Worked for Hanazono in Niseko from 2004 to 2011. Great spot especially the peak. Sadly now it's expensive and get's skied out very quickly. So many other great cheaper resorts in Hokkaido that are worth visiting.
Any chance of the name of the accommodation you stayed at? Love that ski in ski out option. I did the Sapporo snow festival back in 2014, was bloody epic. Looking forward to going back there again with the kids.
You missed the POW? They usually have a consistent dump of DRY powder every night. And if the top of the mountain is closed for a day or two, you can get into some deep stuff...
awesome video - i really enjoyed skiing in Niseko but I didn't enjoy the very western (& really really expensive) village. much prefer the sleepy villages in myoko, nozawa onsen, madarao. much better value for money and nicer Japanese food. Rusutsu I thought was a top quality mountain too. But for the prices you pay for everything in niseko village - would rather head to US/Canada
Didn't see a lot of powder in this video. For a US skier that would be a very long way to go for groomers. The lift tix are cheap! That amount would get two days at Vail or Aspen.
Been skiing in Japan since the 80,s and apart from night-life rest assured Niseko is NOT the best skiing in Japan and far from it.Explore dudes and find for yourselves
