@@therandomlist8084basically, first all the losses Zomato made was borne by the investors/VCs of Zomato, but even they got an exit via the IPO, where they sold the heavy loss making asset (Zomato) to the retail investors and got a huge 9000 crore return from the IPO. So effectively all the loss was shifted from the institutional investors to retail investors of Zomato.

While the other commenter mentioned how you have to be 35ish to be a millennial. That's completely not true you can be anywhere between 23 years to 42 years of age.

Extremely good discussion. However, remember that even in such trashy times, startups with positive unit economics will remain as good as gold. Startups with low, but positive yield upto 5% will effectively end up absorbing the insanely high liquidity floating around in about 30-40 years and secure a bit of future for Millinneals.

Phew that was a lot to digest. Was wondering about what you mentioned about wealth transfer from the richest generation to the poorest generation - although the generations are different isn't crypto undemocratic to some level as well? How do you think the wealth spread is in the crypto world? Isn't it just two peaks and a valley in the middle?
But in what way is crypto better than stocks? Stocks represent a working company, which is generating wealth, and then profit it's investors, it is something which is actually running your soceity. But crypto is largely a currency, it has no inherent value, unlike stocks, so on what grounds do you beleive that crypto is so good?
You might wanna read up a little more about the applications of block chain, it goes much beyond acting just like a currency - there are applications, communities and full fledged organisations being built on top of the tech, that's where the value comes in.
@@sparshailawadi7129 yeah, but many of those communities are largely based on money transfer and haven't gotten very big despite cyptos existing for more than 10 years, and the services are either a gimmick(ex:NFTs) or are not very important to development of soceity as a whole, they provide nothing much of value to soceity, they won't make steel or give you internet or ship your items across the globe
I am not an expert but i will tell you why did the crypto come into existence . Crypto came into existence as a way of a "democratic currency" tbh they hated how the govt can just decide to print truckloads of money and devalue our money due to inflation . In order to prevent this crypto came into being but that said crypto too is maximum held by whales so like even they pump or dump which kinda negates the whole thing 😂😂
There are a few errors here. First industrial output and productivity were major factors to support startups. It would have never become an MLM scheme had society only invested in startups that increase industrial profitability, output and last productivity for minimal time and effort which is what companies like Google, Microsoft, GE, Samsung, IBM, SAP and all are trying to do. Where are the startups which were expected to be the next GAFAM(Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft) or the next Bell Labs or GE or Siemens or Samsung? Where is the start-up in Nuclear Power, AI, in 3d Printing, Quantum Computing, Space Tech? All I see is Tesla, Neuralink, OpenAI while Google is close to Quantum Supremacy, Facebook is getting to AI peak, 3d printing is being invested in by Amazon, Tesla and Samsung and lastly, I don't see anything in nuclear power.
I think the analysis by Akshay is quite flawed and one sided. Akshay sees the hours required for per unit of S&P but doesnt see the number times (of hourly wage) EPS you get for per unit of S&P. He is correct you have to work 200hrs to own 1 unit of S&P vs less than 30hrs earlier. But per unit of S&P will now give you 9x of your hourly wage in EPS vs 2x earlier. Happy to share the chart and data.
You are probably right. But EPS doesnt actually contribute to the increase of the wealth of its investors, its only one of the many indicators of the profitability and valuation of the company. What my point here is, EPS might have increased, but the YoY returns for long term from these index have always stayed somewhere around 10%. Whereas wage rates have not increased proportionately, making S&P inevitably costlier in terms of working hours required.
Finally. This is the most honest explationation of crypto. That it's a transfer from one ponzi scheme to another. But er, if you, like me, are priced out of the crypto party and have 0 SPDR.. ngmi 😢😢
