Too late Winfrey. You gleefully joined in the British Royal Family bashing, and their racist comments about the Commonwealth white race. That can never be erased and it will be what you are remembered for.
Opera really enjoyed doing that interview and encouraged them. She thought it was going to be a big hit! And extremely damaging to the Monarchy. She didn't realize how popular and loved the Royal Family is. Really stupid of her. She should be ashamed of herself but I doubt she is she thought she was going to be part of a big cue but it bombed. God Save The King!! Down with Harry and Walmart Wallace.
I totally agree. After that sorry excuse of a fake interview, I cannot STAND Oprah anymore! I watched her talk show years ago and really liked her. She was honest and real back then. She's not the same person today, and once you've shaded the RF, you can kiss your reputation goodbye.
Oprah lost ALL credibility because of that interview. I have absolutely NO RESPECT at all for her. She's in the same lane as the Harkles. She's been Markled.
Kudos to the First Lady of Nigeria for calling Meghan out,she was 100% correct at saying she was a “shameless woman” and she can’t play her race card against her.
I loved that First Lady. She was elegrant and beautiful and her words rang true. She told it like it was. Hey, MM, play the card against her. Good luck! You will need it. Better yet, throw it away and go on your own merits. If you can.
Whaaat?!? Oprah's playing innocent is a joke, pure and simple. She destroyed her reputation with that "interview" and showed her true side again with her dealings in Maui.
@Roxy0454 Came down from her mansion on Maui to the shelter, patting Costco pillows she donated. Strolled around looking bored in a huge hat to draw the attention of cameras on herself ...
I thought Oprah was more intelligent than to believe Meghan and harry . The royal family are not racist , they made Meghan welcome paid for their big posh wedding , Charles walked her down the aisle . Provide them with a beautiful cottage and paid them well , provided private jets a prestige and privilege life style . All they had to do was work a few hours a week and do a handshaking walk . And they are still living on harry royal money .
It was a disgusting interview. Oprah didn't ask any hard questions probably because she wasn't allowed to. I think this ruined her career. She was Markled!
And then for her only to set up a charity for the people of Lahaina and ask everyday people to donate… when she owns the majority of the land there….. she cancelled herself …..
It was not an interview. It was just Oprah getting the gossip on the RF that she did not get from Diana. She was not interested with the truth. She was interested in her own narative. The bad RF.
Agree... What little I watched made me sick I couldn't watch it it was disgusting you.. all of the lies just popped up like mushrooms it was terrible just absolutely sickening.
It just exposed Oprah. Her reputation has been crafted as carefully as Harry's was previously. Oprah should be next to come under the microscope like heard, megan, all hollywood and music industry and "big NGO",
Oprah's credibility and integrity took a massive battering over the Harkles version of the truth and the timing of when it was released to the world. She will never have the same level of respect again 🦄
I remember watching her way back, but when she brought out that wagon of fat,and EVERY show was about weight loss,I seen exactly what she was,a performer, nothing more.
@@lorierickson8252 I did when she first came on the scene. Her performance in “The Color Purple” was excellent, then she worked to become quite an entrepreneur. I was impressed until I started seeing how everyone hung on her every word and how you don’t dare say anything against her.. When she achieved deity status I had enough.
I think this damaged Oprah permanently. She misjudged he audience as well as the grifters who threw not only the monarchy but also lost massive credibility.
Oprah was angry with the royal family because none of them, especially Diana, would give her an interview. Oprah did the interview with Markle as revenge. That revenge blew up in Oprah's face.
A black woman who is a billionaire in the USA isn't helping the narrative that 'racism has never been worse and victimhood is the only thing worth shouting about
There is racism in America. The fact that some people are able to succeed regardless, does not negate that. It is not as by bad, in some ways as it was during Jim Crow; but, it can’t be denied. That said, it was a ridiculous “interview”. MM was not a victim of racism in the Royal Family. She created it.
Okra was never a journalist. She was an entertainer. Why did anyone imagine she would ask interesting or pertinent questions? She allowed them to tell lies to the whole world. Weren’t there around 17 lies officially documented at the end ? 🤬🇬🇧
Yes the infamous 17 as some or all were demonstratably obvious to most Brits as its info we had grown up knowing. And it was as we now know at least 17!
It was 17 which were the most obvious. The actual number of lies was many more. They even contradicted each other. The whole getting married in a garden did it for me, at that time it was not possible to get married outside in the UK, and you cannot do it in a private garden, you have to have a licence to hold a wedding. One of Meghan's problems is that she has never accepted that there are differences in the legal situation in the UK and USA.
Erased or not, this "interview" tarnished Oprah's reputation and legacy permanently. Millions watched it, taped it, and saw through Oprah's lack of professionalism and pandering to this toxic duo. She and the Harkles have never recovered from it.
I paid very little attention to the bride of Harry before the “interview,” I just didn’t care. I liked Oprah so I watched. Fifteen minutes into Meghan’s whine fest was all I needed to know I was not a fan. The one positive thing that has come from her behavior is I have become a big fan of William and Catherine, and of King Charles and Queen Camila. So, thanks Hank and Skank. Oh, I do not respect or like Oprah any more. What a horrible excuse for an interview that was.
I think that’s exactly what happened to a lot of people. No initial interest but have now ended up respecting and admiring the BRF due to the Harkle’s insanity. M&H’s plan backfired spectacularly.
She is quite pretty and her shape is fine. It is surprising that she does not seem to know the colors or styles that show her in the best light. Are people afraid to advise her or are they afraid of her response to the advice?
Nah. She did this to herself. She must’ve known those two were lying. She must have noticed the inconsistencies in their stories, she just thought she could cause chaos and get away with it,
Too late now. Once the queen passed, there’s no an apology big enough for the damage she helped cause in Prince Philip’s final days and the Queen’s final year.
Oprah has been in the media long enough to onow that once something is put on TV or online - it's out there for ever! We will never forget her, "whaaaaaat?" Oprah acted like it was a federal offence to want to speculate what someone's baby could look like!
After that money-making, woe-is-me whine party and so-called interview, I have ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT for Oprah, Gayle, Harry and his wife. I will not watch or listen to anything associated with or endorsed by any of them. Hey Oprah, you can have a new game show---Lying for Dollars.
Lying like a rug is second nature. Oprah once had the nerve to say to Gail King "I never get into people's stuff," when, in fact, she has made a career of getting into people's deepest pathologies. In the Harkle interview, just as soon as she treated the speculation on how dark the baby's skin would be as if it was a horrible, racist comment (her infamous, fake shocked response) I knew that--just like Meghan--she was just an actress playing a part and lost all respect for her.
And our late Queen, with her husband dying from pancreatic cancer and herself terminally ill with bone cancer, sat watching this crying at the betrayal and lies of H&M on OW ans subsequently no doubt. I personally will never forgive them for what they did to our late Queen who didn't deserve this treachery and deceit. Yet H&M continue to do this with the king and Catherine both battling cancer. H&M and the sewage squad who support them, are despicable, imo.
It has disgusted me as well, on behalf of the RF too They behaved (and still do) disreputably and without the least respect for the Queen Prince Philip and now with King Charles and Prince William's dear wife, Princess Catherine They should have a good look at the dictionary, namely at the term Shame they don't seem to know the meaning of
There are actually people commenting on YT that His Majesty's and Catherine's cancers are "Karma" for the way they are imagined to have treated this toxic couple. They are the sepsis of social media, spreading and infecting.
When our beloved late Queen saw this interview, it was reported that she CRIED! She just witnessed a dearly loved grandson betray her, while the vile wife spewed her lies. Yes, RECOLLECTION MAY VARY, is her lasting legacy to say YOU LIED!
Saw a post elsewhere on YT asking if the late Queen sacked them. Their behaviour certainly suggests that could have happened. The late Queen was a very smart cookie and it would account for KC not appearing to do anything about them. He doesn’t need to, the late Queen took care of it - IMO
That interview was the start of Oprah's cancellation. Shes done other things since that have hurt her reputation too but that interview was what started her being cancelled.
I would have thought she was cancelled years before that 'interview' - like when she was rubbing shoulders with the incarcerated casting couch supremo.
I agree Jesus - mistakes are made by ALL. The bigger problem is that Oprah has never acknowledged this mistake; instead she has tried to cover up the mistake and pretend it never happened.
Oprah chose to ignore her responsibility as a journalist and "WHAAATTT" she failed to fact check Megains responses! Maybe that was the pay off for being invited to the "spectacle" of a wedding. They all deserve themselves!
The spectacle of a wedding that cost £32m apparently. She loved being the centre of attention. Didn’t want anyone walking her down the aisle because she’d have to share the moment, only had her mother there, her husband has never met her father. Tells all you need to know about her
I was never too keen on Oprah Winfrey but I think she really tanked her reputation by involving herself with the Montecito morons. Taking down that awful interview is never going to restore her reputation. So, in a way she has been Markled.
Good episode! Oprah went visceral with Meghan and Harry instead of cerebral. Ironically, Oprah was blinded by the success and ratings the show would get, but she ended up having to pull that interview to save her legacy. Agreed! Oprah underestimated the intelligence of her viewing audience.
... and she underestimated, how much of modern monarchies is actually public. For example: She never realized, that Henrys lie about being cut off would be blown out of the water by the fact, that Charles accounts (and Henrys allowance) are public.
Pulling the interview can't erase the accurate memories of all the people worldwide who heard the Sussexes lies. Nor has it prevented the pair of them from going on to lower and lower depths of disgusting behaviour. Their latest debacle in Nigeria will be long remembered too.
Orca was always miffed that the Queen refused to do an interview with HER, she thought very highly of herself not understanding that the Queen didn't do interviews with low class entertainers
It’s their “specially selected” interviewers. Apparently we’re going to see more of them in Meghan’s upcoming Summer of Love media blitz to repair her image. It’s all so pathetic.
I lost respect for Anderson Cooper after he played "soft ball" with Harry. Colbert thought he was being cute by adopting a snide (nod, nod, wink, wink) approach, but he can't escape guilt either because ultimately, he let the lies go unchecked.
If THAT was an 'interview ' I'm a effing donkey! I was shocked at the time,as Prince Phillip was OBVIOUSLY on his death bed,but 'the show must go on'.I thought 'so disrespectful '.But I attempted to watch it and was so disgusted I never finished.
The Nigerian president has spent a long time in the UK having medical treatment, he attended the Coronation... I can guess who he and the First lady would rather support.
She needs to be boycotted big time, look how she treated the inocent people in Maui, so many people burned alive, and so much proof she wasvin on it to get the land...
She only did a couple of dutys and left the contry, she married Prince and has nothing to be win he since !! Duty and sevice makes a royal as the work for no one but the country !!!! Megan Merkel works for her self, but expects the British to pay for her protection
I think the woke lot, including Ophrah and Disney, are in full propaganda mode, and they thought we were ready to swallow it all as they dished it up. They were quite surprised by the fightback. It's coming in all shades and all fronts, and I hope it continues.
I am a member of what you so nicely call "the woke lot," and I knew Meghan was fake as a three-dollar bill well before she and Oprah used each other for their own ends. Don't make generalizations about things you know nothing of.
Harpo blew it when her defense of all the LIES was that it was, "Their truth." We all know what the TRUTH is and it's rock solid, unmovable, unbendable. FACT, got it?
I used to like Oprah and used to watch her show, but after that dreadful trash-fest of the royal family, I lost all respect for her and will never ever watch anything associated with Oprah again.
Oprah is dead to me after that ridiculous "interview". Then she was an owner and mouthpiece for Weight watchers, while all the time she was taking Ozempic. She's no longer believable or relevant.
That interview was such a crock which is the general consensus now, but what a tragedy that the late Queen and Prince Philip had to witness it going to their graves thinking the world thought they were racists. I will never forgive them this.
I’ve always wondered if, Harry new exactly what she was saying before he joined the “interview” Her touching his arm to stop him replying to Oprah, makes me think he did not.
Oprah interviewed them because she wanted the exclusive on the first Royal interview and with that came big bucks. Oprah made millions worth of advertising revenue. She was not going to ask the hard questions. She wanted that interview. Meghan would have declined if she was called out.
I’ve not been much of an Oprah fan prior to that “interview.” But I was very incensed by how it went. The fact that she didn’t push back on any of the untruths told me all I needed to know about her and those two.
Either O was an abysmal journalist/interviewer who failed to do any research OR She knew the duo were lying through their teeth and was complicit in that debacle She underestimated the depth of feeling and affection for HLMTQ and never expected the backlash and debunking of the whole thing I agree she pulled the interview when she realised she needed damage control asap Too late I believe it ruined her reputation here in UK which wasn't as great but to her shock it totally trashed it in the USA Americans may not be Monarchists but they did respect HM work and commitment to her subjects and country Hoist by her own petard😂😂😂😂
Meghan and Oprah are victims of an American culture which tells them that if you are not thinking the American way ,you don`t exist . Therefore what an American says is true must be . The people of the World educated them , just a bit, didn`t we?
Keep in mind Oprah had badgered the Queen for an exclusive interview but Elizabeth would never indulge Oprah. Rumor has it that Oprah resented this & I have a feeling she got so excited to interview the harkles as revenge directed at the Queen that she became careless and didn’t do her do diligence as a reporter. She just wanted dirt on the Queen Oprah is not a nice lady
Orpah (her real name) doesn’t like to be made a fool by liars. No one does. But Orpah gets enraged when she’s publicly humiliated by being ”taken in” by grifters like the guy who wrote that book about his addiction story. Does she really want the whole world to see, over and over again, what a Fool she really is? How gullible. How easily taken by her own weakness?
@@judithholder2537 I thought of that too. She gave these charlatans an audience in order to expand her brand. In the case of the Harkles, she thought to do the same. Exposing the "racism" of the British royal family, was going to be a new notch in her belt. I think she did do her homework but went ahead in hopes of personal benefit
@@karenryder6317 thought Rachel identified as white so did she only become bi-racial after the wedding? From most reports it seems that the US is more racist than the UK
You can always count on Oprah doing what’s best for her income stream. Yes, Royal Rogue, you nailed it. She needed her reputation to continue making the money.
