Why Obi-Wan Said LUKE Was the Chosen One, NOT ANAKIN 

From a certain point of view , Obi Wan is the chosen one. Most pivotal protagonist throughout the story arc .

I remember thinking Luke was the chosen one as well, succeeding nearly everywhere his father failed, and eventually with time I came back to realize Anakin was always the chosen one. But I’ve come to see them both as chosen ones, it was Anakin’s destiny to bring balance to the force and it was Luke’s destiny to maintain that balance. Great video as always man! From a certain point of view, the prophecy wouldn't have been fulfilled if Luke didn't convince Anakin to return to the light. He was chosen for that task.

When Anakin turned to the dark side; Obiwan and Yoda wrote him off. When Anakin sacrificed himself to save Luke from Sidious' Force Lightning and to ultimately destroy the sith; Both Obiwan and Yoda were shocked and like, "Oh, Shit!! He really is The Chosen One!!""

I think George missed an opportunity with Leia.

I think anikan was the balance for the dark when the light was strong, and Luke was the balance for the light when the dark was strong.

When you realize how manipulative Yoda and OB1 were with Luke, they trained him to be a Sith.

If only Obi-Wan and Yoda remembered the roots of being a Jedi and didn't instantly treat every Dark Sider like an enemy. They forgot being on the side of life means caring for the lives of your enemies as well. PS: the Jedi misread TF out of that prophecy.

I always believed Luke was the chosen one since he defeated Vader and brought Anakin back who in turn killed The Emporer.

I didn't word that right in my previous comment. Anakin is his generations chosen one. The skywalker twins are the next generations chosen one. One to bring balance to the force and one to preserve it. As for grogu he is also a chosen one his role is to perpetuate the balance of the force into the future.

Luke's not the one who threw the Emperor to his death (I know, he came back in those terrible sequels by Disney).

There's something of the Jedi in the prophecy of the chosen one; they only want to believe it, if it means balance is the eradication of the Sith. That the Force is only of the light, without darkness. Kenobi's final words to Anakin/Vader on Mustafar was "You were the chosen one! It was said that you would *destroy* the Sith, not join them! Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness!" Kenobi can't see balance; he had no idea if Luke was the 'chosen one.' Qui-Gon's advice to Kenobi rings true: “Do not center on your anxieties, Obi-Wan. Keep your concentration here and now, where it belongs.” Obi-Wan: “But Master Yoda says I should be mindful of the future.” Qui-Gon: “But not at the expense of the moment." Kenobi frets of the future will lead to his 'certain point of view.' A huge caveat in how he perceives balance and the prophecy. Qui-Gon was more grey, neither light or dark, like the Bendu.

The "Obi-Wan" series DOES 'confirm' that Vader killed Anakin

U doubt you read these, but what is your take on this. When Anakin was born there were only 2 sith as where the Jedi let the Republic rule the galaxy under their direction and protection. The Jedi were very numerous, so in destroying the Jedi Anakin did bring balance to the universe.
