Why Nemesis is the Best Sword Aspect and How to Use It | Hades 

I wanted to pause and comment that the 'artemis is bad' discourse was really confusing to me when I was first starting out, back before I first found this channel and was loving but seriously struggling to get through the game. Artemis was my favourite because, while I didn't understand fully why it felt good, something was clicking with me for her plus who doesn't love crits, right? But then I stumbled upon a guide where someone was just trashing her and her boons, and I thought oh, maybe that's why I wasn't doing well? Bizzare take looking back on it, but someoen out there really disliked her I guess.

This aspect is insane I remember the day i picked Beowulf and tried my hardest to break my pb and failing miserably, and on the following day while playing casually with Nemesis i manage to get 10 minutes

This game is just so amazingly balanced. For the longest time I didn't play any artemis as I would also rock privileged status. Then I realized the damage you can on arty is easily comparable to other builds. As for hunters mark, it's one of the games best boons, but is almost worthless on the final hades fight. Just ridiculously well balanced.

I agree that nemesis is probably the best aspect... but Arthur, while not being as good, is the only sword aspect I have fun with. Otherwise I just feel like I could do better with the fists and the spear.

your videos are great, my main problem is that i know the names of almost none of the boons and stuff, i just say "artemis cast" or "putting doom on my attack" so i get lost sometimes

Hey man. Video idea. After all the hours of Hades you've played, maybe try out an online Hades quiz? UnsurpassableZ, a Stardew Valley player, does this sometimes with his videos. Would be a change of pace but still Hades-related. Would be especially fun if the quiz was very hard lol. I guarantee views.

Even as someone not very amazing at the game, I think picking Artemis for worst god is certainly a hot take. She and Athena are the only gods who I won't hesitate to take to fill in the god pool even when I'm running specific builds, since they offer boons that can help any run (pp, hunter's mark, Athena's dash, call, and death defiances for when things get desperate). Plus, pp and Athena's dash aren't requirements for Duo boons, so you can safely take them without worrying about messing up your offers.

I like running athena attack, artemis special, and aphrodite dash for nemesis. Gives me access to all the duos i need, and allows special to crit with arty. Passion dash is just there to unlock duos as i dislike using crush shot in non cast builds.

Maybe a cruel thrust run? 👀

with nemesis , duo from artemis and afrodite and big chop from hammer, you do around 900-1k damage every one crit chop at weakened enemies!

I wouldn't say artimis is the worst, not by any means. She has one of the best boss killing dashes and with no investment other than the right hammer on some weapons has some of the best outright dps in the game... and THE best dps if you get lucky with chaos. In my experience people often say zeus and ares are the worst(because they don't scale well), but they can both become one of the best, you just need ALOT of zeus or ares to make it good.

just found your channel been getting back into hades as of late finally beat my second run a few days ago and have been on a tear with succesful runs but i dont actually know how to build idk whats good outside of athena dash ive been trying to find guide videos but ive been having a hard time locating them on your channel espcially for gilgamesh/fist in gneral (theyre my favorite weaons to run)

I dunno about swords in this game, if they dealt more damage, then maybe, but most of the time you deal less and you need to risk getting hit

isnt the dps higher by getting aphro Attack and getting the artemis/aphro duo boon?

I kinda messed up after I beat this game. When you beat it once youre probably still about average skill level. But I just kept using the base form of Fists of Zagreus combined with the Lambent Plume and tried to get as much dodge chance as possible every single time. So I am God awful at dodging in this game.

Is there a way to lower the difficulty or something? I can't understand how you manage to kill everything so fast. In my game, it's not possible no matter what I try. Are there easier versions of this game or something? What am I missing? For reference I play on the nintendo switch......

No joke, my fastest escape (in under 60 attempts with 8 escapes thus far) was with Nemesis and about 6 minutes faster than any other clear I’ve had. Nevermind it was on 0 heat; I’ve only gotten to 2

People know what they're trying to ask. Answers like "Any weapon" are disingenuous, because you know that's objectively not true. Sure any weapon can clear, but not everyone is a tryhard trying to make everything viable.

Re: Artemis sucks Clearly she doesn't, but I do think she is the least interesting. The mechanical edge she gives can be huge, but it doesn't feel as good as a status effect.
