I think this is the winner for my children's wedding. The last time I got my hair braided, I had the young lady use my straightening brush. It made a very big difference in the finished look.

I had the same issue with my daughter wanting to relax her hair at 11. I let her do it so she could have the experience. She hated it right away and decided to transition. Of course her hair ended up falling out, but as she transitioned, it grew back. She said she will never relax it again.
