Obi-wan isn't dumb. Based on his prior knowledge when Dooku told him a Sith lord was controlling the senate and seeing this manipulation first hand, I think he'd assess the situation pretty quickly. He'd very likely be reinforced by a nod of confirmation from Dooku. But from that point, who knows where that would have went!

I loved the conversation between Anakin and Obi-Wan near the end, after Palpatine was already defeated. I haven’t really seen too many what ifs allow characters the breathing room to express their feelings after Palpatine’s death.

I'm glad you only had Windu show up to help Obi-Wan and Anakin rather than Yoda. The fight would have become one-sided if Yoda was there and completely broken and anti-climactic if BOTH Windu and Yoda came at the same time. This made for a better ending than Palpatine just being taken out easily. His contingency plan with Order 18 was also a brilliant storytelling move on your part!

"Obi-Wan got engaged" I know exactly what you meant, but I couldn't help but picture Obi-Wan proposing to Windu after the fight. Cause of his lightsaber handling.

I know that Palpatine was a Sith who wouldn't give up even an ounce of power for anything but it's interesting to assume that the war would end just because Dooku and Grievous were neutralized (both here and in the film). I mean the CIS Senate and Council was still active so what prevented them from voting a new head of state and continue the war? Sure, Dooku was behind the separatist movement but the CIS wasn't some gang but an ideology which tend to outlive their creators.

This one probably has the best ending in terms of consequences for the war, but still being overall a happy ending.

Now to make this interesting, follow up this storyline with the Yuzha'an Vong's invasion. They were put in low priority since there was the Clone Wars. Now that the war is over, they would need to get more info about the Vong as well as Thrawn making official contact with the Republic regarding the Vong too.

Given Palpatine's position in office, the number of years the war has gone on, and the fact he was just kidnapped and held hostage, I don't think Obi-wan would have been too surprised by Palpatine's eagerness to finish Dooku from an emotional or political standpoint.

And that rivals master was obi wans rival as well when he was a padawan, but they later on became friends. She had a purple lightsaber i eblieve. Super niche legends stuff. Honestly this is one of the best ROTS What Ifs I've seen, one reason being the whole cliche of the fact Dooku would immediately betray Palpatine, I feel this video portrays his views quite well and his quite obvious hints, I also like the fact that Dooku being alive wasn't the impact of what lead the end of Palpatine's plans but rather Obi Wan seeing what he was doing and trying to lead Anakin away from it, to add when Palpatine was getting antsy about Dooku not dying, also love the fact this portrays how arrogant Grievous was and the need to please his master, catharsis of my opinion on this is that this stands out and succeeds at that, it makes more sense to fit that of the characters like Dooku's alignment not changing and y'know, calling the jedi kinda dumb for not finding it out and chastising them for it, not to mention at the end where they converted Maul to a jedi, I'm not too sure how I particularly feel however a good end for the character, overall good job on the video!
