People were mad that the bears continually don't get linemen or receivers for their quarterback. Very glad to get a great player, but that's where the disconnect is
I was shocked the Bears didn’t take a WR/OL but now I understand why.. because they filled a need with a great DB with both picks and Brisker is pro bowl caliber.
There wasn’t a wr or ol available at the point that was good enough to draft there. They made the right calls. I’m just glad they did not pull a belichek and take a guy just to try to prove they are smarter than everyone else. Belichek is not very good at drafting. His past draft success was mostly due to just acquiring more picks than everyone else not because of a high success Rate per pick.
@danny phillips George Pickens is a bust. Everything about him suggests it. The guy never had a 1000 yard season. And kind of underwhelmed athletically at the combine. People though possible sub 4.4 40 and 40 plus inch vertical he did not come close to that.
I think Darnell Mooney can prove he’s a number one receiver this year. He had over 1000 yards in Matt Nagy‘s terrible offense with inconsistent quarterback play with him being a legitimate best receiver this year he might drop over 1200 yards
Bears got a steal at pick 48 and he wasn't even their first pick in the second round which was Gordan at pick 39. Bears pick up two in a row that were 1st round type guys.
