@@Fat_PetrolheadI bought it some months ago to the very first owner who bought it brand new in 2007, and now he is kind of a friend to me. It’s been a little journey to do all the pending maintenance since the last 2 years the car was treated a little bit rough because he wanted to sell it and didn’t want to spend much money into the car. Luckily the bills show it was quite well maintained previous years. The biggest point was the cosmetic restoration… And I think I’m half way done. But speaking in terms of issues, it only had some pending work at the suspension (replace air struts and silent blocks), a saggy headliner, a dead rear automatic sunshade, a couple of electric gremlins due to a low battery, and a couple of very small leaks. I think that’s it. It runs great. I also have another Jaguar I bought 4 years ago with the same 4.2 supercharged engine (in such case an XKR) with 150.000km and, both of them run like a charm. I’m in love with this engine. Until now they are outperforming in terms of reliability my old M3 E36 321hp and Audi S8 D2 360hp.

It also depends on where the car was made. Say it were made in the southern countries It probably wouldn't last as long

Thanks for the comment. Do you really believe that inspection will point you all possible problems with a car? Per my experience it doesn’t work like that. You will never figure out oil change frequency for example, and it affects your future life with this car a lot. General inspection will only show what is broken and even in this case it is not a 100% guarantee. Have you ever heard about problems with a car that nobody can diagnose properly?

@@Fat_Petrolhead YES absolutely. A good OBD Scan Tool will tell you EXACTLY how healthy an engine is running, this directly translates to engine wear and poor maintenance. For example the fuel trims show if the computer has to compensate for the engine to run correctly. If it has to adjust timing, or if there is knock, misfires, etc. My 200k mile tacoma barely has 2% adjustments... basically running like new.

That only means you are an awesome owner! Your car is very lucky)
