This is the analysis I wanted to hear. The difficulties of his approach in a game and willingness to adapt from challenging opposition and their tactics. Everyone praising the 343, but you did the right thing, analyse the frailty of it. Can he adapt, can he surprise with something different, can he make the players believe in what he has in his mind? Those are the questions
Mr Scarlett, I’ll have to disagree with you on this one. Being able to adapt tactically doesn’t only rely on a manager but on the players too. Yes, Eth may have has his issues with adapting to another teams tactics but our players cannot adapt too. There were times when our players had to keep the ball and find an opening but they didn’t . They hoof it up to Forward players and expect them to constantly run after the ball. My biggest disagreement is that the new manager will be able to adapt tactically because he won’t be the one implementing the tactical changes but the players. Only time will tell but I think the new manager will face the same issues with tactics as ten hag. It may not be right now but in time you’ll see it
Nope. If you say this in the first 6 months then its understandable. If youre still saying this after 2+ years and 600+ mil spent, it clearly indicates poor tactical and strategical coaching amongst many other things
Having just seen his interview with the Portuguese press, I could not help but think he would make the game more fun for the players once again. I don't know what it was like under ETH, whom I favoured, but I think he may have been too disciplined and took the fun out of it. After all the game is played for fun.
This appointment has obviously been in the works for some time. Buying two centrebacks and getting Ugarte in when there were cheaper and/or better alternatives available. INEOS have obviously had Amorim in mind althogh Im not sure how Zirkzee fits unless he plays as a split striker opposite Hojlund in a 3-4-1-2 but that would mean them both having to maintain a high intensity press along with the no 10 and the wingbacks I do think playing 3 at the back with wingbacks makes a lot of sense with our current personnel but we do need a reliable replacement for Shaw.
Eth shot himself in the foot . See how this guy brings in an extra midfielder. When ETH did that at the end of last season we got better. But guess what he went back to what made us lose in the first place. He was just too stubborn ...even pep had to adapt
I know you went off grid because of the disappointing results of ETH lately, but bro, we missed your analysis. We are UNITED, in good and bad times. Surely we will get back to the top.
Hi Mr Scarlet Report, long time, we missed your analysis in most recent games and whenever i came and found no new analysis, I knew it and got worried for Ten Hag. I concluded he was is gone
I think what will make this appointment very different is that Amorim is hired under a proper football leadership, while ETH was recruited without such backing. What INEOS has done ever since their takeover had shown a great level of competence and efficiency. Clearly they have a direction where they want to go and how they will get there. Of course you can still pick on things that they might have missed here and there, but please look at the big picture. The best thing is, we no longer put all of our hopes for a united revivial on one man, the manager. Amorim may or may not work out, but i am quite sure that the club and the team would still make positive progress regardless.
Man UTD do not have the players to play that system nor do they have the tactical understanding or mentality to do so, he's going to fail just like ten hag if the club don't sell alot of these players especially ones who have been there since Mourinho days
Mr scarlet..pls i want you to answer my question..why are we more aggressive when westham score..?? Definitely sir Erik ten hag tactics needs his players to more aggressive to push his opponent half-line
what do you guys think. Will amorim get the pressing right when players after 3 YEARS OF TRAINING still has no clue of ques or use needed intensity. Theres still players who basically does not do it 100%. And just like you showes our players still cannot handle opposition press at all. Currently we just throw long balls to hojlund. Will amorim..using same players get it?
ten hag has brilliant style of play at ajax too. so same thing could happen to amorim. if utd going to keep these utd players, only an experienced coach can bring utd forward. tuchel was a real miss out fr. amorim need to be given his players otherwise he will end up like ten hag.😂😂😂
Eric Ten Haag doesn't know how to manage high profile players I really like and respect him I just pray that the united players don't disgrace Amorim the way they did to Ten Haag
Who in Manchester United squad is going to hold on to the ball in midfield, run toward defenders, give the pass and attack half spaces ahead. Certainly not Bruno who is looking for every reason to fall down instead taking advantage of movement of players, pass the ball and provide link up during attack. Our attackers are always alone and on their own against defenders when playing with Bruno as he passes the ball and wait to see how lucky they are to get find the net. He is toothless after his passes and leaves too much for his teammates to do. The opposition does not need to waste any defender tracking him because he is not dangerous when no is in front of him. That's why we can't build a counter attack.
The problem is every manager coming brings his players, and after the manager is sacked that players we can't move out because they don't perform well. We should get rid of rashford,Shaw , Maguire, Bruno,Dalot because they are only good at giving speeches
