Excellent video! A dog that is being trained for any “real life” situations needs to be taught that man is primary. You do a great job of explaining this where it makes very clear sense.

Dog training is like cooking, long as ur happy with the end product, every cuts a carrot different everyone uses different seasoning, and we all end up with a tasty meal

So many take-aways from this! For sure it makes sense to issue a command in real life just like you do in training. I learned with my female that she respond much quicker to me when I sound “normal,” to her. And I think the meditation practice is an amazing tool to use for preparedness for stressful situations. Thank you!!

Ref those high drive dogs that when they don’t see equipment they will bite anything. Those are also the dogs that redirect when they overload

Hey guys love the show! A little off topic but wondering what you think the percentage of dogs on that DDR poster from Australia behind you there is show line?

Could it be that the dogs that are the 1 in 40 to have that natural protectiveness you speak of lack in other areas of training, size or health issue and not get bred for that reason? Great video, thanks.

I would think it's not just natural protectiveness but also intelligence to override the training.

Most fail because their genetics don't help them. Not from bad training. If we had more dominant, aggressive dogs, they would bite alot easier.

Very bad breedings being done all over the place for fame and cash isnt helping it either
