I agree with the sentiments here regarding the abysmal treatment of Michael Anthony. Never cared much for this band's output after DLR left. Too syrupy. Always thought EVH and his brother thought too much of themselves.

Interesting how you cherry pick parts of a story or controversy. Either this guy is a KISS hater, or uneducated to "the rest of the story". Seriously? Dee Snider, Nikki Sixx, Sharon Osbourne, Ace Frehley, Peter Criss, Vinnie Vincent... yeah... Gene was the problem. That is the who's who of angry, bitter people in the business. And Carlos Santana??? can anyone pick him out of a lineup? If just being a "musician" is what it takes to be a rockstar, no wonder he is as obscure as he is... his logic is flawed. It takes a persona, image, charisma and presence that he never had. I realize Gene is a douchebag, but at least get your stories "complete" instead of taking headlines and creating a one-sided narrative.
In the second "Ace & Peter are back" tour, during one performance they were doing a Gene song and Gene's voice crashed. He tried to get it back and couldn't. Peter took over the vocals and sang Gene's song better than Gene ever did. KISS would have been much greater if Gene's method of making Gene greater wasn't to make the other members lesser. It would have gone better for Gene to lift them up, and let their rising tide lift him up. But he's not wired that way. Gene's ego always held KISS back, and eventually destroyed it.

Bach should have ask, but maybe he knew the answer. I think it was more about the band not wanting involved with money grubbing Gene. Bach just loved kiss and trusted people more than he should.
Ace made money off the merchandise That didn't sit good with Gene out of the band. No Disrespect to replacements they did their job well, knowing everyone thought about Ace and Peter every time they played.
