly thin defense with too many walk-ons.
Bro michigan will be better this year without Jim due to the talent replacing the loses. Orji is better then Mccarthy. Donavan had a lot of issues mentally but I also like him better then Corum. Are defense top 5 Loveland is a beast are o line will be great as well this year and arguably the best corner in the nation. Washington without penix will go down to us texas will go down to us oregon will be a little fight but go down and ohio state don't have what it takes even in the shoe to take us we will have a better chance of going undefeated again this year then you have of hitting puberty this year
