Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. a racing game with endless fun. as of the making of this video, this game is now nine years old (when counting the Wii U iteration). talk about crazy!
over the past couple years, i've played the game on and off, but with the advent of new DLC being added, i've been devoting more of my time than ever into Mario Kart; and lately, i've playing a lot of toadette! she's one of my favorite characters in the mario franchise, and i find it incredibly fun to main her in mario kart despite being a boy. her cute appearance and energetic behavior always make it incredibly fun both to play as her and interact with her in other games. she may have debuted in double dash as merely a feminine recolor of Toad, but she's become wayyy more than that over the course of her many appearances throughout the Mario franchise. want to find out why I main toadette in the first, and what qualities she reveals about me as a person? watch the video to find out more!

Nice video! As a Shy Guy / Toadette main player, I like using characters that feel easy to control, like having good handling for example. The top level Mario kart speedrunners and competitive clan war players (just to name a few) often make it seem critical to use meta combinations, whereas competitive players, like myself, like to use characters that stand out from the rest of the roster, whilst still feeling similar to the Mario theme :)

Since Petey Piranha is largely absent from the series, Daisy is my go-to Mario Kart player. I would play as Pauline but she’s not in Mario Kart 8… yet. I could be considered a simp, but I often pick the female characters when they’re the best option. I don’t discriminate when picking a character. Male, female, mushroom, plant, koopaling, I don’t really mind.

I love Toadette & im a boy aswell Toadette is one of my mains along with Daisy & Miis & in my opinion Toadette is honestly both Underrated & Overhated cause i do see a lot of hate on her some people even hate her cause they think she’s annoying (similar case to Daisy whos my number 1 most favorite from the Mario franchise Toadette is my 2nd favorite also yes i know a pretty stupid reason to hate the characters on) and despite she still appears in Mario games i wish they added more of Toadette instead of her being on a poster only & i also miss her as a playable character in Mario Party games

I have mained toadette for years. Starting even in Mario kart Wii, the reasoning makes sense. I think she’s perhaps the most adorable character of the roster. The tricks, voice lines, it’s like a kid who has no worries in the world. That’s what I like, the energy she gives, because it actually warms my heart sometimes the way she acts. Of course I also play DK and Yoshi, but yeah totally agree with you.

@@roboverse6234 EXACTLY why I mained the little guy. He's perfect for online "matches" where you want to have fun with the other person. Sometimes the other person would pick Pichu and we'd just crawl around on the Stage. Now that is just adorable.

I remember maining Toadette, along with Baby Peach and Male VIllager. Nowadays I only main Male Villager. But I tell you, if Pauline is in 8DX I'm gonna free myself from having only Male Villager as my main and expand my mains. I of course am still gonna pick Male Villager 90% of the time when Pauline eventually comes out, however.

Interesting. I also use lightweights, however I generally tend to use male characters, dunno, just like people like Toad or Koopa. Still, Toadette is a valid pick in my book.

Love seeing Toadette propaganda. And I think a good reason why many boys prefer female characters over male ones is because the females usually have more charming animations while the males are more boring (not always but it happens a lot for me)

Daisy was always my main in Mario Kart games and Peach with Daisy's alt costume was my main in the Super Smash Bros. games since the GameCube era. But when Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate came around, I found myself really liking another orange colored female character originating from a video game called "Splatoon". Ever since the release of Splatoon in 2015, I really came to love the Inkling girl design and came to find that she would eventually become my new main in both Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as her default orange Splatoon 1 design. I'm also a guy who gives power to the female characters in gaming!

As someone who has Rosalina as one of their favorite mario characters, and mains Lucina in smash bros, I can sadly relate. funny story, there was a game called "sonic & all star racing transformed", the light characters had the same issue. They are subotimical to say the least, even at this sonic game. But the character "amigo" is my favorite to watch.

So, you're a Toadette main? Welcome to the club! I have to agree on literally all of your points. You're even braver using inside drifters (which, unfortunately, aren't like what they are in Mario Kart Wii). I tend to use Toadette on the Cat Cruiser with the Cyber Slick tires and the Gold Glider. Sometimes I go Sport Bike and/or Jet Bike instead, but all are enjoyable to play. I'm a casual "play what you want" enjoyer. Playing Toadette is just my cup of tea (not that I drink tea, though). I even main her in Mario Kart Wii, too.

I've had inkling girl as my main since I got the game, even in splatoon I've been using inkling girl since the first game. I don't think it's weird, I just like the design over that of inkling boy, and surprisingly my friends don't really question it
