WHY POWER WINDOW DOES NOT WORK ON FORD. CAR WINDOW DOES NOT OPEN CLOSE
If you have Ford and windows do not work or just one window does not work on your Ford we will explain what can cause that. I had this EXACT issue. But it wasn't a fuse. It was a wire that runs from a plugin on the switch, towards the fuse box under glove box, then to the passenger door. This wire had a short and was causing this issue, it was a 16 ford escape and during the process for this year they changed the wiring and before they did, this was a known issue. Instead of pulling the dash and rewiring this wire, we instead just hotwired that wire to a wire for the back windows. I wouldn't have found my exact issue without a professional who knows about these electrical systems. It took us a out 4 hours to figure out.

Thank you I have a 2014 mustang I forgot to put my windows back up and it rained all in my car now windows work when they want lol I figured that was the proper fix just needed some wise reassurance thank you.💯❤️

Just to add a little. My problem on my 2013 fiesta SE was that my front windows would not go up or down. I also noticed that the light in the front switches for both driver and passenger sides were out. The rear windows worked and the light in the switches were working. I checked all the fuses related to the windows for front and rear. All fuses were good according to my multimeter. Next I took the door panel off to look at and test the switch. When I pulled the panel off the door, I saw the wires that connect the front switches was dangling. I simply plugged in the wire harness and the windows were working. Easy fix. I hope this helps.

Just to follow up, I had a buddy of mine remove the door panel and we found that one of the wires wasn't plugged into the master switch the same as described by Jeremy above. We plugged in the wire into the switch and boom, the problem was solved. Both the master switch and the passenger switch can raise and lower the front windows. Quick fix, and didn't require spending any money on parts or labor work. Hope this helps you guys.

Just wanted to say thank you for this video. I tried to order the door harness and it is now obsolete and not available. So that meant I need to repair it. I was able to move the boot off the connector and push 2 straight pins, (like they use in sewing to pin hems), into the connector and make connection between the broken connector to its broken pin. I did not have to disassemble anything thanks to your video. Hope this helps someone also. I was not able to attach a picture.

Great video man! I have the same issue on my Ford Fiesta 2011 but it goes randomly. Sometimes out of the blue it doesn’t open/close and after one hour or two or even 10 minutes it goes back working. Sometimes it works for months without problem and it appears suddenly. I will still investigate for reasons. Keep up the good work mate! Thanks!

@@hollyshouse928 lately i found one reason for this issue. When i’m closing the door a bit harder it’s not opening and closing anymore. Also when the window is opened and i’m closing rhe door it is the same. So, try to close it a bit softer and make sure the window is not opened when you do this. At least you can do all these until you get the car to a service and get it checked. Hopefully it works, for me it does.

@@mitzij both times the window was put down with the door closed, but my theory is it's a loose wire, so it would make sense about opening closing the door. It's a 2008 Ford Taurus X

@@hollyshouse928 i was thinking of this also, some bad contact or something. Next month i will get mine in service for mot and also to take a look at that issue. Untill then i’m closing the door so softly as if i’m handling eggs🤣🤣 sometimes i forget and when it happens i have to slam it again few times until it goes back. Just imagine somebody who doesn’t know about seeing me slamming the door over and over and over for no apparent reason😆😆

@@mitzij my mechanic was only able to get it to stick like once out of 20 tries. He says he could take off the whole panel and everything but I said don't bother, I'll just not use that one lol. People must think I'm nuts, pounding on the door panel lol, which has never worked anyways

Before you do any of that, spray the toggles on door w/something like CRC electrical contact cleaner...

So I have a 2018 explorer. All the windows work fine except the front driver which works intermittently, so if you play with the switch it would work. Replaced the switch and same problem . What do you think ?

Same problem with a 2016 Taurus. Replaced switch with used one and same exact behavior. After clicking switch down multiple times it will go down. Same to go up. It’s random on when it does up and down too. Did you ever solve this?

I looked under the plastic covers to the left of my steering column, i looked under the plastic on the foot well of the passenger side, no fuse box anywhere to be found. Also no access panel noticed in the trunk. Any ideas where a fuse box may be hidden on a 2016 fusion?

Hello, i have a problem with our ford ecosport 2019 (trend) the power window is broken the one with the driver's seat. After We changed the battery what happen is when you press the power window it all goes up then goes back half way. It wont close. It will goes up by pressing only and goes all yhe way down by pressing and pressing only. It wont function the one time click or on time press

I have this problem on a 2007 mustang and no blown fuses. Both windows just stopped working and power mirrors also stopped working. Door locks work fine. Blower motor does not work either. Changed the BCM no change. Tested the relays none bad. Any ideas what is wrong?

The front windows on my 2003 Grand Marquis don’t work. However, I have only been able to locate one master fuse for all the windows. If anyone knows of another secret fuse location, please let me know.

@@pollyjackson5212 It turned out to be the window regulator. I had power window problems on 3 cars, and it always turned out to be the window regulator. The best place for replacement parts in general is 1aAuto. FYI.

I have 2014 lincoln mkt driver side window and the two rear windows left and right not working . the front window control have no power I bought another window control and same thing no power coming there only the front passenger window works with the switch on the front passenger door all other Doors and its individual switches doesn't work .
