Why Pokemon is Better Than Digimon! 

I think the main thing that's turned me off from Digimon is the evolution thing. Throw any pokemon from its evolutionary line in front of someone and it should be easy enough to figure out what it evolves from or evolves into thanks to common traits between each stage of the line, even compared to unrelated pokemon that might seem similar first-glance. For example, you can look at a Kadabra and tell that it's more likely to be related to Abra than to Drowzee or Ralts. Even connections between pokemon that *aren't* in evolutionary lines are still easy to understand. The Forces of Nature all look the same in their Incarnate forms, so they're obviously a package deal; same goes for any other designated group of pokemon. Digimon is a lot more complicated, so much so that it's very easy to get lost on your way back to finding a certain Digimon at a certain stage. The anime also never really shows the sheer variety of a single Digimon's potential evolutions. At least not beyond the one episode per entry where a protag fucks up, their partner Digivolves into the wrong 'mon, and they have to scramble to make it change back and try again later to get it "right," somehow. And yeah, some of those evolutions make ZERO sense whatsoever, the first example I can think of being Patamon and Gatomon becoming Angemon and Angewomon, respectively, with the former line being a stage down from the latter. You wouldn't be able to tell Gatomon was at a higher level than Patomon without having some way to know that beforehand, because she's a Champion who's small enough, and in that form often enough, to pass as a Rookie.

Digimon must be doing many things right for pokemon to straight up steal from Digimon. Their mega evos and how they do it needing a device of sort to digi.. oh sorry mega evo are almost 1:1 rip off. To be honest monster rancher is far better than pokemon.

Digimon can actually do 3d animations better 😊. 2d sprites and watercolor designs goes hard for pokemon.

I wish Pokémon fans would give Digimon a chance.
