Limiting Nicki’s reach to just black women is crazy. Nicki had an influence on raising young boys too who felt alone and weird. She gave us light and hope.
I never said that - I was speaking to my POV and how many black women + girls she has inspired. I didn’t limit her impact at all + I have plenty of content to prove it! Shout out to Nicki for giving hope to so many kids who didn’t ‘fit in’ 🧡
she 100% raised me as well. Fell in love with her during the Pink Friday era when I was 10 and been obsessed with her ever since. Her Roman character gave someone like me a voice, I didn’t know I was gay at the time but knew she was speaking to me. I was going through similar things as Roman at the time of his debut. My parents were conservative catholics and I would constantly get bullied at school simply for having different interests than other boys. Her music always made me feel confident, powerful, and understood and most of all it was fun! This woman is everything and deserves the world. She also single handily introduced me hip hop which is now one of my favorite music genres. I’ve loved watching her evolution throughout her career. So excited for Pink Friday 2👑💓💓
@Alejandro-gk9jwtook the words right out my mouth. I agree 💯 like where is her interviews, magazine cover I haven't seen Nicki no where like the general public ppl that don't listen to Nicki don't even know that she's dropping a album smh.
@@Shad4493that’s how u know y’all wasn’t really there fr bc the Pinkprint roll out was not clean at all and all those interviews and guest appearances y’all are referencing literally took place the week the album released😭🤌🏽. Lmaoooo if u gon do one thing be so fr and know ya facts. ❤️
As promised, I'm back with another video! Sorry it's been a while - I've been away getting my legal qualification. So glad to be back in time for Pink Friday 2! Leave a comment if you're excited for the album!
I think the fact that she’s having so much fun and she is at peace is what I like most. I love Bham Bham. I love Last Time I Saw You; Red Ruby, Princess Diana… Barbie World…Everything that’s been happening for her in 2022 and 2023 is so wonderful. I love it all.
I feel like since the 2018 hate train, Nicki has managed to expand her dominance over the industry and if you check the numbers for the last few years it jus shows that she's one of the most demanded artists as of today...! Obviously, shout out to the Barbz because we rarely see a fanbase that holds an artist down like them like it's one of a kind type of relationship that Nicki and the barbz have meanwhile most A listers do not interact with their fans. The rollout for this album has been very full circle and it just feel like Pink Friday all over again. Also, if Nicki said this is her greatest body of work even if you put all her previous albums together then we are guaranteed to be blessed with timeless music that will live on forever.
Yea, I’ll never forget how all those female rappers and hop-hop were all on stage trying to dead Nicki… I was like, what is this… tbh.. They still need to answer to that, because I was very disappointed in certain ones like Missy, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte etc.. A year or two later when Nicki was receiving a award on VH1.. and in Nicki speech she stated, “I’ve never met a female I could t relate too” they put the camera on Queen Latifah who was on that stage a few years prior going against Nicki and she was just nodding in agreement… I always wondered how all those women could go against another woman like that.
@@marcosmith4764 honestly, whether any of these female rappers went against her or not - Nicki has always given continuous respect to the girls that came before her while uplifting the new generation of female rappers too!! Check the catalogue and u gone see the number of female rap collabs Nicki have.... that tells u Nicki never ever was bitter regardless of the ungratefulness she's received from the girls that Nicki introduced to her massive worldwide audience and exposure when they were underground!!!
I’m so excited and I love that she’s more excited for this album. She’s a lot more confident with Pink Friday 2 than Queen. It’s been a slow year for music personally and she’s really gonna shake the world with this album drop.
nicki was that girl for all the kids. back then, it wasnt cool to dress up and watch anime and there was nicki with her coocky wigs and dressing up as a harujuku barbie. I know now the girls are out and proud dressing up as anime characters but back then, the rappers were not dressing up or even touring to places like japan. all the little boys and little girls were singing superbass bar for bar.the people can try to down her impact but nicki raised us and these new girls who wanna come for could never.
well she probably can’t even if she wants to since she is still under republic. but also her label has good connections/promo/radio so good for her in that regard, she just needs a good team
Nicki thought me alot as a man 1 People will love you and support when is beneficial 2 am only loyal to one's who burst out 🔫 for me 3 am not into fake industry am about all my business 4 Nikkas snake but stupid am the snake charmer 5 run and hide in queen is a soul touching song 6 freedom from pinkprint is a song to never expect all good from people you have helped 7 win again a song to never stop trying till u win 8 Nicki thought me that not everything worst fighting for 9 Nicki thought me never to give up when you lose 10 Nicki thought me how to smile on my enemies face when ever I win 11 always be smart and play wise
Wow a wonderful video! So happy you are back! I was thinking about pink Friday 2 and leading up to it my mentality behind the new album was “will we get a your love 2.0, Roman reloaded, moment for life. Or even pop Nicki and now with this video I realized something. Pink Friday wasnt just a rap gone pop record but it was meant to be a breakout into a new genre of pop rap. It broke into pop space and the album made a new lane for more rappers to come in. So Pink Friday 2 can’t be labeled as a pop album or Nicki bringing back her pop self. What Pink Friday did was define female rap and did something new with pop. Now that pop rap is popular, Pink Friday 2 could be something completely different and unique compared to the og Pink Friday. It can break into a whole new genre and set a whole new standard to female rap. We will get a Pink Friday 2 Nicki not a pop nicki. And we have no idea what kind of Nicki it is and we can’t put her into the pop box after she broke from being in any box at all. Sorry for the long essay I hope it made sense. In conclusion PF2 isn’t a genre, it’s a multifaceted body of work that represents creativity hard work and a true reflection of an artist
I was born in 2010 and I grew up with my sister LOVING NICKI and hearing her almost everyday has made me one of the biggest fans out there I plan on going to pink Friday 2 tour and Nicki is so iconic R.I.P ROBERT MARAJ
Wow this made my heart ❤️ smile so hard full circle moment she literally raised us barbs to focus on our education and our career and alot of us are successful in our various fields her impact is impeccable meanwhile she came out in 2004 as an artist thats almost 20 years next year and still winning wow
I love that each album brings something new and fresh. I want her to mix old n new but not focus on nostalgia just give us more sounds I was 15 when pink Friday came out I’ve always loved n supported her music she is so versatile that so many people can relate to her n her music🦄💕
Nicki has always been a better rapper than Drake, and regardless of the subject matter, I think this a turning point where people will finally see that she is Wayne's prodigy more than Drake is. As far as judging the entire body of work, that's the challenge really. Even more so given the name. Following up on Pink Friday or The Pinkprint is both a big goal. I think she could make The Pinkprint in her sleep. Pink Friday? I'm not sure, and that's my biggest fear.
Blessing!!! You are back♥️ Seeing a new video from you is always a treat. I think your analysis is so on point. I’m so excited for this album. I really loved Queen and I think PF2 going to be even better. Nicki seems so happy, I love this for her💥
What I love is that in these past 15 years she has expanded her versatility and dabbles in multiple genres of music because the way that people try to box in black artists not understanding that in order to become global you have to tap into various market demographics. Her talent and the way she is able to adapt to different eras & different styles of music is remarkable.
You are the truth !! So glad you posted bc this video is spot on and important! Great way to set the scene for what we are abt to experience from this album.
Honestly I’m really look forward to pink Friday 2, I’m not the biggest fan of her pop music because sometime it can feel like a hit or miss but knowing how much she’s improved in lyricism, I think her album will hopefully bring something that feels more refined with some wisdom and personal experiences.
So I just got a notification from a whole other video. I don’t know how, but my comment for this video ended up there… Can you imagine 😂🤣 B they probably thought I was crazy haha … Glad to see you back. Ima claim 13 😂🤣😅. But this is a big deal because now that we know the true sequel is coming out comparatively, and she wouldn’t be using the title of work unless it was going to be it ya know. So I’m excited, and more so to see if we will see Heavy On It featured
Well said and it shows you’re paying attention and understand from a high level what Pink Friday 2 means especially during a time that women are dominating music in hip hop and also when the quality of rap is being questioned 🐥💕👑🦄
I’m really curious to see what topics she would be discussing especially about her being a brand new mother, a label owner, and so much more. She has so much to offer to her fans. I’m ready for this.
Nicki made my transition out of the closet easier 😭 Finding an artist that catered to gay boys who also empowered them, changed everything 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🦄🦄🦄💕💕💕
Well she did tell us on PinkPrint that she’s giving Cash Money 6 albums 🤷🏽♂️ so maybe she’ll mention her label but I doubt this album is under Heavy On It .
One reason I feel this album is gonna have to eat is that I don't feel like Nicki has a magnum opus. An album that indisputably says "I AM THE MFING QUEEN OF RAP". She has yet to produce a cohesive thought-provoking piece of art that truly sets her apart from EVERYONE. The closest thing she has to this IMO is The Pink print. Yall even Drake of all people has a magnum opus TAKE CARE Lauryn Hill has The Miseducation....., Mariah has Butterfly, Beyonce has Lemonade and her self-titled album, Kendrick has To pimp a Butterfly, Kanye has MBDTF, Lil wayne has Carter 3, Taylor Swift has folklore/1989, Ariana has Thank you next. Every Icon has one. Although I will say similar to Nicki, Rihanna isnt great in the albums department and has no Magnum Opus but many including myself consider ANTI to be her best work.
im just nervous that shes talking it up too much... shes raising expectations really high like she did with Queen and we all know how that went. regardless i know ill love it, i loved queen and nicki only gets better so i know the core fans will die
I replied to another similar comment - I didn’t say that, I was speaking from my POV and giving ONE reason why this album means a lot for black women who grew up on her. Nicki is for everyone who works hard and is confident about who they are no matter who they are. 🧡
We not paying attention to them anymore we putting our full energy to the album 💿 our queen needs us the most this time so her sons will go to sleep after the album drops .
