As a 41 year old dad and sneaker head, I’m a huge fan of what NB is doing. I feel like they’re breathing fresh air into a market that’s over saturated with repetitive releases. Another awesome video guys!!!!
Accessibility, amazing quality, and dope collabs is how NB is the best brand now. The amount of readily-available fire GR colorways is why I love the brand so much. The fact that they never seem to miss when it comes to collabs is the cherry on top. So hyped for the 990v6 and I'm gonna have a hard time making my top 10 NB of 2021 video!
I've been employed by NB since 2019, and the growth of the company has gone into another realm! I'm so proud of what we've been able to do especially as a privately owned company too. Excited for the future and I can't see myself working for any other athletic brand, New Balance is truly one of a kind!
I'm a former basketball shoe and apparel designer and reached out to Patrick Cassidy...but, haven't heard anything since i submitted my work. Would love to work with you guys!!
I’ve only recently got into NB, first purchase was a pair of 327’s and have just pulled the trigger on a pair of Casablanca XC 72’s. I think they are killing it in terms of design and quality. I’m a 48 year old sneaker head and this is the first time I’ve properly lusted after NB kicks. As always a great video.
The 550 silhouette is a timeless classic that I’m happy they brought back, and my ALD 550 grays are easily one of my favorite releases this year. I’ve been tempted to pick up the JJJJound Navy 990v4 as well. A lot of the releases from last year and this year will probably skyrocket in price if NB keeps up the momentum.
I bought the 990v2 a while back and they quickly became my go to sneaker, now I also have the 992 and the 991 And I have to say it the 992 in the classic grey, it is the best purchase I have ever done, they are so clean and they fit every scenario, comfy as hell. Big recommendation
Last NB video it was the 550s, and this video it was those orange Salehe Bembury shoes - this channel is turning me onto a bunch of sneakers I wouldn’t normally be paying much attention to. Great video as always 👊
I copped a pair of black and red 997s and I couldnt be happier with them. They're a versatile sneaker that looks good as a brand new shoe and as a beater.
Definitely need some new balance in my collection. Just collected some Puma RS 100s, and now I need to hop on some NB silhouettes. The 550s and 574s are my favourites among others.
574's are my favorite sneakers. There are so many styles coming out all of the time, and it has this kind of sporty look but not too much. Also they are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.
The 327 is my favorite NB model. Super stylish and comfy with a lot of nice colorways. Hoping to cop the Rich Paul 550 tomorrow. 🤞🏼 Also have to give major love to the Bodega 997s No Bad Days. I’m still salty that I missed out on those! 😂
Great video as always fellas! I have owned several pairs of NB shoes over the years and I still continue to wear them to this day. Glad to see more people stand up and take notice of this particular shoe brand and sport their shoes and clothes.
@@NachoAverageFinds I really hope so! They're definitely a respectable shoe company in my humble opinion. My go to pair of NB shoes are the 608s which are Men's cross trainers. I love them! 😎✌️
I felt addressed by the quote of the Nike meeting, I bought mainly New Balance this year and I feel happy to do so. The quality is so much better as well as availability. In 2019 I owned none New Balance, now 9 pair. Crazy if you ask me. Even some GR releases are super dope imo, like the raincloud pack for instance. Love the content Bryan and Nacho, keep it up bro’s! Peace ✌🏽
@@NachoAverageFinds I haven’t took a W on the SNKRS app, on what I consider fire releases. Sure the BS but that’s not what I’m after😜. Have a great day, or night. Time difference right🤪
back in the 80’s, i like the New Balance shoes. then in the late 90’s, i like their trail running shoes. i think the most iconic was the 405 trail runners. i notice friends wearing them and the were not outdoorsy people either. they were not runners or hikers. but wore them as casual street wear. i also liked their Minimus cross trainer. probably their best one was the Minimus V40. they’re really great for lifting, plyometrics,, functional workouts on the turf, rope climbing, and speed workout. so many great stuff out there.
Accessibility, Quality, Personnality & Modularity are the way to qualify the 574 as one of the most iconic vintage running shoes. Among the basketball shoes, the vintage 550 or the new Khawi are real dope. Asside the look, the performance & the innovation (Encap, Nlock, Abszorb, FreshFoam, FullCell) is one of the strong aspect of the brand!
When Nacho mentioned that the 990s blessed his feet, I started getting into New Balance. I have mostly pairs of 997H and 996. Actually, one of my favourites I have this year was the AM574 with the gum sole and black colourway. It’s a 574 with a skateboarder look. That said, would love to see more expansion on the 997H to go in line with their accessibility image.
There’s a thin line between consumer and connoisseur. As a Bostonian this brand is sprinkled everywhere from attorneys to the person who needs to see the attorney. The brand gives so much common ground and can definitely lead to some good networking and sense of home between strangers
@@NachoAverageFinds Yessir Fr Fr 7 hours into an 8hr shift my feet feel fine, Ultraboost feel good for an hour or 2 then my feet start hurting and these are better than any Nike I’ve worn except the og presto is up there with these imo
Absolutely love the Bembury collaborations. Their current basketball lineup isn't expansive, but it's very functional and pretty good looking too, if I do say so myself.
As a runner, Fuelcell is my goto for racing, Freshfoam+ is my default for training. I've had inconsistent experiences with a lot of other brands, New Balance is always good, often great.
This is great for the sneaker culture. More competition only means great things for the consumer and I’m excited personally for the effect New Balance is bringing to the market
Great video as usual. Thank you. 'Big mo' is entering the game for New Balance. Looking forward to 2022 from this brand. Materials and QC is tops. Wide range of styles. Well priced around the board.
Facts. I actually think they're priced pretty high but they have a wide range of selections. I'm just bitter cause the stuff I want is super expensive haha Thank you for watching
In Brazil, we have a cult for the 1600. During 90´s New Balance import the 1600 in gray and became classic. Now NB has already released 2x the "special edition" 1600 gray (in silver and gold logo) and interesting its only a Brazilian release. I have 3 of then.
Haha that’s awesome. Sneaker culture in Brazil fascinates me. If I knew more about it I’d make a video about Brazilian sneaker culture. Thanks for watching man!
@@NachoAverageFinds the sneaker culture here in Brazil is very strong, we had some icons like the Nike shox, the nb 1600 like my Brazilian homie said, the Mizuno prophecy is big in the ghettos, and in the mid 2000's we had a amazing time with the chunky skate shoes. Brazilian companies like qix, plasma and drop dead, just to name a few, released some classics that I still like to this day
I'm liking what New Balance is doing at the moment. I have never bought New Balance in my life, but in the last two years I'm impressed by their design department and the collab releases. I see myself purchasing a few New Balance silhouettes as I have been really disappointed with Nike this year, quality, design and too many releases of a certain silhouettes just ended up on shelves. So I'll be less JUST DO IT and more JUST NEW IT my bro 😉👊🏻❤💎
My favorite NBs have to be the JJJJound 992s in green and brown. And my favorite thing about New Balances in general in the leathers they use! Also the long-lasting comfort and fact that they have factories in the USA and UK. Also - GO CLIPPERS!!!! I have that same hoodie! Can't wait for them to crush in 2022/23. Thanks for the vid - great content.
I adore Nike Air Max especially the 95, 97, 98, and Plus or TN models. They just look purely awesome on feet. Only problem is quality. They last a few months before the sole falls apart or a bubble pops. Nike quality circa the year 2000 vs Nike quality in the present day is like night and day. Therefore my go to walking shoe is always the New Balance 990 series. Some have great colorways and others are too bland and the just lack the "pop" that higher end Airmax have. They certainly are the most comfortable shoe for me though. On par with ultra boost or react but the overall sole last far longer.
Same here actually. My 990v5s are cooked! I wear them on my daily long walk. They pretty indestructible though I'm going to be needing a new pair soon. Hopefully Nike steps up their quality control. Thanks for watching Winnie!
I agree, I hadn't worn Nike in a couple of years and I put some money into a pair of silver bullets but when I got my hands on them they felt super cheap. The few Jordan 1s I've held in hand has also felt like cardboard. Can't even compare to my US made NB 992s really.
The timeless simplicity of silhouettes and careful collabs will always outsell the rushed and lazy triple-collabs that use names rather than quality to sell shoes.
I got into new balance in early 2020 with the bodega no bad days… been hooked ever since. For me I love the look, quality and comfort of the brand… I also love how the collabs are inspired by the artists interests (like salehe’s 2002r collab) or have a backstory (like JFG 990v3 inspired by his youth and being outdoors)…. I just don’t get how ppl can hate on NB so much, yet will buy the same Jordan’s and dunks over and over again 🤣
That leak from the Nike meeting is completely correct, I no longer care for the brand anymore since it's built on clout and jumping through hoops to get even the most basic releases. New Balance has always been lowkey heat, it's an if you know you know type of brand and I'm happy to have started venturing in it in the early 2010s, along with picking up recent ALDs, JJJhounds, and Joe FreshGoods collaborations that reinvigorated the brand even more EDIT: The Good Will Out X New Balance 577 "Autobahn" Pack is what started it all for me
Have got 6 pairs of yeezys on my shoe rack. But every guest who comes to my house always complements me on the NB 327 orange and green colorway. No one notices those expensive yeezys 🙈🙈. My new NBs are gonna be the 550s for sure.
Back when NB done collabs with stores in England like Hanon or SNS, even Crooked Tongues ones where my love started growing for NB. Old heads like me always love NBs the thing was they were pretty hard to come by even their GRs, back then. Only couple of stores that have them. At least at where i used to live in Sydney back then.
The quality is simply unmatched. NB's Made in USA/UK are the only trainers I collect these days. I'm over the nike hype; just hope that that focus of sneaker culture doesn't spoil NB the same way.
Excellent video as always man. 🤜🤛 My next niche sneaker purchase is a pair of French Le Coq sportif R1000 in white red and blue like the Alpine Formula 1 drivers are sporting this season. 👟
Obsessed with NB lately. First pair that I got was a 327. Then I wanted something more comfortable, which os why my wife got me 990 v3 for my bday (honestly my fave pair rn). Just the other day, i copped 2002r in cream colorway. NB is the goat rn
I used to be a big Nike fan. But couldn’t afford yet on the hype one like dunk and AJ1. When I first see 990V4, I’m in love. What the best about 990 is even the GR colorway is fire Now I have the 990v4 Arctic Fox and 990v4 Kith Navy. It’s so comfortable and cool. I start selling my air max and planning to buy more NB sneakers soon ✌️
Really into NB atm, the 990 V3s, V4s, 1500.9s and 2002s are insane fire imo. I think the whole dad shoe thing is becoming less and less ironic. a lot of 'Dad shoes' are actually really fresh. They're really well made shoes (the made in England range especially have just the most insane build quality and premium materials), but I will say with their recent ressurgence, New Balance shoe prices have been creeping, and aftermarket prices especially do seem to be getting pretty crazy for some of the silhouettes no longer in production. For me living in the UK, prices seem pretty mad for the more upper tier premium silhouettes NB make like the 990s, 991 and 992.
gotta love og 990's, 997's and the 1300's. best shoes made by the best company in shoes. The colabs are great but the mainline stuff is even better sometimes.....
I am from Washington DC and NB have been apart of our culture for decades, I really don't understand how you can make a video on a shoe that represents us without mentioning DC/DMV in this 2 part video. We've hade 2 major collaboration from Big G from Backyard Band and the clothing line Eat the Brand, another fun fact is DC has the most sold NB yearly for decades it's our Uniform... I love ur channel but tbh you need a part 3 and give us our flowers 💯
I'm a former basketball designer and have reached out to New Balance about joining their team...but, haven't heard back from them. My portfolio has designs that will blow peoples mind. Just trying to get that break again.
Wow I would never hear the day of New Balance being number one especially Going to beat NIKE that's one powerful statement from Nike. Also do you think New Balance, under armour and reebox should form there own distribution company.
990 V5 molten lava I love lava and Red and it hit me hard even my wallet to obtain it it's also very comfy I've tried other brands but I keep coming back to New balance I got to have that Arch you'll never see me put on vans for too long but New balance has its balance
the quote at the beginning basically sums it up. there’s something about NB that’s more timeless, egalitarian and less driven by hype and hysteria than nike and adidas, even the collabs w street brands. seems like the focus is truly the aesthetic and design elements unlike say a pair of jordans in 2021… jordans r popular cuz they’re jordans regardless of whether they actually look good.. that’s gonna get old. but nbs aren’t superficial like that
You put the wrong photo up for the JJJJOUND 990v3 OG's that's the green pair that's dropping this year that you showed 6:11 The 100 pair drop was the same kinda brown cw that's on the 992s.
Favorite collab - ALD 993 🥩🥦 because damn. Look at it. Favorite colorful GR - Colorblock M992RR aka NB Waverunners. Favorite tonal GR - M991GL best looking gray NBs.
i literally picked up some 311s just to use as work shoes but i can see what people mean when they say they’re very comfortable. now i wanna jus collect some
Dope, dope new video Bryan! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥My favorite New Balance is the 574 cuz they are everywhere accessible with good material quality. New Balance is still the anti hypebeast shoe company and that's a good thing in my opinion
funny you said the jordan 11 have become the dad shoes! i just became a dad and luckily got a pair of cool greys on Snkrs. was able to get my son a pair too! 😃
SAME my best NB pick up this year Salehe water 2002R, ALD beef broccoli 993, 550 SHIFTED SPORT and GRS pairs of NB. QUALITIES for even made in ASIA PAIRS are pretty sick compare to nike
@@NachoAverageFinds yeah man! bought some great grs too 2002r aluminum and classic grey 574 . I think one of the most special collab that's under the radar this year the Slowtide x NB 574 (AM574TDE) the trailer/reveal of the shoe sold me.
