Few notes : 1) When training pet the nature of the pet (Devoted/Enthusiastic/Intelligent/Etc), training certain stats uses up more/less stamina. For example if you are training a devoted pet you can train it in vitality 40 times before it runs out of energy, but only 11 times on STR training. (enthusiastic = 40 times on str, Intelligent =40 times on INT). The amount of times you can train your pet before its training caps is the same, (every 2 stat training sessions use 3% training level), they just run out of energy during training at different paces. 2) Pet power is capped at player lvl cap x2. So right now that player level is 225, pet power is capped at 450. 3) Dps pets (Both phys and Magic) get a reduction in damage based on amount of people in your party. Fusing pets lowers the reduction by around .1%/fusion. So if you mainly play in team boss farms or mat farming I would suggest support pet over DPS pet. However if you solo run a high dps pet can be a great help, or a tank pet to hold agro. 4) For skills used by pet (both attacking and support skills) are counted towards you contributions in boss battles, so a dps pet can help boost your attacker rank, a support can boost your support rank, for a tank pet to boost your rank you need to hold agro during the battle so being first to attack is important (initial agro).
Additional (and maybe useful info): -Melee Timid pets' "Imaginary Attacks" deal Normal Attack Proration if the party consists of less than 4 people, they can also spam Magic Skills without losing their Special MP Regen. -Normal Pet Food (costs 100 spinas only) guarantees EXP gain bonus (+10% or +30%) for your pet. This may save you spinas and time.
more stamina is non problem because is just take longer, just wait about 4hours you can resume training. but discipline bar is limited. once its 100% poof you capped. no more potential.
I have been playing for 3 years and even got the taming skill because it looked cooler. This week I finally learned how to successfully capture monsters. Before that it was very iffy. Then I got a brainwave and was like - what if it is like in Pokémon? And it works 100% of the time now
I think the reason why most players drop the pet system is the same reason why a lot of players stop leveling or upgrading their food buffs is because of one simple reason: - the absurd time commitment Albeit, leveling pets may take significantly longer than normal leveling, and it doesn't take as long as wasting 2+ literal years of our precious lifespan to know how to perfectly cook a single pixelated dish that we can't apply irl. The time commitment is between these. Still, it's too much time, energy, resources, and RNG to make a single pet work. And that is what turns too many people off. I'm just surprised how Asobimo has taken this many years to finally announce that they'll make changes to the pet system. On the side-note, speaking of EXP, I hope these devs can actually do something about the EXP value of these mini/bosses lately, because now this is getting absurd. Their EXP value graph is growing so slowly that it's barely noticeable that a Lv233 miniboss has an oh-so-"slightly" less EXP value than a Lv239 miniboss. Every player is forced to fight bosses on ultimate difficulty with tens of millions of HP only to earn the equivalent of bread-crumbs of EXP. A really bad ulti run could take over 7~11 minutes and all you get is a measly 1.6% EXP. While we (as of the current Lv250 cap) require 96,000,000+ EXP to level ONCE, every mini-boss (except Demon Eye) still grants less than 1mil EXP, and most ultimate bosses can't even break the 2-million EXP barrier. Also for the counter-argument about "WeLl UsE aN eXp BoOk", lemme shut that dumb argument up real quick. Books are not something everyone has constant access to. It's a rarity for a F2P to get and players who spend hundreds or thousands of [national currency] whaling over avatar parts and gems will of course have a plethora of books at their disposal. I get that every MMO has own "leveling hell" phase, but leveling-hell truly starts at Lv198, where everything you earn is less while the demand to rise is far greater than it's worth. Also, speaking of "leveling hell", is it really so hard to just LINK the blacksmith and alchemist proficiency level to your account instead of keeping it separate each and every individual character you have? The time commitment is also insane. I would get into it, but I've already said way too much on here. I know they can't read it (even though they can just use a translator), but it would be nice to bring this all into more attention. Stop settling for and defending mediocrity. If you want this company to be the best game company in Japan (and yes, that is their official goal/motto), then we gotta start bringing in the more serious discussions and bring up the core issues with this game as a whole (also, they need to do something about player ailments and the enemy animation bugs when they are afflicted with Stun).
I'm surprised I even came across this. I didn't realize till now that I've never once come across critiques, let alone ones going this in depth, about Toram. I played week one of its release in the west and been leaving and coming back to it ever since because I've seen major potential in this game since day one. Truly, I believe this MMO to have the best concepts, but falls apart in its execution. The ability to take skills from any set of skill trees to essentially create your own class is something I wish more MMOs would do, and while Toram implements this system well, it still has its many, many faults. For one, it's never outright stated what type of skills you should go for when building your character, or rather no good recommendations. My first ever time playing the game I remember being confused as to why mana recharged so slow and thankfully I read all the skill trees till I came across Mana Charge (which is basically an essential skill, don't know why they didn't emphasize it.). That was an easy solve, but what about all the other neat abilities from trees that'd help with boosting my damage/survivability in fights? Easy solution would be to test/read abilities to see what works and what doesn't, but there are two problems: 1) You'll have to use skill resets or constantly create (and possibly level) new characters to test theories and builds. 2) Not all skills are cut and dry with their descriptions. Some even leave out key information like percentage values in damage. Now I'm not saying I want the game to hold my hand, actually I appreciate this game for its lack of doing so, but to throw me in knowing nothing more than how to avoid aoes, level skill trees, and upgrading armor at the blacksmith works only in rudimentary casual MMOs, which Toram is not. There are too many underlying factors the game either doesn't explain or make apparent to justify its effort of making it seem simple. Many vets would just say "just look up guides!", but at that point I'd be spending more time trying to understand guides than actually playing the game. Keep in mind that I actually enjoy learning new mechanics in the game when it doesn't feel like I'm dabbling in a whole university course. Learning to correctly craft and tame is in the same vein as learning to build a computer. Is it easy to understand? Depends on the person, but regardless you'll be spending a decent amount of time trying to understand it, and when you decide to try it for yourself, if you mess up, odds are you gotta start over which leads back to 1). Last but not least, the sheer amount of time you spend leveling, grinding, etc is exaggerated and only gets more absurd the more you progress. While I don't find Toram boring by any means, it definitely paves the way to burnout and generally doesn't seem to respect the player's time. With all that being said, I still consider this as one of my favorite games. It excels with ideas but falls flat with putting majority of them in practice. The music in this game NEVER misses, and the story (though I admittedly rushed through some parts), is very interesting. That title drop (in chapter 9 or 10 I think it was?), was kinda mind-blowing. They spent like 5 years building it all up just to show us we still knew nothing and have much more to look forward to. I'll continue to come back and leave as per-usual but the game has potential to make me STAY. Hopefully they'll release a Toram 2 (or Iruna 3? Whatever they decide to call it lol) with improved visuals (I love the style and areas of the game, but the graphics are waaay outdated, even for mobile.) and right all the wrongs of its predecessor. Thanks for reading, and hoepfully Asobimo reads this too 😊. Share your thoughts as well. (Try to ignore any spelling and grammar mistakes, I was up late writing this)
And 4. Sometimes RNG makes fun of you and got an unwanted skill or skill level too low that you have to grind like hell to level up it. Believe me level up a lv1-4 skill is really a pain...
Location : monters 10 levels above and below the pet Method : the pet must hit the monster atleast once to gain exp from it. Also it should survive after hitting the monster. If pet dies it doesn't get exp for any previous hits.
I'm glad some1 make a video how important is pet but sad no 1 make support video. I have a pet that can survive long fight n hold aggro, I also have char sup which mean, I can sup my team n my pet can tank for us. Which mean, if tank is not available pet can be alternative way while having insanely Unlimited MP provided n many buffs
just got dodge and calm with knuckle pet and flinch, stun and tumble skill tree, agelada, being playing this game for 2 months. dodge type 120 agi base potential, knuckle dmg scaled of agi, calm nature, it get out of red area constantly and hit when it safe. so i just use for warning sign, it just keep get away even before red area come out. just follow the pet lead and stay safe. the stun, flinch and tumble skill very helpful since i play halberd, i dont have those skill.
Istg I don't even use a pet I thought it was just to have some company with u on ur journey :0 btw great vid I watched it all and ima need that first aid one XD
i had my pet monticor go with me through most the story line its useful to have a pet he helps do some dmg and tale some dmg , he has courage puff so he gives me some attack pets dont seem to use revive on party members tho only on the owner . im not sure tho currect me if im wrong
really the problem that leads to people not having a pet to fight, is that the system that involves taking roles in the matter for a pet does not invite or incentivize to have it, take for example pokemon, it is clear that without those pocket monsters you do not complete the game, concluding what I wanted to get to is that even in the MQ they do not help you understand that topic, and for the moment that I have not investigated more about pets, I believe skills are required to involve capturing pets, what an incentive more wants to take to make sure we don't make pets. What is missing so that pets are attractive to people? In itself, that is impossible, people are really involved in leveling up to think about it, for the clear reason that as it takes a lot time to level up, because we cannot dedicate the time to the new ones to improve and think of an alternative such as a pet
@@gisuke5664 In your land.. there will be monsters that are lurking around.. just feed them.. once its done... U will see its level close to yours.. for example.. if u are lv 220.. the level of the pet after u fed him will be the same as yours..
I tame a hell of a lot of pets, If you want an endless spammer I would recommend : mdev/Agile/Justice with high agi and dex and ranged attack, get skill mp absorb and just leech grind it to max. Makes pet AMPR 50, and rapid attack to refresh mp and cast skill. If you have a fast attacking pet like sand bandit potum it casts it off skill about every 2 seconds.
Newbie Need wait Bec Don't Have Life potion Enough for Pet and not thinking About Pet Tank (vit only in pet stat)and Not thinking First time Build First Character Class This +Pet Tame Skill in Wait Get life Potion In Dart ,End
