What are your thoughts on Sharon Osbourne?

She doesn't love music, she loves money.

When black sabbath did this reunion they were signing autographs a record store near my house in Michigan. I slept outside in the cold and waited 12 hours to get my original black sabbath black sabbath album signed by every member of the band. I was so excited! Then it was my turn to shake their hands and get my album signed. First was Bill Ward who signed it no problem , and then security rushed over to let me know they would only sign the new album. I was a broke kid and couldn't but the hew album and I really didn't want the new album. I wanted my original album not the new one. I tried to move on to Geezer and the security grabbed me and yelled " put it away" and then ozzy started saying " put it away, put it away" over and over again. So I said fuck it. I shook their hands and told ozzy to fuck off . I'm sure it was that bitch Sharon who came up with the only the new album gets signed rule. I'm still pissed and it's been 25 or more years. I've bought so many of their albums over the years and they shit on me and broke my heart. I was a kid meeting my favorite band only to be dissed by them.

Bruce Dickinson…. The history professor, motivational speaker, pilot and the lead singer of iron maiden getting ragged on by the villain from 101 Dalmatian’s is how I see it… she’s vile. He’s a legend.

I know a few people who have met Bruce Dickinson a few times and they all say how lovely he is. Also, Bruce and Iron Maiden have nothing and no one to be jealous of.

Bruce is an extremely accomplished man. Self-made. Neither of which could be said about Sharon.

In the late 80's/early 90's I was a nationally ranked teen fencer based in Boston. It was well known that Iron Maiden's singer Bruce Dickinson was a fencer too in our community. One day I went to practice, and he was there getting in some practice in his off time while on tour. I fenced him and beat him, I was no slouch, ranked 4th in the USA at the time. Anywho, my Dad shows up, I tell him all about the famous guy at practice, my Dad is all "is that him"? He was waiting for his taxi on the sidewalk to bring him back to his hotel, my Dad rolls down the window, do you need a ride? He hopped in. We drove him 30 min out of our way back to his posh hotel. He wasn't a jerk like Sharon suggested in this video, was way down to earth, personable & VERY smart, he & my father had a great convo about American youth vs British. I got his autograph for a metal kid I was friends with at school. I couldn't really care less as metal as the genre wasn't my jam, but truly a great tale I share when I do meet metal fans. Thanks for that memory, Bruce.

Without giving too much away, as a guitarist I had dealings with her, she's hard as nails... absolutely ruthless, if she is on your side you will have an ideal manager and yet be ripped off financially... sums up the music industry really 😑

Her father was a ruthless rock and roll manager as well, so she had a good teacher. One thing that is undeniable is that absolutely NOBODY would ever know who she was without Ozzy Osbourne. She married her meal ticket and hasn’t let go since.

That Motley Crue story of Ozzy calling Sharon while on tour and totally stone faced says "I want a divorce" and her response being "Fuck off and go to sleep" tells you everything you need to know. She had total control. Even when he was sober.

This only scratches the surface because it doesn't mention all the musicians who worked in Ozzy's band, over the years, who were screwed by Sharon. Like the members of the Blizzard of Oz album, Jakie Lee, George Lynch, Carmine Appice and basically every musician who ever worked with Ozzy. It never ends well. Now, Ozzy and Sharon are suffering from the bad karma they earned.

Bruce Dickinson is one the greatest metal singers of all time. I personally saw the teleprompters on stage for ozzy .

I was in the pit at Ozzfest 2005. A special group of security-escorted people were brought in, eggs in hand, right before Iron Maiden went on stage. They were the ones who pelted them with eggs and were immediately escorted out of the pit afterward. No one in the actual audience did the egging.

Sharon & Ozzy stayed at our hotel on more than one occasion. Ozzy was always a gent, he was an easy customer to deal with and was happy to sit in the bar and chat to staff and other guests, he was a perfect VIP who had no airs and graces. Sharon, hmmm pretty much the opposite, she let her dogs shit in the room, we offered to walk them and she refused, just kept them in the room and we dealt with the inevitable mess, she was incredibly rude and seemed to believe that the world revolved around her. Ozzy is the talent, she’s ridden his coat tails and made a career out of being an outspoken individual, she’s a tough negotiator but sadly she thinks that toughness equals being a rude, entitled individual.

Bruce and Iron Maiden have nothing to be jealous about. They are the gold standard of all Heavy Metal bands.

I’m not really keen on her, but she was right about Vince Neil. He killed a man and gave two teenagers brain damage and continued to drive drunk. That’s a dreadful human being.

The fans didnt pelt Iron Maiden with eggs, it was Ozzys daughter and son, with help from their friends and the hospital staff that helped Sharon trought her cancer.

I met Bruce at a bar, short chat on finance and aviation maintenance business and a cheers. A great guy.

I was at Ozzfest 2005 Chicago and it was the moment Iron Maiden became my favorite band of all time! For Sharon to claim that Bruce made comments about Ozzy every night is simply not true.. I was there. If anything it was probably that it was difficult for BS to headline after IM exploded with an amazing show..

She's been notorious since the 70s. Black Sabbath even wrote a song about her...'Digital bitch'. I also remember someone, perhaps Ian Gillan or Tony Iommi looking at the cover of Ozzy's Ultimate Sin album and saying 'wow, that's Sharon's face...but that's not her ass!'

You had me at Sharon's claim that no one knows who Bruce Dickinson is or cares what he has to say. That's cute. And then she gets between Bill Ward and his old Black Sabbath mates. Unforgivable.

I still think it was Sharon that stopped Dio from being inducted with Black Sabbath in the R&R HoF. Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules are both top ten selling Black Sabbath albums, Dio should have been inducted with Black Sabbath.

Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake, and Jake E Lee lost a ton of royalties to Sharon and Ozzy.

Knew this was coming: Bruce Dickinson = Legendary frontman, Sharon = Legendary slimeball.. When so many people can't stand you? You get the point.

Drummers are always disrespected amongst bands and the business...it makes me sick Bill Ward wasn't treated right..just because he's the drummer...who by the way had his own sound and style that made Sabbath sound the way they did.

They left out the most egregious one, Lee Kerslake and Bob Daisley, the original blizzard of oz band. They with Randy Rhoads IMO created the best 2 albums Ozzy Ever recorded. Sharon gave them the boot and to rub salt on the wound put Tommy Aldridge and Rudy Sarzo’s photo on the back of Diary of a madman even though they never played on it! Then denied them unpaid royalty payments with her high powered attorneys. Not done yet. She had the first two albums they played on re-recorded with a different bass player and drummer! She said it was Ozzy’s idea but later on Ozzy said it was Sharon’s idea alone. Pure Evil!

Insane clown posse is still waiting on those charity donations from Sharon. Some people fully deserve everything bad that comes their way. Sharon is on the top of that list.

Most people don't realize they aren't Ozzy fans, they're Bob Daisley fans

Speaking as someone that used to live only a mile away down the road from Bruce Dickinson who used to see him around town a lot, I can honestly say what a lovely bloke Bruce is. This was years ago in 1987 when he lived near where I used to live but he was always friendly and would speak to my friends and me. Sharon however, was rude to a friend of mine who she interviewed on her chat show once. She kept belittling him. You didn’t see that when the show was broadcast, as they cut it out, but sitting in the studio audience we saw and heard everything. I never met her myself. I saw her at a distance, which was enough.

Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake, Bill Ward, Carmine Appice and Jake E Lee all had issues with Sharon. How many people have to complain before people look at Sharon?

Did you miss anything? Absolutely! A good friend of mine, in the industry, was offered to work with her and we discussed it and he said no way in hell. I knew about what she really is decades ago.

Bill Ward should have been on the black sabbath reunion tour.

Ive seen Sharon be one of the sweetest people on the planet, then turn around and be Evil Incarnate. You never know which Sharon you're gonna get. When she and ICP were on the Howard Stern show ICP said we've never met Sharon and Ozzy we would love the met them. Howard said they could stay and met them....they were excited. They met Sharon and Ozzy and she proceeded to rip them a new one out of nowhere. She had no reason to dislike them whatsoever. But she visibly hated them, I was shocked. Sharon and I have some mutual friends and Ive always heard great things about her. They always tell me she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Look folks , Sharon Osbourne gets all of this credit for resurrecting Ozzy . But she had Help doing this . She wasn't alone doing this . Her brother had something to do with it . But if there is any one in the world that deserves major credit for Ozzy even making it out of his Pizza and Beer Hotel Room purgatory , it's Dana Strum from Slaughter . Ozzy basically broke up Dana's Black Sabbath Tribute band in 1980 . Then Ozzy basically made Dana Drive him around Southern California to find a Guitarist for Blizzard Of Ozz . Ozzy was so grateful he ends up pissing all over Dana's Passenger Seat in his car being so drunk as repayment I guess . They end up Finding Randy Rhoades in this big adventure . Sharon Osbourne was no where to be found in this entire process . She wouldn't even give them money for Gas to look for a Guitarist . Dana spent his own money . Dana is the unsung Hero in Ozzy's Solo Success even getting off of the Ground in Legendary fashion For Sharon Osbourne to call Bruce Dickinson a Faceless Singer and unoriginal is laughable . Bruce Dickinson Jealous of Ozzy is laughable. At least Bruce wrote his own Songs in Iron Maiden that were Epic success . Ozzy couldn't write a Sentence in Black Sabbath or his Solo career . Ozzy had to have Ghost Writers like Bob Daisley to write his songs . Then Sharon would Stamp Ozzy's name on the Albums like the pirates Ozzy and Sharon are . Bruce Dickinson isn't Chasing Fame . If he isn't noticed in Public as a Celebrity , he is probably happy about that .

Don't forget all the guitarists she threw under the bus over the years and the fact that she had one album re-recorded with new members to avoid paying royalties to the original members.

ICP are some true unsung heroes of music tbh. whether you enjoy their music or not, they’ve always been quick to call out somebody doing something shady. they’ll always have my respect for that.

I still feel so sorry for Bill Ward. He’s a great and funny man and an excellent musician. Sharon has always been a horrible old crone.

I went to Ozzfest the last time Iron Maiden played it. Bruce showed me he was the hardest working frontman in metal. They played a solid set and Bruce ran, jumped, "swam", fought Eddie and sang his ass off and it was excellent. Didn't miss a line, didnt weeze out shit. Then I see a clip from a show from within the last couple years, and he's STILL doing it! It's been damn near 20 years since that show and he hasn't lost a step. Ozzy, Vince Neil, etc? They all look and sound like shit now compared to last time I saw them and I never saw ANYONE that put as much energy into performance as Bruce and do it near flawlessly. I'm not even real big on Maiden, but come on!

Sharon claims she "Saved" Ozzy. Truth is, her brother David got the Blizzard of Ozz project going, not Sharon. She even recommended Blizzard as one of the bands to cut in a budget meeting. But when she went to take care of a few things for David who went home due to family issues temporarily, Sharon began to weasel her way in. Wedging herself between Thelma and the Kids and Ozzy as well. Thelma and Ozzy wasn't estranged, Thelma WAS at the farm estate during Blizzard sessions!

Icp has earned my love a couple years back, i hate the music but admire their passion and generosity to their fans.

Went to see icp for the 20th anniversary great malenko show in santa cruz. Most fun I've ever had at a concert. Next to that the 02, 04, and 05 ozzfests were awesome shows. Highly recommend an icp show though

I can't stand the fact that she threw Bill Ward, Bruce Dickinson, and Billy Corgan under the bus. These absolute legends of rock n roll don't deserve that sort of treatment. She's right that most people wouldn't recognize Bruce Dickinson, but so what? That says nothing about his talent or his superior vocal range. If the composer of Star Wars, John Williams, walked up to you and said hi, you'd probably just think he's some random grandpa who needs help finding his grandchildren. That doesn't mean he's jealous of someone else's stardom. You don't need to be recognized. If anything, not being recognized is a luxury.

I remember reading a interview once from Till Lindemann from Rammstein. They were at one Ozfest and if I remember rightly a cable that wasn't fitted right came loose, while Ozzy was on stage, and it was from Rammstein's set. It was totally innocuous it didn't do anything it just fell, and Sharon went off on one at Till. He was was just dumbfounded and didn't understand what the problem was it was a small mishap.

Some truths: - Ozzy was washed up when fired from Black Sabbath in the late 70s and likely wouldn't have gone far as a solo singer without Sharon's brains, connections and sharp business sense. - At the same time, while Sharon was instrumental in Ozzy's career, she got Ozzy where he was by stomping on everyone in her way to get there. It doesn't matter if it's other bands or musicians in his own bands. The Osbourne camp's official lore is that Randy Rhodes has their deepest respects. But make no mistake, if poor Randy wasn't killed in that plane accident, he'd have been chewed up and spat out by the Osbournes at some stage in the 80s - I guarantee it! - The Osbourne MTV show was a complete embarrassment and I'm sure I wasn't the only long term fan that winced at it. I'm convinced that the majority of viewer didn't even know who Ozzy was before that show. And they sure didn't know who Sharon was. It made Ozzy famous to the general public, but for all the wrong reasons. Bruce Dickinson might be less known to non metal heads, but at least he has his dignity. - A lot of Ozzy's music is good, especially his first two solo albums and the first 6 Sabbath albums. But he relied heavily on people around him - writers, musicians etc. It was not just Ozzy and Randy Rhodes (later Zakk Wylde) along with a bunch of hired hands.

yes well Bruce may fly under the radar but Maiden don't have loads of dramatics attached to their history. they stuck to the business of making records and touring. they cared about the product. Sharon would consider that approach very boring.

The story of Don Costa, bass player..., Arrives with his family at US fest, Ozzy ask to see him in RV. Don comes out with a smashed nose. I never knew this story until years later. Costa was shredding on bass and doing the most macabre shit, like he taped a cheese grater to his bass, grating his knuckles and flinging blood into the audience was taking attention away from Oz... Sharon told Don to knock it off when Ozzy was singing... He told a roadie he still did it when Ozzy wasnt' looking, The roadie told Sharon ... she told Oz and Don Costa returned to San Diego never to be heard from again. In grade school In Alpine Ca.. I was in the same grade as Don and he had a band called Ignition with Paul Branton and Larry Rushing. My brothers band was called Robin Steal. there was a battle of the bands one night in El Cajon and I was there to see my brother. This other band, Teazer - with this guy that looked like my brother but skinnier, Jake E Lee.... Jake was there at the US fest when Don got the Glasgow Kiss from Ozzy... the replacement bass guy was there and played the set. Thank you Sharon and Ozzy, you suck. Stage jealousy, ya Don should have chilled, but physical assault. The thing about Don according to other musicians.. He played super technical and was told his stage presence was boring. He took it to the extreme. I never saw him perform, post transformation, but pictures I saw are fucking amazing, biting a chain and using a trawl hoe on the strings. one wonders what could of should of been.

20 years from now Bruce, Vince, Billy and ICP will still be remembered for their contributions to music. 20 years from now the only time anybody will think of Sharon is when MTV does a "throwback marathon" of that reality show....

I loved Ozzy in Sabbath and a lot of his earlier solo stuff. He's definitely one of the founders of heavy metal, but he's handed his soul to Sharon. Granted, I'm sure some of the business deals she's made have helped Ozzy remain successful (and alive in general), but clearly she's a fan of creating drama and has definitely not handled some deals well at all, like the Sabbath reunion for example. Bill deserved much better than that, and Ozzy seems like he didn't do a damn thing about it.

Irrespective of what Ozzy stated, Sharon was not Black Sabbath's manger for the period in question, nor was she the Tour manager. What happened to Bill had nothing do with Sharon.

You missed a ton of rock musicians, roadies, other band managers, legions of rock fans, etc. She has been a real prize at certain times.

Dickinson wasn't saying bad things about Ozzy, it was about the tour and the mechanics of it.

I was there for ozzfest iron maiden had the best show. Black sabbath playing afterwards was a snore. I also remeber the egg throwing and music cut off.

For Sharon to say all that about Bruce Dickinson and intentionally ruin Maiden's gig shows just how pathetic she is. She should be praising him -- Bruce is a fellow cancer survivor. He's also accomplished many great things outside of Maiden. She's managed to build quite a career OFF OF OZZY, I'll give her that.

She is right about the fact I wouldn't know Bruce Dickinson if I saw him in public. Never took to them. It's really surprising Ozzy's career didn't plummet because of Sharon and how terrible she is to everyone. How does anyone even want to work with Ozzy?

Why on Earth would Bruce Dickinson be jealous of Ozzy Osbourne, the man has a far superior voice, is clean living, has an accomplished career as a lead and solo musician, is a qualified Captain (pilot) of various airlines, has medals as a championship Fencer. Where as Ozzy couldn't hold a note if it bit him on the a r s e, and only recognised accomplishments are recovering from drugs and alcoholism and managing to survive. Jealous yea right 🤣

Sharon says that Bruce is jealous. Sounds like projection to me. Ozzy is probably jealous of Bruce. It's obvious that Bruce has better pipes than Ozzy, hands down.

She has stood by her husband through thick and thin. Sharon is a hell of a manager in a ruthless business. She brought back Ozzy when he was nothing and made him successful - VERY successful. I like her, even if I am not too sure about her methods. If Sharon was a man in that business nobody would care. Was Peter Grant an angel? Was her father?

when you come to think of it, iron maiden is what influenced metallica and other metal bands. for sharon to say bruce is a nobody in the industry is shameful, bruce has lived on to be apart of one of the best metal bands ever.
