For me the reasons are multiple I lived in Sweden for 43 years, been there done that basically. People are on average friendlier in The Philippines, I feel safer there than I do in Sweden. Had it with the cold winters for a lifetime too, snow was fun when I was a kid but now it is just bothersome. Now all my friends have moved, died or similar so time to move. And as my wife is from The Philippines it was the logical first choice for me. I try to live a bit more on the cheap side in The Philippines saving for our kids future.
I like that you pointed out opportunities as a reason for moving here. The Philippines might not be a first world country but opportunities comes in different form. It can be better social life, newer experience or cheaper lifestyle. Every foreigners are welcome here, just respect the locals, the culture and authorities.
Why people around the says the Philippines is a third world country what to you think in your country 1st world we all same human nothing special we all die we all tourist in this world...Be thankful and be glad coz we pilipinos are happy whatever we have peace

Tell me how many of you vloggers doing that! Don’t be little your effort. Now you know. You make me angry.hehehe
I know that many people from other countries come to the Philippines to enjoy the nature because the Philippines is a tropical country and there are many here who live in the Philippines, to me that's okay because the Philippines is not only for Filipinos but for all people to enjoy
My cousin's husband was from Germany. When he was visiting the Philippines he was amazed that he was getting the attention of young women everywhere he went. He was already in his 40s. He said he felt like a rock star even though he was just an ordinary looking guy in Germany.
@@hcir5341 most like a white mestizo, good looking and classy one. Only few are goodlooking and mestizo there. Going abroad is only easy bec most are educated and have rekatives abroad but finding a classy, mestizo and goodlooking is hard to find tbere.
Speaking of German, I have a German neighbor who lives here in Mindanao for 30 years. In fact this year is his 30th year of resident he came from all the way from Bavaria with his Filipino wife. He bought a piece of land built house some gables yet he still working in France. He toil the soil plant fruit bearing grooves and rise cows and pigs as his past time though he earn. His kids are now got married have life on their own. Now retired but NOT tired and its just him and his wife.
Guys Philippines is not a perfect place but it's a place of everyone who loves freedom simple life and basically its for us Filipinos it's paradise just Injoy life in the Philippines mabuhay...
To be honest Philippines is very diverse you can experienced beach life, countryside, and modern city life though still alot to improve specifically interms of infrastructures and transportation, but as we can see the philippines undergo a massive developments for expanding and improving its infrastructures, facilities and transportation, currently 3 mega transpo. are underconstruction the MAKATI SUBWAY, BGC MONORAIL AND METRO MANILA SUBWAY . once all projects of the philippines completed soon for sure these will upgrade Philippines from its current status.
Yeah rriiiiggghhhhttt. "We" were saying that since the 1960s. Philippines was ahead of most Asian countries then, except Japan. Never gonna happen. Filipinos are nice to foreigners but not to each other. No teamwork, no collective vision for the future. We were probably the most literate Asians since the 60s, aside from Japan. Filipinos don't use their best ppl. They don't want them to succeed. So the best ones leave. And the ones who stay get into politics. Or work the phones overnight for American customers.
we are proud to welcome foreign visitors from all over the world. we want them to see firsthand the good side and the bad side of the Philippines. we are open, fun, and friendly. mabuhay !
Mabuhay! Thanks for promoting our Country The Philippines “ the Pearl of the Orient’ most Filipinos love to welcome Foreigners and we are proud to show our country.
Food in the Philippines esp in Manila is very good. You can pretty much find any cuisine and it tastes authentic. In other countries it is mostly just their food not much international cuisine. It’s nice that you are loving life there. Hope the international community will grow and get connected 🇵🇭
New subscriber here! I agree with you! I’m glad that you two have decided to travel at a young age and try something new instead of being stock in a boring place 😂! I like your perspective in life! It’s more fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭
Just enjoy your stay with different scenic views around 7100 islands and hospitable people. Be careful and observant because there's few bad people around the corner. Philippines is not a perfect country just like any countries in the world but there's more fun in the Philippines. 😊
Guys, honestly you are doing a great favor for the Philippines for this kind of vlog. Philippines is not perfect, but there are many good things in the Philippines that can only be found in the Philippines. Our ministry of tourism should actually acknowledge, honor award these foreigners for promoting our humble country.
Actually, we in the Philippines are happy to have vloggers like you. You share your positive and challenging experiences which serves as promotion of our country; in return it also benefits you, as you explore what the entire island, the people, culture and many more has to offer. That is symbiosis! Enjoyed your vlogs episode! New subscriber to your channel. Welcome and mabuhay!
I appreciate you amigo and dein deutscher Freund for choosing Philippines. I can understand what ur talking about life in europe being coming from germany as well as foreign worker there. Foreigners are of course welcome here in the Philippines, but always be careful so u can enjoy life here. Yes, mabuhay🇵🇭
Some people move to the Philippines for some aspects/reasons: Tropical climate,Affordability/Cheap cost of living, Hospitable/friendly locals, Relaxing/linient living above all it's the vloggers haven/capital of the world. Vloggers lives happily in the Philippines😅😅😅
Filipino Americans & Filipinos married to Americans are deciding to move to the Philippines for retirement. Most of these Filipino Americans are professionals & have good pensions & also receive social security benefits monthly. Taxes here in the U.S. from Property Tax & Federal & State Income Taxes which are filed every year is very high. So, some Filipino Americans with their spouses decide to retire in the Philippines for these obvious reasons. Secondly, Filipino Americans who are living alone either because their spouses have passed away & live alone decide to return back to their place of birth since they have relatives to watch over them. Third is the cost of living. Here in the U.S. cost of living is very high especially now with our inflation between 8.0% to 9.0%. Even though the US is an oil & gas producer, our gasoline is very high. Our monthly Social Security benefits can go a long mile if you live in the Philippine Provinces.
You guys are so funny lol😂I’m from there but , I live in in the US. My son and I visited there last year it was his first time . He told me it was the best vacation he ever had. He said his gonna finish his college here and get a remote job and move there. He’s graduating this year as a graphic designer. Thank you for the kind words about Philippines. You both enjoy your life there while still young.😊
Back in the late 80’s in the PH I only saw older white men, probably there to bring home a wife. There were a lot of Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans who were there for Business. Maybe a few Arabs and Indians doing Business as well. I didn’t see a single Black Person or Latinos who came to PH except if they were there to Perform to Sing or Compete (Boxing). Then Cebu, Boracay, Bohol, Palawan started booming, that brought a lot of rich Tourists. Now BGC, Makati area are bringing in a lot of Digital Nomads accomodating their home. I’m glad to see PH is becoming more International. Hopefully this will boost the Infrastructure and Economy. That way when I come back to PH I will be comfortable for having both the Western/Filipino culture in one land. And by the way, if you look at the majority of Filipino Celebrities and Models they are usually half Foreigners/half Filipino.
I moved to the philippines from Los Angeles coz my dollar can go a long way plus the friendliest people and spectacular diverse islands. What else u want?
There are many benefits here Philippines than other countries. Many foreigner move here in the Philippines because of democracy, low cost of leaving, christian country, more people here is Anti Terrorist, hospitable, etc.Thank you sir for loving Philippines.God bless us all.
To be honest, both Philippines and foreign bloggers benefit each other, when they are in Philippines, foreigners blogging go around enjoying the place and the same time making money & local people have business same time….
Another reason also why Western people come to Asia is that Asia is still not yet "developed" economically. But it is a region that is growing fast economically. That means, the economy has a lot of room to grow. Valuations of companies have a lot of mileage to grow. So when you invest, the returns can be very good. Of course be wise with your investments.
*_nature is the top reason why people lived or moved to PH., 2nd, we dont have language barrier. everyone can can understand english but not all can speak fluently but still we can._*
I've been three times to the US, the most recently in October 2022, in Hawaii. They DEMAND a tip!!!!! All establishments demand a tip. In Europe we're OK giving one or two euros up to five euros. NOT in the US. You are forced to give a tip of at least 20%. I plan to return to my homeland after more than four decades and live or build a simple bungalow somewhere in Dumaguete. I hope to be able to do it in a couple of years time. Cheers!
@@markrolandeugenio1177 Are the beaches actually in Dumaguete or in areas outside of Dumaguete? I ask because in 2-3 years I will be spending my winters in the PI and am attracted to beach destinations but my preliminary searches have found no real beaches in Dumaguete, and certainly not like you see in Alona Beach and Boracay.
dumaguete is nearby the coast, you may also visit Bacong and Dauin they're the towns or places next to dumaguete... Dauin has lots of beaches and has a marine sanctuary and dive resorts, you may check the vids of Finn Snow as he now lives or watch BecomingFilipino so you could also check other places you might be interested in aside from dumaguete, but in dumaguete alone you'll find a lot of beach resorts
@@TB-xx4gc consider boracay and siargao if you are into beaches or cebu maybe, there's actually a lot of places that you can consider in the Philippines to stay in near the coast like in davao or samal island...
I love the honesty and how well you both share the talk time. It is quite refreshing because there are alot of monotone sounding vloggers on YT. You two are not. Grest video.
This is quite irrelevant but sir please be sure to tell your friend that he really have a beautiful voice, so rich, deep and manly 😳😳😳 it's very soothing to listen to his voice
This is also true for other Asians = they have moved and are still moving to the Philippines in droves. They just don't get featured or talked about on youtube.
thank u guys for choosing and loving Philippines!!! you so happiest and funny friends hahaha... always all foreigners welcome here... we love all races👍👋👋💪💪❤️❤️🙏🙏😂😂 its more fun here🐬🐠🐟🐳🦅🥂🍾🏝️🏞️
🔥Try using the spoon next time for an experience. My coworker here in the US saw me eating with a spoon and NOT the usual fork and was laughing hysterically. She ask me in a strange way why I'm using a spoon & fork when eating. I told her we are rich in the Philippines and we can afford a spoon and fork.
You are absolutely right. In Asian country esp in Phil, we have a native nature vibe . Worldclass beaches is + factor. While in Xanada u have to put 3 clothes everyday. Its hard to make an outdoor activity... King have u explore D Camuigin Island , or you just love city life.
I’m a new sub and I’ve been to Ireland. It rained a lot even in Summer. I brought an umbrella and it broke on my way to work. I stopped by one of the souvenir shops to get another umbrella and it broke 2 minutes later. I learned to just wear a coat and a hat
My wife and I came settled in the Philippines 4 years ago. She is a Filipina, whom I met while we were both working in HK. The clincher was the birth of our son. As soon as that happened I knew it was only a matter of time before we moved so I was fully prepared to sell up and move on.. We bought a house here while living in HK and have since bought more property in what would be called high-end neighbourhoods. We have an income that exceeds our expenses and cash in the bank and we live comfortably. Our kids are at university/private school. We live in a location where Manila is easily accessible but where the climate is pleasant - we are about 1000m high. If we want to take a holiday, either locally, in Asia or even further afield there are no problems. No regrets.
hello brothers. nice to see this video. well, something hit on my attention. for us, being a Filipino we don't often waste foods. hehehe. even if it drop in just a seconds we still pick up and say oh it's just less than a minute hahaha
Watching you eat chicken Tikka Masala (butter chicken) is making me hungry. The flat bred is called Nan (not pita, haha). Now, I feel like having it for breakfast (am in Washington, DC). Rock on dudes and keep on vlogging! You already know that your vlogs promote the PHL and its people as well!
I grew up in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and migrated to Toronto, 🇨🇦 Canada, for 11 years and "lived" in Ramstein and Heidelberg, Germany 🇩🇪 for almost 5 yrs. , United Kingdom 🇬🇧 for 4yrs and 🇺🇸 USA for 7yrs. Every country have it's good and bad. It is how you live your life in it and deals with the people around it. My youngest son is even born in Germany. And visited historic Berlin and had seen the beaty of Ireland 🇮🇪 . Philippines is where 💕 my birth home, Canada and Germany are very dear to Me.😍. Make the most wherever you leave ✨️
People don't realize this but as we transition to clean energy, we will definately feel the pain. The world still runs on DIESEL. We already seeing supply shortages. Those big ships needs alot of Diesel to run. Those Ford F150 lightning pickup trucks can't barely have the range to tow cross country unless of course don't mind waiting charging for hours. My phone barely last 2 days. If the governments really goes through banning petrol cars within 10 years, then we are screwed. We can't barely power air con during a heatwave and imagine plugging cars too.
Honestly, the only reason I can see why many foreign bloggers are moving temporary to the Philippines is to gain more subscribers. Filipinos are fond of foreign bloggers. It all started with Becoming Filipino (blogger from Canada) and then The Hungry Syrian, the rest followed them later and now you can no longer count how many foreign bloggers are moving in to the Philippines. ✌️✌️✌️
My husband like redhorse too. Where visiting soon Philippines . Happy to hear you enjoy to live at my country & enjoying the weather. Here in Denmark still cold & sometimes sun isnt shinning.
I love the beauty in Europe the landscape are amazing but the weather, NO Way! I love the most my country Philippines.😂 I´m working and living here in Germany for 15 years and never come to my mind about changing my nationality coz in the future I´m coming home.😊🙃 Btw, why the handsome guy beside you not vlogging anymore? 😋
Amen 🙏.....your explanation says it all guys now I know why some foreigners like Philippines. Thank you for loving my country im your new followers here good luck and God bless you more enjoy Philippines 🇵🇭 stay safe 😊 😘 💖 🙏
Thank you for helping me decide wether or not I’m moving there!!! I am!!!!!! I’m bored of the USA & there’s so many mentally ill ppl here. I do not feel safe😢
Even here in France..you can’t bring camera except if your in a tourist spot area ..on certain cases you have to ask their permission if your filming in public ..watching from France 🇫🇷
As a Filipino living in California. I like the Philippines better because of the weather, the Christmas holidays because we have the longest and the nature.
I totally agree but as long as you've got money to sustain your life. I believe Filipinos retire in the Philippines because they can live comfortably there. Thank you for your honest opinion of the Philippines.
We Pilipinos have widely open arms to all foreigners/vloggers especially to those who are promoting our country.... you are all welcome, just respect the people and the law... subbed here.
And you forgot to tell the world the most important part - honest, truthful, simple, and humble people unlike backstabbing Judases. Many blessings to the Philippines, a true gem of Asia.
I subscribed both of you. It’s more fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭 if you have regular income or pension. A peace of advice if anyone wants to save more? Eat Healthy, drink healthy apply healthy lifestyle and Do not waste food, do not waste money by wasting your health and life. And most of all be Grateful to Our One and Only Creator Who Created us all and gave us life by Worshiping Him alone not associated anything to His creations). Take care ya’ both and enjoy your stay in Philippines 🇵🇭 ❤May God guide us all to the right path always.❤
Glad to hear that you’re enjoying your stay in our country . For those who are affluent and have college degrees and are able to apply their professions are lucky to be able to have a better standard of living in our country. As you see it around you, there are too many poor families in our country. That’s why a lot want to take nursing as their profession because it’s easier for them to apply and work abroad for greener pastures. There are too many college graduates in the Philippines but the availability of jobs is scarce.
Well, thank you Sir for making us proud. Yep, Pinoys are friendly and hospital by nature. We're rich in culture and life here is simple living and God fearing!
Great video man. I just want to say that I Love it when foreigners Appreciate our Country and Settling here for good. We Filipinos Love Guest's around the world. However, I hope that you guys as well should be very Respectful to Women! I know that In time you guys will love Filipino Womans and probably date them too. I just hope that you promise that you will respect our Beloved Fil Womens because a lot of what's happening in the moment A lot OF FOREIGNERS WHO GO HERE MOSTLY IMPREGNATE FILIPINO WOMEN AND LEAVE THEM AND THE MOTHER AND CHILD WILL BE SO DEPRESSED AND IT KEEPS ON REPEATING AND REPEATING UNTIL THEY HAVE MULTIPLE CHILDRENS. I really feel sorry for them specially the kids growing up without a Father to look up too.

I love foreigners living in our country tho’ I live in England since 1978, 4 kids all born here, retired now from Royal Mail and my hobby is watching bloggers in my country...
The sweeping of the cathedral steps is an ancient custom of Bremen. Men who are still unmarried on their 30th birthday must sweep the steps in front of the cathedral until they are kissed by a virgin , sometimes wearing a maid outfit while his friends throw sawdust or pencil shavings at him. Germany is quite quirky XD
