I have it for few months and YES! its absolutely perfect camera for travel! thank you for the review it influences my purchase to some degree, but it's absolutely true and useful, thanks!
I purchased this camera last week and I'm very happy, because is the perfect camera for me, a beginner. Thanks for your valuable advices. Greetings from Osorno, Chile.
I own the FZ300 for 3 years, I enjoy using it! Used it in the rain few times, confirmed it’s fully weather seal! The video quality is stunning. Recently just bought the FZ2500, the sensor is better than FZ300. Love them both!
I bought it three years ago for shooting stills, didn't like the results (sensor too small), and returned it. I re-ordered it last night (3-1-21) because, as you said, it just may be the best travel VIDEO camera on the market. An amazing set of features for the price, and the video quality is excellent. Add an inexpensive microphone, a variable neutral density filter, a couple of extra batteries, and you're all set! 😎
I now have the Nikon P900 and now the FZ300 and both fit together in a nice camera shoulder bag I have and with a Mini Tripod under the Bag.. All the power I need now when doing day trips..
That amazing zoom capability you have with both cameras, especially the P900 (I understand the more recent model is the P950 as a balance between the P900 and P1000.
@@sovuhar Hey I have seen birds , animals pics with background blurred effect! But not a single background blur effect portraits of humans.. Can u show few human portraits with background blurred clicked by you on Lumix fz300..?
Very helpful review - thank you! I've been trying to decide on a travel camera and have been looking at this camera and the FZ1000, and have also been considering the more compact and lightweight ZS70. It is a tough decision! Living in a humid area and spending time on the beaches, I can appreciate the weather resistance of the FZ300.
Very happy for my fz300 as well but unfortunately i had to give it back for warranty. After 5 days of use i noticed a piece of sand/dust which was moving around under the lens / inside the lens. It didnt affect any pictures for now, but could do it in the future. Waiting for them to give me a new one, i expect it must have been an fabrication error as this model is dust proof.
i have one and its quite robust, i dropped it on the floor with the screen flipped out and nothing broke!! nice camera, only small draw back is the zoom is 'all or nothing', really fast zoom which is great for photos but no good for a slow zoom in video. but an amazing camera for the price
I cannot believe you have zero subscribers.. good video by the way, I am about to buy this camera for an upcoming vacation in Spain and I made some research about this product and landed on your video, that in my opinion, is really helpful and resourceful! Subscribing now and I hope you upload some of your projects with this camera on your channel, cheers!
Thank you so much for your kind words. Much appreciate it. I will be uploading more videos. Actually, the recent videos made (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Nablus, etc... are all made with this Camera!! I am sure you will enjoy it very much.
Very good video and very truthful (thumbs up ) I am a novice birder and have this camera for few years (since new ) weather sealing = very good as I have taken many photos in drizzle and some in rain video quality as I dont take many = been able to take 4K is better than most Image quality (IQ) is from my personal point of view thee best of all this sized sensor cameras on market till today (2020 august ) yes some are higher pixel count compared to FZ 12 mp but there is no other that offer constant 2.8f till 600 mm if one is that crictical for IQ then they would not look at any camera with this size sensor I proudly keep my FZ 300/330 and know it is still a top contender in bridge camera/super zooms/ other any other term one calls these types of cameras IMHO if you are pixel peeking - get a full frame or medium format sensor camera if you wanting a work mull that has few (if any ) faults - get this FZ300/330
nope nothing can enter this camera it's sealed, dust and rain proof! i have this cam since 1 year, took it on a desert trip, was 4 weeks daily at the beach and still works great..even took fotos at the airport during rain...this cam is a real work-horse..smile
Don’t let the 1/2.3 sensor full you, this camera can take beautiful photos, as it’s sensor is also bsi. Take a look at the user review in dpreview website, for a great written review and sample images.
Hey I'm looking for a camera for planespotting. Would you recommend the Fz300 over Fz 80 with 60x zoom ? Will the Fz300 be good for close ups or portraits too ?
I'm looking to get the same camera but I like the fz82 to because it more pixels on it. Can you please help me to decide which one of 2 it's the best to get?
Hello. I have a question. I want to buy this camera but în the manual says that I cannot save the raw files, mp4 files and 4k files în the phone or something. My question îs does a computer support the raw files because I shall save them directly on.my computer
i use this cam as my work horse. it's weather sealed housing and has great zoom. fz300 has a dedicated leica lense, 2.8 aperture throught the zoom till 600mm. so you get fantastic image, especialy during daylight. perfect for holiday, birding, planespotting etc! so no need for croping. still has a 1/2.3 inch sensor! having a aps c sensor does make a difference in lowlight but keep in mind the fz300 is lightweight and you don't need lenses. if you want an ultra zoom camera with great picturequality and sealed housing you'll not find a better cam for this price. getting a aps c xam with such zoom and sealed body you reach 2000$ and more easly and weight will easly be around 1.5kg. happy with my fz300. if you're only into street, portait landscape you could checkout sony alpha
Fixed aperture means that it remains the same large aperture even if you zoom all the in. This means that you can do close up photos and videos without compromising the amount of light that goes in. Of course, you can still choose make the aperture smaller yourself if you want (i.e. increase the aperture number).
I have been shooting Canon for nearly 50 years now and recently purchased a new FZ 300 at auction........after 2 months of use, i can say with confidence, that it is the most confusingly difficult camera to figure out..... The menu and sub menus are next to impossible to understand and i have yet to take one single image that doesn't appear to have a garishly HDR look and either a nasty blue or green color cast. It is no better than a damn paperweight in my opinion. 😞
If you need large print to A3 or up, this camera has 4.5 stops ibis only so you would better have a tripod with you. When you are just sharing your file images across friends or coworkers. It is good enough.
I'm seriously considering this camera but you stills and videos have caused me to have second thoughts. They're extremely pixelated. Especially the forest and gulls in the river. I think the foliage in the wind and the ripples in the water confused the camera. I have watched other reviews and tests and did not see this.
Hello, great vedio. I had a question regarding Panasonic Lumix dmc FZ300, I'm planning to buy this camera now and I'm a begginer. What would you suggest is it a good buy? Specially in 2020 , any tips in what I should keep in mind while buying this used camera?
thank you for your comment. Happy to make a video just for you, but first tell me who you are age, location, budget, and goals / needs ie travel, video, family photos, portraits
