@@Mick_Unfiltered you can’t tell me billionaires aren’t smart. Sure there are more intelligent (book smart) people out there in the world who don’t have a billion or even a million dollars but it takes a certain type of smart and intelligence thats very rare to become a billionaire along with other personality traits like being determined and disciplined. Alot of billionaires became smarter the more they developed because experience and knowledge often beats intelligence
You have the UAE too. Best have a skill set in med, tech, finance, trade, or freelancer. Have some friends who went over there and refuse to come back to the states

It wasn't ever based on freedom, the second the us won the war against Britain, using the freedom of no taxation as their motivation, they started taxing everyone
America don't actually have FREEDOM. It's just an illusion. Popular votes don't even matter. Winner is the one who can get a deal with most political sides. It's all about lobbying. Not really people's power. And when people try to really criticize or leak the government's big mistake, they eventually end up being dead for some reasons. We think we have freedom. No, we don't.
Americans see this and say to themself "tax bad", but actually Monaco just leeches the wealth out of other countries into itself. In countries that properly function, taxes serve the people
@@Techno_Avatar Bruh, I don't form my beliefs to whitewash myself or my country. I know we have problems. We can adore those, who manage better than we do)
True. Other countries have citizens, not customers. Monaco is taking advantage of it's unattractiveness for the lower classes, making it exclusive for the rich where they can spend big in exchange for no taxes.
This is how the rich continue to keep their wealth. Whilst were arguing about men in dresses reading books to kids in schools or we're up in arms about whatever colour this week's school shooter is in America, the people that are going to Monaco to avoid paying tax get richer and richer and richer.
There's plenty of countries where rich people are paying a lot of taxes. However, the reason why the rich get richer is because assets grow their money, which they then use to buy things they want. Whereas middle/lower class people don't have assets, and they tend to spend their money on things that remove money from their pocket. Not only that, you always hear from middle class people "I'm not going to give my kids any of my money!" - Well, there's the first issue, generational wealth won't be kept in the family.
That is complete bull, you can't buy citizenship here. After 10 years of permanent residency and impeccable standing, you can apply for citizenship, no matter how rich you are.
@@_jpg there is no "permanent residency" in Monaco. Each renewal must be approved, which happens every year at the beginning and then across extended periods thereafter.
Well the UAE Saudi qatar and Kuwait also just have enough oil income to fund the country especially with their heavy reliance on modern day slavery, monoco works bc of its size yes, and is funded almost entirely by its marina and casino. But not the gulf states they dont need taxes bc of oil they are plenty large.
Il est certain que ce sont toujours les pauvres qui payent les impôts, vont faire la guerre pour des raisons financières qui concernent les marchands des armes et les politiciens.
What many here in the comments don’t realise that the easiest way to become a millionaire is starting out as billionaire. You don’t get wealthy because of hard work or living in a place that attracts rich people. You become wealthy because you either inherit wealth or you scheme and plot combined with a lot of luck.
Ahhhh no. If you look at hundreds of years ago the families of those people were very poor, because almost everyone was very poor to the point of being starving to death
@@quuaaarrrk8056 The modern-age inequality already started with an absurd huge inequality level that always existed for millennials, and after the "evil capitalism" things have become fantasticatly better for the first time in history.
@@quuaaarrrk8056people aren’t wealthy because they inherit money. People are wealthy because they understand what it means to create wealth. Most generations don’t keep wealth. It fades out overtime. The rich today are not the same people who were rich years ago. It changes overtime. This is why you see some poor people win loads of money and become poor very quickly. And the opposite where rich become poor overtime due to poor decisions and not having those same skills that acquired the wealth in the first place.
Inheritance tax really is a pile of bs, my mom had to pay tax her whole life for every product she bought, every salary she got and every year in May Wealth tax. When she died she had to pay of any debts, her funeral which is taxed and what was left after that for me and my sister, the government took a slice of that too. It's literally snatching cash out of a dead womens hands.
Yeah the government's snatching money out of a dead woman's hands. She doesn't need the money. She's dead. You want some money? Go earn it yourself instead of expecting a handout from your dead mum.
If this is America you don't have to pay the bills once the person dies actually. Just tell em they died. We didn't pay the bills when our family member died.
We dont forget, we just know Monaco isnt favoured with Americans for that exact reason you just stated + different tax laws in general. As a european, Monaco is one of the easier options since its so close
@@TarzanTFT Right, but this guy said Americans have to pay tax wherever they are. This isn’t true, a lot of wealthy individuals here clean their money in the bahamas or st kitts and nevis. A lot of it has to do with tax treaties and proximity to us. Monaco is definitely cool, I was just pointing out that what he said wasn’t fully correct.
@@dillanfiveash Oh right, i hadnt questioned that part and took it for granted XD and thought this was common knowledge. Missed that part on my first read
That's is of course complete BS. Finland only has unlimited tax liability as long as long as one is resident in Finland. After a Finn leaves Finland, the 3 year rule applies, after which they are categorized as a tax nonResident, and only pay tax in Finland on income earned in Finland, but nowhere else. I.e. Finns who move to Monaco will no longer be taxed on any income earned outside of Finland after 3 years.
Monaco is the holy grail of real estate imo, properties start at €1.2mil, and all of them are tiny apartments, but the benefits of living in Monaco are crazy for self employed people, I wish I could afford real estate there, hopefully I'll one day be able to save up that much.
Murray Rothbard - "Taxation is theft, purely and simply even though it is theft on a grand and colossal scale which no acknowledged criminals could hope to match. It is a compulsory seizure of the property of the State’s inhabitants, or subjects."
@@erwancalvez4322 because i haven't heard about it in my country. So it's weird. Imagine you have to pay "pee and poo tax"....like wtf is pee and poo have to do with tax. So it's weird. Same energy with inheritance tax
No, in fact it's one of the most reasonable taxes. I mean, why would you think it's ok to tax the sweat of my brow (labor tax) or the bread I need to live (VAT/sales tax) but it's not acceptable to tax the money that other people made (my relatives). In a truly liberal society, inheritance must be taxed higher than other taxes, since it's income that is not earned by my efforts, but by the pure lottery of being born in a family of wealth. Being a single children of a family of moderate means, I know I'll get a moderate amount of inheritance. But I'd much prefer to not be taxed as much on my wage or my groceries, and return to the state some of my family wealth.
The lack of consideration for collective matters is unbelievable 😅 spoiler the folks who hide their fortune in tax heaven still use public service in country they evaded their money from.
That's the place where you can go to use all that money you took from exploiting your country's workforce and consumer base (with abusive pricing) and not worry about contributing it back through taxes
All cities in North America including Canada should adopt Monaco and Switzerland financial systems. Taxes were introduced to relaunch the economy after the 2nd world war. But was promised to be only "temporary". Go figure! 😡
No they were created in 1913 Actually ih n 1862 ish Lincoln's idea for the civil war but only last a couple years then taxes went away for 60 years for everyone except rich and it was 1-3% Total very low!! Then went away again until ww1 But in 1913 and 1862 ish it was only rich was paying!! Even 90 years ago it was very low !!! No sales tax no property tax no state tax jus a couple percent for the fed ..the federal reserve was created same year irs was 1913
Taxes have existed since the very beginning of history. From a historical standpoint, taxes are lower than ever and relative to the quality of life 90% of us enjoy the rich the middle class and the poor should be taxed more
No matter what happens with tax regulations, the more the government tries to push taxes, the least the rich will pay and the more the poor will pay. The rich will just go somewhere like here to avoid it
Wrong! The rich will pay or lose their money. Nice try. It's clear you have heard about taxes aimed at the rich. If countries start putting regulations that prohibit rich people from doing business or earning money if they don't pay taxes....this goes away. Monaco is in a bad situation.
Honestly other countries makes it so hard for me to want to like America. Like I keep trying to give us a chance but the corrupted politicians and business owners make it so hard
@@ligmaballs4874 I don't trust them at all (either party). But I also recognize that same government built the best country in the world using those tax dollars. How long do you think America will last once they can no longer fund our military, pay our soldiers, law enforcement, etc?
As much as I hate taxes in general, it seems ridiculous that our world permits only the richest to avoid a fee levied by every country unto its citizens. As an American, I feel strangely good that our wealthy can’t avoid taxation completely by moving to another country
It’s more telling about the people’s character than anything. You’re willing to relocate just to get out of paying taxes aka contributing to your society that created the ability for you to have wealth in the first place? Just shows why people revolt, ridiculous behavior is met with ridiculous behavior
So why would you hate taxes? If the super wealthy had to pay their dues, and didn't have loop holes, are you even aware how much healthcare and education you could afford? As a European, with one of the highest tax rates, I've never hated tax, other than it sucks, but I love that my mother can go to the hospital care free, my nieces can get some of the best education free and even get oayed for it. Paying for something always sucks, everybody wants freeebies, but in actually, the thing you hate, is it just not, knowing you're getting fucked while the super rich are the ones fucking you?
Disgusting. "It's a tax holiday, for the wealthy" yeah that's great. The money they should be paying to support the lives of their workers they just get to not pay and instead buy another Ferrari.
I feel like you don't quite understand what Monaco is, lol. The reason why people don't criticise Monaco for being a tax haven is because it's not even viewed the same way other countries are. Monaco is basically if Mar-a-lago became a country. If you were lucky enough to be born in Monaco, chances are you're pretty damn rich anyway. You're treating Monaco like it's 19th century Russia or some shit.
@@angryinternetperson6629 fuck Monaco. I'm treating it like they're welcoming rich people from around the world to ignore their tax responsibility to the countries they made that money in, because that's what was said in the many videos I keep seing about Monaco.

That's why private industry is better everyone pays less taxes and rich people might stay and contribute to the smaller things instead of packing and going because they're being taxed 80 percent
@@atiqurrahmanfahim9072 without tax heavens the capital owners would still conduct business, just because they would have thinner profit margins doesn't mean they'd be better off closing the business all together; remember, it's important, it's not some grandma from your local bakery, barely keeping business afloat who utilises tax heavens; it's big multinational corpos which gain huge advantage over local small enterprises who do that, and that small bakery owner is essentially subsidising the richest, tax heavens are just evil
Those who know, know. Monaco gets that’s money upfront when you move there. There are economic barriers to entry for anyone that wants to become permanent resident. As for transferring wealth basically tax free in America, it’s easier than you think. Establish a trust. Knowledge is power.
Well, you obviously do not know then. The "economic" barriers for example do not apply to people employed by MC registered companies. So anyone who works here (banking, yachting to name a few) will get residency without the requirement of a minimum bank balance.
People really don't understand Monaco... It's nto that taxes are low, they are quite hefty actually. The thing is, the richer you are, the less these taxes matter, because the absolute numbers you're paying are quickly recovered
This is such an incredibly dumb comment it's laughable. Inheritance tax is a massive deal to wealthy people, and so are the various wealth taxes that differ by country. Income tax is usually less of an issue because the very rich don't get most of their money as a salary. It has nothing to do with money being "quickly recovered" and that's not even remotely true either.
Such tax havens are crucial to governments who tax at very high rates. They can squeeze every penny out of working people but the actually wealthy can always get around them
That's why i want the government paying for as little as possible. The rich will stay because taxes are reasonable and if you spend it right you don't end up with 30 trillion in debt
As an American, I am aware that the US has had significant problems throughout it’s history. However I find the hypocrisy of many Europeans to be quite interesting. I can understand their clear hatred for the American government, but I have never understood why there is so much hatred for your average citizen living in America.
Jealousy in knowing if this country got its shit together that it would be better than any European country and it takes them a Union of more than 20 countries to even compare to the us
Because our citizenry are belligerent, self-serving extremists that vote in an inept government which leads the entire west, and the best they can do is huff copium and pretend like we aren't the ones who lead the world

At this point with all the smug Europeans I would only become president just to withdraw every military asset we had and just stop all economic relations with them just to see how they enjoy life when their economies go down on top of having to spend a lot more on military 😊
the american economy depends more on europeans than europeans on america, all the american companies have their research and development facilities in Europe

the most draining thing about tax is not the amount they take. it's the different variety of taxes you encounter in every corner. sometimes the tax is ridiculous and you feel scammed and you feel like an idiot.
