What's neat and kinda meta is they would have scanned Future Cell too, so the computer now knows everything that happened there and could improve on what it thinks Cell's weaknesses are.
Play Dragon Ball FigherZ... Android 21 is basically what Present Cell would be, so the What If already exists and is somewhat canon, since that character has been put in basically all the modern games, and even Vomi made cameo appearances in the Super Hero movie...
My favorite villain was Cell. I wouldn’t mind seeing him come back even if they had to pull a “Gero had another lab that even future Cell didn’t know about.”
Why would he need that? Cell, at any stage, has both regen and Zenkai, as well as Frieza's cells and potential. He can infini-scale whenever the hell he wants to, without needing to even absorb anyone. Yes: Imperfect Cell, with some training and maybe a zenkai if he gets impatient, can scale to black frieza.

I'll need to make a slight correction. the spy-bots also collected DNA from the battles, which was added into Cell's genetically structure. It was just not just about data and calculations. it was also getting the right materials. without Freeza and his dad's dna. Cell would never had become as powerful as he did.

That might be nice, but remember that both Golden and Black Freiza are not unique to freiza becuase of his DNA, but becuase his mind. Basically, he made them up. So Cell could also make up forms.
I think Cell has by far the most potential. Many people think that "Cell only had dna of others mixed so he won't have freeza's full potential!" But it is Bullshit. Think about it, Demon King Piccolo, a literal Mutant (mutants are actually way better than others in their race in every one from their race btw, it is confirmed by Toriyama.Just remember this) was not able to heal from a (relatively) small wound in chest, meanwhile Cell can regenerate after being completely blown away from just like what, one or two cells?Plus also remember, he was able to learn instant transmission from just seeing it like 3 times. Meaning not only he has everyone's full potential and abilities, but their full potential and abilities ENHANCED. Not to mention that Cell is a Super Saiyan (in his natural state basically) who never showed any stamina issues and has statements of having infinite ki. Yeah, Cell is busted.
The reason cell survived all that is because he's an Android not because it's healing powers are enhance to maximum his body is more resilient to damage and death than an actual living person, like Piccolo even nowadays can't survive getting his head blown off even though he's way stronger than cell was back then, lol people tend to forget that sell is not a normal person he's not even a natural living being there's a reason why in the manga everybody refers to him as "IT" not as him because he's a biological machine who's more resistant to death cutting him in half or blowing off his head doesn't kill him.
That largely depends on weather one's potential is a genetic/biological thing, a spirit thing (The spirit/soul or each individual) or a mix of both. It's probably fair to say though that Cell has at least 50% of everyone's potential though. and even that would be OP as hell.
I do believe present cell would have been born in his perfect form. If the spybots were still collecting data in the Cell Games and managed to get data from future perfect cell that could have caused present cell to be born perfect
It's possible, but if a single cell from cell survived, future perfect cell would probably still be alive. He would probably start a lot stronger than his imperfect form used to be, he could get a boost from the possible surviving future cell Jr's hiding on the monster island.
If enough copies of cell were grown simultaneously he could if been the doomsday, dc character, of dbz. Using each variant to adapt to what killed him.

Honestly stuff like this is why I'd wanna see Cell make a return more than any series villain: he can freely represent a huge amalgam of pretty much any fighter the writers want. While I'm not nearly as well-read on this stuff it feels like he basically could have protagonist-level freedom in getting new forms and techniques just as a matter of absorbing any given mix of characters' power. Truly the Robo-Ky of the DBZ world.

That statement has as much credence as Future Trunks saying the present Androids were stronger than the future Androids. Trunks said that without the knowledge of the Androids holding back in their battles rather than going all out, which is what 17 revealed to Future Gohan before killing him. Piccolo made his statement without ever seeing what transpired in the Granolah arc, not to mention the training both Goku and Vegeta were doing on Beerus' planet. The point being in both cases, the people in question were more powerful than the people making those assumptions were led to believe. The point is Piccolo isn't a reliable source of power scaling information for Cell Max due to him not being aware how far Goku and Vegeta have come
I don't think the bots would have been collecting cells from the same people over and over again since sell said that they didn't collect cells from trunks because they thought they had enough Saiyan DNA, plus pretty sure he wouldn't get God ki from cells because that's not part of their natural abilities that's something you have to learn how to do independently LOL

Present Cell would have data on Gohan and how his hybrid Saiyan/Human cells work in concert with each other making for a more efficient version of cell and that's not taking into account Broly, the data on frieza's golden form, the cells of boo and the subsequent data on things like magic and absorption, data on the fusions could perhaps warrant the creation of a second bio Android for present cell to fuse with or he could seek out Cell Max's power core to add it to its own, not to mention Hit, Whis, Beerus was on earth so there's that data and DNA. I picture this version of Cell not needing to drink people in order to get strong enough to absorb 17 and 18. He would just be strong enough already. He'd get his perfect form and then absorb gamma 1 and Cell Max's power core becoming Perfect God Cell or Divine Cell.

The craziest part about this is that the computer would've also collected PERFECT CELL'S DNA! It would already start off "perfect" in base. Buuut one problem with your theory. Present cell never would've been spawned. When Kid buu destroyed earth cell would go with it. What if, like the appearance of Gero and Android #19 in the main tineline, something else changed with Trunks visiting the past? For example, could you imagine if Gero had a SECOND lab also creating a Cell-like creature? (Yes, I know Cell Max is a product of the victory over the Androids/Cell) With original Cell's appearance being meant to happen around the time Goku leaves with Uub, it wouldnt be too far fetched that IF a secondary lab existed that we could potentially see a "Stronger Cell" appear. Though it may seem a bit repetitive and redundant considering we just saw Cell Max, with how long it took for us to get the Cell Max we saw it would be insane to see how a few extra years would effect a hypothetical 2nd Cell

collecting DNA from Buu is questionable since he is made of magic. but having the power of whis and berus would make him the strongest fighter in universe 7 by far. not to mention if future cell had the data and sense to train with kaioken his regeneration abilities would allow him to reach insane multipliers with a massive freeza level zenkai every time he returned to base form.
Not just that but cell already has the most potential out of every db character. I mean he has super regeneration while also having sayjan genes making him stronger in near death scenarios. Basically he could blow himself up all the time and become stronger immediately by healing immediately and he can also absorb other beings
The zenkai boosts get weaker and weaker as you get stronger, they almost don't even exist anymore for Goku and Vegeta at their level. He couldn't use super saiyan, though. So even if he got to match the base forms of Vegeta and Goku... a simple transformation from them puts them right out of his league again.

After all goku during the top got stronger after every battle and near death situation just like he did during the start of dbs. Since he has super saiyan energy signatures we know he has that power but he has Freeza potential as well, which means he can go Golden and eventually Black. That itself is scary. Give him God Ki and, well, that's game over.
Great video, never even thought about it before. I'd like to offer a potential point of contention tho. God ki/energy probably isn't something that would be accessible to Present Cell. Granted someone like Frieza would make this trivial with his raw power but it's still an arena that he probably wouldn't really understand.
Did he forget that Krillin and A18 moved out from Roshi's Island and have their own place now using the price money from the world tournament when 18 took a dive for the prize money

Here’s a scary implication. If beerus never showed up in trunks timeline it’s likely that’s because goku and vegeta weren’t there (he only went to king Kai’s world because goku was there and earth because whis told him the majority of the surviving saiyans were there). He would have gone to vampa and recruited broly. Can you imagine a god ki broly?
Not to mention that broly could've become even stronger then. But I highly doubt that Broly will learn god ki. Remember, it took Vegeta, a skilled and calm minded warrior a whole year to learn god ki. And then there's broly, a guy who is mad in general

The main issue with this theory is that we already have 2 updated versions of cell made with information after the frieza and king cold battle. Android 21 from DBFZ was produced using data and genetic information up through the buu saga at LEAST (due to buu’s DNA in her being the problem that starts the plot as well as the reason kid buu is around at all), And cell MAX was made using data up through at LEAST resurrection F. This one was also made by dr hedo, who is stated by multiple sources to be capable of producing far more powerful technology far faster than dr gero. A present timeline cell would be stronger than any mortal foe the z fighters have yet fought, but i doubt it would be enough to match a god of destruction or angel, as the versions we already have are still below that bar even after data on them has been collected.
Trunks and Krillin blew up the labs tho. This theory would make sense if they missed 1 still collecting data. Only problem with the spybot theory is that the exceeding power levels of SSJ2+ would have blown them to bits.
About future Cell getting Trunks' DNA, the only thing that makes sense to me is that Cell was indeed referring to the Trunks that he killed in his own timeline. As you said the supercomputer was autonomous so it wouldn't have needed Dr. Gero alive to send spy bots to acquire that Trunks' cells from his numerous battles with the Androids. I think not only did the computer deem itself as having more than enough data already, it's possible that since Trunks was shown to get beat up by the Androids on a regular basis, he was deemed as week, thus the spy bots didn't bother using his cells.
the super computer didn't need trunks DNA because it had access to samples from vegeta and bulma. better yet data from far stronger and smarter earthlings. enough that the computer probably knows the exact genes that govern strength and intelligence in humans and can maximize them.
@@psionx1 i know it doesn't matter anyway since Cell never trained, but getting Trunks's cells would've been useful for increasing Cell's power potential with him already having the cells of Gohan and Frieza, 2 genetic freaks on top of Trunks with how strong they can become in a short period of time. More so how Trunks' potential is depicted in Super than Z. He definitely had more power feats there

although this is a hypothetical, there is no way the cell drones are gonna collect good enough data. if we go by the anime, the latest data the drones would have would be all the way back in RESURECTION F and if we go by the manga, the latest data (probably) would be from the moro arc. (i consider dbs:super hero before the moro arc)
They would've all been destroyed when Kid Buu destroyed Earth too. Even if the wish brought them back (since it clearly brings back buildings), would it bring back the larval form of Cell?
on top of Super Sayian, what about Frieza's Golden form, the Kai, Buu, the Destroyer Gods, the Angels, witnessing Zamasu/Goku-Black and Zeno oh gods, the Tournament of Power. already the genetic cocktail is enough to solo 4/5 of the cast without difficulty. one sample tap during the Moro Arc, the Heroes side story, Beast Gohan and Dragon Piccolo, and even Red-Cell would have been cautious about attacking a "Cosmic Eternal Cell" possibly with the knowledge or enlightenment to backup the concept.
Modern Cell would never have existed anyway. Kid Buu destroyed the Earth, which would have included Cell... and they specifically wished back everyone _but_ the evil ones. And since Cell was evil, he would not have been wished back.

Yeah, considering how formidable Cell Max was in his Imperfect form, he was incomplete, and he was still a legit horror movie monster... Loved the ominous music when he woke up... I can only imagine, if that version of Cell had the time to become Perfect, considering how transformations go, he could've easily leapfrog Beast Gohan, if he decided to play around, in power scaling once again... That's entirely possible.
Honestly, i think that most if not all of the drones would've been destroyed by Majin Vegeta's final explosion, where Ssj3 Goku could then whoop a theoretical Present Cell

I’ve heard this idea many times before, and others have use it in creative ways from my memory. However, I have one problem with this theory. If Kid Buu destroyed the entire earth in the majin buu saga, then wouldn’t the present cell have been destroyed in that explosion? Thus, our characters would never have to worry about him in Dragon Ball Super. Even if this fetus cell was somehow revived by the Dragon Balls, he wouldn’t live long due to the supercomputer and spybots being completely destroyed.
Well, if the wish would be to restore Earth, then the labs and etc, would be reatored. And since Cell is not evil or good, like the Cell Jrs, he would be revived.
There's also the possibility Present Cell wouldn't have Trunk's cells. Think about it, the bots likely wouldn't have time to collect the cells of Frieza, Trunks, Goku, and potentially the rest. Nobody knew Frieza was gonna attack Earth and the bots probably aren't as fast as the Z Warriors. Meaning it's possible Trunks defeated Frieza before the bots even got there. Then the Z Warriors flew off to a different location, and definitely weren't at full power so the bots might not have detected them, and it's not like Trunks and Goku's fight lasted long. And sure, the bots could've got the cells of the Z Warriors later, but the Frieza cells from Future Cell would've been slightly diluted by Saiyan cells so Present Cell would have to train much harder than Future Cell. Of course this is all just speculation.
No, most of your points are flawed, “gathering data” as you put it is not like pumping power levels inside a fetus, taking goku dna at the start of DB or at the end if DBS would give the same result as dna is dna and it doesn’t change in time. If spybots managed to get Beerus’ dna the only thing they would accomplish is get Beerus’ race natural ability (if they have any) and not his power level, only exception would be Whis as we are unsure about the nature of angels, but i largely doubt spybots would be able to gather dna to begin with as i doubt beings as powerful as those in DBS wouldn’t notice those machines going around. Even then, it is not guaranteed that it would be possible to create a being adaptable to those many dna without making it unstable or unable to maintain a proper form. If we are talking realistically, i would say that it could be possible for spybots to still gather data during the Buu saga resulting in a Cell that can reach a power level above peak Buu and with many hacks in his arsenal, but that’s it nothing more and i am being generous here.
Imagine that cell re-constructs the lab, creates another body with the cells of Broly, Beerus, Goku, Trunks, Gohan, Piccolo, and many more. And after creating the body, he just transmits his mind into the body

Okay I'm at 4:16 and I have a question or two. If Cell was only made from the cells of Piccolo, Vegeta, Goku, Frieza, and King Cold, then why or how does he have insect-based anatomy and physiology? I suspect that Gero actually took a baby insect (maybe a roach or something similar) and has the computer inject the cells of those other characters into the unborn baby bug body as it grows.
Cell was created with much more peoples cells than that. Dr gero did start his creation back from when goku was a kid actually so he also do has krillin, tien or gohan cells.
Actually, I believe Gero states in the anime that he deliberately didnt collect data from Trunks specifically, he already had 3+ Saiyan samples. Its not a good reason, but he *does* say it.
Broly's legendary super saiyan cells along with Beerus the Destroyer's cells and Hakai and the angel Whis's would already make it nigh unbeatable. The other world had an immortal being and the Omni-King himself, though it was erased. The normal one also had Garlic Jr who was immortal so I'm not sure why they didn't gather his data. Also I don't remember of Goku used the button to summon Zeno to Earth in the normal timelilne but if he did that'd be pretty major.
The problem with this is the split timeline/universe. Future trunks' time-line is 100% separate. So any battles taken place in the past that could have been viewed by the robots would have absolutely zero effect of future cell.
