Why NO ONE Plays: Viktor | League of Legends 

I swear to god if I hear someone say every champion has 3+ dashes again I'm going to off myself.

?? Viktor is one of the strongest late game champs in the game, the problem is the system, games are too short for mages to be as impactful, however in pro play and high elo where cs is huge these champs find themselves being pretty strong.

@@varanblue7547 Ahri has 3 dashes in ult, Yasuo has unlimited dashed as long as there's a minion wave, Yone has a q dash, 2 spirit form dashes and an ult dash, fizz has a point and click dash and a jump, Zed has shadow jumps. Not to mention that all ad assassins in mid can buy prowler. Yes, champions have 3+ dashes, especially in midlane.

@@sorensinsanity4411 Irelia theoretically has near infinite dashes. Akali has 4. Several adcs have low cd or resettable dashes. Lucian, Graves, Samira, Tristana. Katarina has resettable dashes. Diana has at least 2 but she can juggle it to have as many dashes as her mana can handle. I don't feel like listing them all either.

@@sorensinsanity4411 Ok cool, there are examples of champions with dashes. It's just ridiculously far from "every champion" which I understand is exaggeration, but it's just not even close.

Haha viktor is one of those champs I’ve always been interested in getting into, but I never really went for it. Now that he’s popular because of arcane though, I don’t want to try him out because of that lol

I wanted to ask for it too xd. Used to be my favorite character in the game but he's so squishy and slow and hard to hit e and w in this season, like everyone is running with 200km/h with 38294 dashes and of course a pack of passives and ability resets... I kinda got bored of this "Hell yeah dude I'll smash my keyboard with my dingdöng and have a penta without any tactics" meta

Idk why I felt like I needed you to see this comment especially 2 months late but they just need to revert his w because it made sure all his abilities would hit and it gave proper wave clear just upgrading w and e he could one shot an entire wave and never miss any cs allowing his to complete hexcore quickly

After the removal of his item, I just don't find him enjoyable anymore. It takes FOREVER to get the first upgrade, sometimes you get stomped so hard, you don't even get it, but then the other two happen almost instantly. It is that first upgrade which ruins the whole experience for me. And I played either Viktor or Hook Support. The rest of LoL doesn't exist to me.

His w is better now since it still cancels Dashes and gives his other skills a 20% slow.

they should of kept it, gave it some buffs. increase the ap scaling, add some haste in there and slightly cheaper to upgrade. once fully upgraded it should be like jungler items. it will vanish and go into his passive. i like that he has no mobility, but give him a hook that makes up for the fact he only swaggers place to place. 6 full ap items + boots would help. i would also say reverse his W. stuns who ever enters, then apply a stacking slow debuff for both movement and attack speed. make his evolved E go back to what it used to be but keep the same scaling, a DOT that deals the same damage again but over time. this way you HAVE to land the laser the first time. in a meta where if you dont have hard CC and dashes you lose he really needs a rework to make him truely a power house. i like that his early game is so weak, it forces you to be tactical with him and just grind up. once you hit your spike and no one has tried to stop you yet... you should be a monster to anyone from both range and close up, but super weak to dives on W cooldown. i would also change his ultimate upgrade from cloud movement speed to having it refresh your laser debuff with each hit. i always viewed viktor as an artillery unit, slow, sluggish but will fuck shit up

@@callmeriggy nah, just code it as legendary. Messing with mythic coding would be too much. Just give it a mythic passive similar to old Viktor's item of scaling AP and Mana per level.

Although almost nobody ever used it for its mediocre stats, the Blue Hexcore and the gravity well buff was secretly OP. The gravity well is probably one of the best teamfight utility items out there, and the blue hexcore gave you the range to use if offensively.

Actually not a bad idea, other buffs I have seen suggested would bring his power level in nerfable range, but this would be a nice quality of life change.

Im a bit late, but they should also make upgraded w ground ennemies, this way it might be worth in some matchup to upgrade first or second. Right now it's never worth.

His e takes some getting used to but one you get it down its one of the easiest to hit skillshots in the entire game. Its almost impossible to sidestep if targeted perfectly.

Viktor E is literally the easiest skillshot one you get the hang of it tho ,but the ult and the stun yeah happens

Give his w a ground and almost every assassin mains will cry harder than they ever had before

@@True_Damage69 no just make him have better survivability. grounds (except for poppy) should be slowly removed in favor of kit changes. for example, if yone gets hit by cass ground he literally cannot use any abilities except for w. it feels TERRIBLE to play against but it's also terrible for how overloaded yone's kit is without the ground. the champs are the problem, you can't just bandaid it with a broken mechanic to fix him

@@biggiecheese2004 I stand for Tahmy. I think a lot more mages should've gotten ground effect. That would solve an instalose match ups against any assasin. You think that mages (cass) shouldn't have ground effect. I personally think assasins shouldn't have shields and aoe waveclears :) - so why do they have those ?

apparently alot of people cried that his hexcore took up a item slot that could of been used else where.... if they kept him an immobile champ they NEED to bring it back, but once fully upgraded it gets a larger buff and it gets removed from his item slots and merges with his passive OR merges and unlocks a new passive that maybe gives an "ultimate upgrade" he can use on one of his skills to give it another effect and only one skill can have it. Q) would be to give his empowered auto a much longer range and damage. his W should give grounding and increase duration to the stun E) would be to give it a DoT like his old upgrade, deals 60% of the inital damage again over time that will refresh if you land his after shock. and R) would give it a chain attack each time it hits a enemy, the chain lightning would deal 33% of the pulse damage to near by champions which i think would work really well in a team fight if you can stun 3-5 of them close together and ulti in. i LOVE viktor and i love he isnt mobile but he needs a hook, a reason to play such slow champ in this meta.. giving him insane scaling, stats and additional upgrades would help him out alot. hell even give him multiple choices on what upgrades. like say 5 choices per skill, so he can build almost any way. he is all about adapting he even has voice lines about it lol, with all these multiple choice upgrade you could even make him a really decent aggressive support. a better top laner or even a jungler in the right instances.

same, I have been playing Viktor since like season 5, but as you said the champ needs 2 or 3 items to start being useful, and at that point you've probably already lost the match, also I find kinda frustrating how useless the W feels, like you can put it on 3 enemies and if you're lucky one is gonna get stunned, and that's if you're lucky.

Actually viktor spikes at 2 items really well, its just about which items you choose. If he goes Archangels he has all the flat ap he needs to take advantage of his ratios in the midgame. On top of that Viktor loves getting a tear first buy as it removes some of the pressure of not having upgraded e for waveclear as he can expend more resources to deal with that while also having mana for trading. Give him a try again, theres lots of folks on the viktormains reddit who give great advice for buildpaths into specific matchups and comps.

Viktor main here, he used to be horrible because of his passive because if he didnt get enough gold in his first back for the upgrade he would never get back into the game. Aiming his E only takes a bit of practice, its not that hard and is almost undodgeable for the enemy. For the R you can literally point at people and it will automatically follow. Now with his much better passive, the only thing that is holding him back is the meta with high burst and mobility and him being medium range. Its also the fact that he sucks before lost chapter and his first E upgrade, getting to that stage simply takes too long in this meta. While skirmishers can start snowballing way earlier. He cant get many stacks because meta mid laners beat him in skirmishes. I think if we ever get to a mage meta again he will definitely shine because he can outpoke and outwaveclear most of them. Tldr; hes too squishy and immobile for this meta

@@Vaz_G Actually yeah I think it's his range that I had an issue with in regards in being comfortable with him. He has the tools to be nice for my taste but his range makes me feel really off.

@@Vaz_G i always thought they should of made his empowered auto attack have a longer range. i miss his old passive, i would rather have it back than what it is now. im a ex viktor main who said fuck it and went to play nami mid instead... viktor can deal stupid damage but only really against a team who doesnt know what they are doing. most teams will just shut him down early game as much as possible so hes basically worthless rest of the game.

Viktor is just a safe champ agaisnt melee enemies, agaisnt other mages is too easy to farm on him, especially those who have better range than him. Ziggs? Pokes him and farms, Xerath? Same. Lux? Same. Vel Koz? Same. Maybe Viktor can use a max range E to poke, but Its not enough. Until min 10 when Viktor usually gets his first Hexcore upgrade (His E, as almost always) he can't do anything, and even when he gets his E upgrade, he will just AFK farm pushing the wave and maybe help the jungler. Agains an assassin or a melee champ is great because they usually want to roam, so they either roam and lose minions, or farm under tower, since fighting Viktor is usually a bad idea (That W and burst kite potential is insane, one of the most safe picks ever in pro play, with Orianna and Liss) But against a Mage that doesn't work, Viktor can only hope to outscale the enemy or get help from someone else to CC the enemy Mage and then destroy them. It's just simple match up, Viktor is great against enemies with same or less range than him (Another reason why in S6 he was Meta with Clepto on TOP) But against longer range mages? Boring af to play as him, he will want to roam with his Jg once he has his first Hexcore upgrade. No surprise that you could made his lane phase so miserable with Seraphine, even tho he should be able to straight up oneshoot you later in the game. Source: I only play mages lol
